How have I never reviewed Fiori's? You know how sometimes you just want a pizza that scratches that pizza-craving itch? This is where I go when I'm having that feeling. It's not the closest for me, and parking can be a little tricky (try the small lot across from the BP but, if that's filled, it's up steep Capital Ave. you go). But this pie is worth it. It's what I would call a Pittsburgh pizza --medium thickness, chewy crust, some char, some nice bubbles in the crust, a slight sweetness to the sauce. Cheese ratio is always perfect. Nothing gimmicky about it; a few spots to sit down but it's primarily built for takeout. It's just a really solid pizza. Always add on a Turner's iced tea! read more

Been hearing a lot lately about Fiori's and gave it a shot. Busy lunchtime but staff were very friendly and helpful. Seemed like many locals and repeat customers (always a good sign). Had an Italian hoagie and a large pizza, pepperoni mushroom. Hoagie was good and I'm ranking as my third favorite in the area (Danny's is still #1). I prefer more seasoning in the dressing and found the Fiori dressing a bit lighter flavored than I like, not enough oregano. The roll was a bit too wide for the meat, causing the edges to get nice and crispy but the center of the roll stayed somewhat soggy. Still enjoyed it and my wife gave it higher marks than me. The pizza was also good but it didn't wow me like a Badamo's does on first try. Somewhat similar to a Mineo's pie, well cheesed with toppings under the cheese, allowing things to slide off easily, especially when fresh out of oven. A solid pie that I'll certainly get again but for my inflated expectations it didn't wow. Parking a little difficult on the steep cobblestone street but worth the effort. Will definitely come here again. And for what it's worth, if it's good enough for Joe, Sofia and Billy G, it's good enough for me! read more

Wow! Holy moly, the positive reviews are pretty much dead on! Admittedly, we only had a large Pepperoni and Sausage pizza, so I can't speak to the rest of the food, but WOW! It's amazing pizza. I've had really good pizza and some really bad pizza at numerous locations across the US, and this is a hidden gem. The staff were all friendly, attentive and hustling at the counter and at the ovens. Not a big place, maybe 10 tables total and it seemed that it was very popular with the neighborhood folks. It had a steady stream of business during the hour we were there. They should be proud of themselves for the pizza they serve Very filling too. Just the right amount of flop. Crust always has a slight crisp around it but nice and fluffy in the middle. The first bite was amazing. It was a good amount of cheese, which was paired with a good ratio of sweet tomato sauce. But if you're big on the bread part of the pizza, this might not pass. As you get to the crust end of your pizza slice, the dough gets more noticeably difficult to chew. Dough was good flavor but chewy. Pepperoni and mushroom toppings were fresh and well made. Pittsburg PA near our Air BNB in Durmont. Nothing to write home about. Say the cut is just a slice because you may have got another pizza order at 12" out of us because the vegetarians wanted a little more. The 12inch I did purchase was okay. Mostly because it sat for a while ready for pick up and their estimated time was off. I think a much better if you swap the canned mushrooms for fresh. The real sausage was a plus though. Cheese would have been great hot but hardens as it sits. So as mine sat waiting for me, it had started the process of hardening. My one coworker was raving about how good this pizza place was. I'm not going to lie, I have heard of Fiori's before, but never partook in anything from there. My coworker described this as one of those places that you could categorize as the best pizza you have ever had. We all have that one pizza spot that we would fight to the death over stating that it was the best pizza in town. I have mine, but this could rival that. This coworker of mine decided to be nice and order in a few items for us all to try. It was kind of amazing that he did such a thing, he didn't have to, but he wanted to. He ordered two pizzas, one with pepperoni and one plain, an order of mozzarella sticks, and I can't remember the other items. I wasn't going to originally partake, but after some persuasion from this coworker I caved and took a few items. I first tried the mozzarella stick and didn't find this too wowing. Every pizza joint has their own version of these and there was nothing special about it. What did wow me was the pizza, particularly the pepperoni pizza. I enjoyed that the slices of pepperoni did that little puckering thing that essentially makes them pools for all that pepperoni grease. If you have a bread stick it is great to dip in there and sop it up. Now, as for the pizza itself. I did enjoy it a bit. Right amount of crust, sauce, cheese, toppings ratio. But what threw me a bit was the sauce. Their sauce was maybe a tad bit too sweet for me. I swear I tasted some cinnamon in that mix but I cannot be certain. Now, is this the best pizza in town, one to fight to the death for? That I cannot answer. I think I might have to have a blind tasting with what I might consider that to be and see where I come out in that. read more

The pizza and wings here are simply fantastic! As someone who sparingly gives out five star reviews I can say without a doubt that this place is worthy of one, and I think all the locals would tend to agree! The sauce they use for the pizza has the perfect amount of sweetness to it and their buffalo wings are the perfect size and cooked just right. I do wish the buffalo sauce had a bit more kick to it, I'll ask about this next time I'm in. They even use the right pepperoni on their pizza as the better pepperoni tends to cup as it cooks. The slices had a good balance of cheese and sauce however the cheese on my pizza didn't say attached to the pizza so it was difficult eating together but it we fine b/c I'm more of a topping person than the actual bread/crust. Having made different pizza sauces over my life including many different variety of tomatoes, not sure how this gets so sweet. The first bite tastes good with a nice crust that was cooked perfectly. The pizza itself is a thinner crust type slice. While it is not my favorite, there is no denying that it is a delicious pizza. It is a sweeter sauce, which I am usually not a big fan of.
