Hate to say it but don't do it The smell was so good but the taste wasn't for me. If you're a big fan of Japanese bbq or are craving bbq this isn't for you. The staff was very friendly but the food wasn't authentic or tasty to me. I got the fire steak bowl and there wasn't much steak and the teriyaki was lacking in flavors for me. The bowl was pretty small too for 23$ without tax. Skip it and go elsewhere

Staff was nice, food was ok. We tried the Chicken Fire Bowl. It was pretty salty and tasted more like teriyaki than anything with heat. Maybe it was teriyaki but the receipt does say spicy. On the plus side it was a pretty generous portion.

Great portions and open late night. I came and got a veggie garlic noodle dish, and it was so saucy. They asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce on it, and I should've said no because it was already drenched in sauce. The sauce was tasty though and there were a lot of fresh veggies, but it was too much sauce overall in my opinion. I would definitely like to try the other items on the menu next time though.

My daughter and I ate here a couple of months ago after a long day of moving. We originally placed a takeout order but decided to eat in-house because we had no idea where our silverware was. :-) The food was delicious, and the workers were very conscientious of making us happy. We'd definitely eat here again!

The food and portion sizes are amazing. There are so many options and it is all freshly made in front of you. The staff is very kind and the food itself is so so good with all of the sauces. Definitely have leftovers if you order only for yourself. The service was a little slow and the price is a bit much but honestly I loved the food quality and the portions so much.

Took about 20 minutes for a takeout order, which was less than ideal. The food actually tastes great, but the portion sizes were a joke. It's basically $25 for a bowl of rice. There's 7 pieces of steak and veggies that are sliced thinly to appear like it's a lot but there's nothing there. If the portions were better, I'd be a regular but likely not making it back.

We dined in, I got the fire chicken bowl. They let us know it'd be about 25 minutes, which felt considerate to tell us and not too bad to wait for 4 bowls. Food was so delicious and great portions for price. My friends liked the garlic noodle bowls. Staff was extremely kind and accommodating to all of their customers it seemed. They really cared that we enjoyed our meals!

Placed my delivery order at 2:22 p.m at 7:53 p.m still stays in process and I can't cancel it! Called the restaurant numerous of times still no answer! You would think the restaurant would at least cancel on there end, BUT NOPE TUHHHHHH NEVER AGAIN! It's 7:57 p.m still says processing.

Saw this place recently opened up and have been craving hibachi so I figured I would give it a try. Great service from the cashier even with them being predominantly take out. I went with udon over rice just due to how much rice I eat. The noodles were al dente and lathered in garlic butter. My only suggestion would be to use less butter as my lips felt greasy for the rest of the night. The chicken was a little bland but not a problem when mixed with everything else. Fair amount of veggies as well. Finally, their red spicy sauce was great- very similar to siracha. A nice kick to add another flavor to the savory taste.

This place is special!…read more Immediately transported me back to Osaka when I walked in. Was at Taste of Randolph with a big group of friends and had to sneak off for a solo mission to get Okonomiyaki! Even though everywhere was insanely busy the host at Gaijin was so accommodating and sat me at the Chef's table. I was on a slight time restraint so I wasn't gone too long before my friends realized I was missing. The waitress was so nice and I was able to put in an order for a Highball and Pork Okonomiyaki very fast. Sipping on a Highball while watching the food cooking up in the kitchen captured the exact vibe I missed from Japan. The Pork Okonomiyaki was unreal! A taste and quality I never thought I would be able to get back home. Sweet, Savory, Umami, all the flavors that make them so addictive. I can't wait to return and bring friends. They have Hiroshima style with the yakisoba which I also miss from my travels there. We are going to have to order multiple of everything. & MUST try their donuts, they look dangerously good.

The matcha kakkigori also wasn't shaved fine enough to keep the ice from melting into Hawaiian style shaved ice. The Osaka style beef and traditional Hiroshima style yaki saved the meal enough to enjoy ourselves though, and were very flavorful. The restaurant itself is tucked right behind Morgan station but is so much bigger inside. The furniture and even dishware also felt like they were picked very intentionally to complement the grilling plates. The layout of the restaurant means it can be great for really any kind of occasion or group size.

I got the chamomile tea, miso soup, Broccoli Goma-ae, and a few orders of nigiri. If you want freshly made-to-order, I would avoid the rolls as I saw them make a bunch ahead of time on trays. For dessert I got the Satsumaimo Taruto. All of the dishes were yummy! Portions were just right. Service was attentive and professional. In terms of quality, I can't say it's the absolute best sushi I've had, but it's still good and it's on par with the price and ambiance. Solid dinner spot. I would come back again!

I will say for what you get it's pricey and might leave you a little hungry if you're just ordering the sushi/nigiri. But again very good bites. Definitely make a reservation. I will say the server helped me pick gluten free options and asked if I was celiac (they have a GF menu so ask for that). The service was pretty slow, but again it's always packed. For reference I went on a Monday evening alone. It's for sure a vibey place. Great for birthdays or groups that are looking to have a fun night out. It's loud inside with music bumping so not exactly a place to sit and have conversations. Will say wish I could give this 3.5 stars because it wasn't bad just maybe not my vibe.

Every bite was amazing - but beware, the Crispy Maguro definitely packs on the heat. I also recommend the Snow Maiden sake if you like a sweeter sake. We dined in the Booze Box section and it was super vibey, but not too loud where we had to yell over the music or anything. The servers were attentive, will definitely keep going back (especially for Restaurant Week)!

Service was solid, and our waiter gave thoughtful recommendations that helped us decide what to order. We ordered the sashimi sampler and the ninniku crudo to start. The handrolls came out at a really good pace, which we appreciated since it let us enjoy each one fresh. The fish itself was definitely fresh and everything was well prepared. My favorite handroll was the spicy hotate. The otoro temaki was good, but we have had better otoro elsewhere. My husband also got the sake temaki and mentioned that the salmon was a bit chewy. Overall, nothing really stood out as particularly memorable. Our bill ended up being close to $200, and while the food was good, it was not quite mind blowing for that price point. Overall, a solid spot with nice ambiance and fresh fish, just not necessarily a standout for us.
