This was our second visit. On the first visit my husband had the pork chop. He said that half of it was great and the other half overdone. I had the chopped salad and it was just "okay." $14 for a mediocre salad was a disappointment. For that price I expect fresh ingredients. It was tired. Four of us had dinner last night. They had half price wine with some good selections. One of us had wings--generous portion, good sauces. I had the salmon--very small portion highly charred with a few tiny pieces of cucumber and one grape tomato. The citrus broth was a great addition, however. Two people in our party tried the pork chop again. It was a big portion, but very dry throughout this time. The accompanying jalapeño grits were delicious. Service was good. Prices were high, but they are everywhere these days. Bottom line: mixed bag. We will try them again and hope for consistency. read more

we knew they would be way busy. but no one would even answer the phone. the recording said they would call back in 24 hours. We get this. But we were here early on when they were struggling, and loved it. So we said let's just stop and have a drink and see what's what. we went in. it was a mess. we asked if there were any cancellations. they said no. we said ok we get it. we said is it ok if we just get a drink. they no. we're busy. there's no room. this while 80% of the bar seats were open. we didn't care if we sat. just wanted to get a drink and enjoy a pause. they said no. bar is reserved. we're all full. this is not not how you build customer loyalty, nor business in the winter. hope it lasts for you all. oh by the way. we went to village supper club. who had a 2 1/2 hour wait. we just stopped for drinks. they welcomed us. said it was as busy as they told us. but we could have drinks. this is a place that has a 3 month waiting list and a view to die for! before you know it, it's 9:20 pm, and our dinner is about to be served. their wait staff and food have been amazing. read more

We came in late one evening, just before closing time and received excellent service. We had a drink before our dinners of salmon and the steak. We ordered a great bottle of wine. Finished it off with dessert and coffee. I believe we were among the last to leave but at no point were we hurried. The staff are extremely professional and the service is impeccable. The food is the best in the area. There are only two or three Lake Geneva restaurants at the same level. We will be going back to try the Fish Fry and Pizza but it's nice to know that when you want to splash out on a really good meal the Fire 2 Fork is where you want to go locally. Our experience was much less than expected. From the host who had a poor attitude and cold, we immediately felt uncomfortable. Our waitress finally arrived at our table after waiting a long time and took our drink order. After waiting an unusually long time, I got up and had to hunt her down to find our drinks. We gave it the excuse of being short staffed? When we finally ordered our food, we should have realized how long it would be given our wait for drinks to begin with. After another agonizing wait, our food finally arrived with great disappointment. Two of our guests ordered lamb which was mostly fat with a sliver of edible lamb meat. Not only inferior but tough too. Two other guests ordered the shortribs. These too were inferior to most standards. First of all, the portions were 2in x 2in pieces of short rib meat atop 4 flat noodles - that's it! When I brought my concerns to the host and waitress, not to mention my embarrassment for recommending this place, the staff seemed indifferent and said "I'm sorry". I have to say, we're sorry too. Finally, finally, something more than the same old supper club or pub food. We did take out, but I'm tempted to book to eat in soon because it's one of only a few restaurants in Walworth County that actually takes COVID seriously. Social distancing - check, masks required and ENFORCED - check, staff masked and gloved - check. Now to the food. My sister was craving a burger so we each had a burger, hers with cheddar, and of course the duck fat fries, and my nephew had a pizza. The burgers were juicy and well seasoned, and since they were cooked over a wood fire that made them all the better. House made brioche bun just topped things off. Pizza was nice and crispy, with great options for designing your own. The duck fat fries were as good as promised, still crispy and tasty by the time we got them home. The takeout containers were recyclable or compostable, so none of this styrofoam garbage filling up our landfills. I liked the decor: contemporary, casual chic with an open kitchen to the wonderful fire cooking. I have very fond memories of eating at Millies so seeing this as a restaurant again is fabulous. I'm just sorry it's taken me this long to know it was here. I think I'm going to try and eat in or take out from here once a week all summer long to give my money to a deserving enterprise. read more

Went for this first time last night and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff was very friendly and greeted us the minute we walked in the door. The decor was rustic and industrial. The place was immaculate and the wide open kitchen area where you can see all the food prep and cooking going is awesome. Started off with some small plate appetizers Spotted Cow battered cheese curds and the charcuterie board where awesome. Their take on baked French onion soup is amazing. That night one of the dinner specials was a maple brown sugar brined chicken with roasted vegetables and salad. Out of this world!!! The wings are great and the burgers are too! Would recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be going back! Waitress was very informative and new the whole menu/desert menu front to back. For those who know the Lake Geneva area, this is located in the old Millie's Pancake location. They have only been open a few months but it is already our second time at Fire 2 Fork. We we were worried that the initial impression may have worn down slightly as the winter season up in the Lake Geneva area is a difficult time for all restaurants. We have delighted to say that was not the case, and based on how crowded it was in January the word is getting out about how good Fire 2 Fork is. It has a large, open wood grill in the middle and the kitchen is a flurry of activity as they expertly plate each dish. We tried the Chef's Choice 4 course menu and it was excellent. Our server Courtney was wonderful and we will definitely make this a regular spot on our trips up north. One small thing we noticed that was improved was the lighting was dimmed, making the mood more intimate and enjoyable. The head chef, Jesse, stopped by to talk with us and indicated that others had commented on the lighting so he had it fixed. Great to know they care about the whole dining experience. We are all dressed up and excited about dining at this restaurant Friday night. We walked in, receptionist asked if we have reservation, we said no. She told us they are all booked. Then we asked if we can sit at the bar, answer is no without trying to find us a table. There are tables available inside and outside the restaurant. You would think they would have at least made an effort to do something, unfortunately not. We live within a block of the restaurant... no chance we will go back based on unimportant we were treated. Hope they can continue their run but based on how we were treated it will only be a matter of time. So sad! read more

But kind of weird that we asked to sub mashed potatoes for fries and she said the mashed was only available as a side with the specials. Ok strike 1. His ribs were so tough he couldn't eat them. We ordered the goat cheese as an appetizer. Delicious but such a tiny portion. We asked for crackers and the runner said we don't have any and scurried away. We tracked down our sweet waitress and she came up with some crostini, so that was nice. Another diner had crab cakes, good but tiny portion. Tried the pizza, we where very impressed with the pictures of the pizza on their menu. Ordered a pizza, it looked nothing like the menu , some slices had no ingredients., only cheese, one piece had 10 pieces of sausage, the other zero, the crust was soft and gummy. Wow!!! Thought we'd stop in and try out Fire2Fork because we drive by it all the time. Soooo glad we did. The hostess found us a table right away. Our server, Dakota, was fantastic, so attentive! We ordered the special which was Walleye! I have never had fish taste so delicious and the corn side made me want to lick the plate! Loved this place! Sat outside, patio lovely at sunset - lights and plenty of space bw tables. Ethan was our server and he was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Cocktail list was extensive and all we're well made and generous size. Friday fish fry was definitely a cut above the rest. Spotted Cow beer batter could not have been better. And the duck fat fries were totally worth the damage to any diet. Appetizers were unique and super tasty. Can't wait go back and try some of the other things on the menu. The food was just OK. One member of our party had to return her food. Even though our group had been told we could have separate checks, the waitress handed one guest a huge check for everyone. It took 1/2 hour to sort it out. Two couples called for reservations and they were told the restaurant was filled. Not so.. there were empty seats at our table on the patio and empty tables. I gave the business two stars because the food is excellent. The pizza is outstanding, and always done right. The service was the reason that I am writing this review. First we made reservations a week prior. When we arrived Saturday evening 20 minutes before our 630 reservation, they did not have our name on the list. My friend explained that she had called on Monday left a message and somebody called her on Thursday to confirm the reservation. They did reluctantly seat us , however that was the beginning of the bad. It took about 20 minutes for somebody to take our drink order and another 20 minutes for us to get the first round of drinks. My friend who ordered Jack Daniels was told 20 minutes later when the drinks arrived that they no longer had Jack. She would have to order something else. She did, and that came 20 minutes later when they came back to take our food order. We ordered salads and pizza. Salads first, then pizza. The pizza came before the salad. They completely forgot about the salad and brought us a to go box so we can take the salad home. They kept bringing us food ordered by the table next to us. We became a joke between the 2 tables. We never saw the waitress when we needed to. On 2 separate occasions my husband walked into the restaurant to the hostess stand to remind them we haven't seen our waitress in 20 + minutes.
