After the driver cut me and another driver off as we merged onto the highway, I watched them continue to speed down the highway, cutting through traffic, cutting off other drivers and forcing their way into gaps that they had no business doing so. This is not the first time I've had issues with their work vans either. I would not recommend this company as long as they continue to hire poor drivers who have no concern for others safety.

Another company said they would only rebuild the entire fireplace and chimney. We never intend to use the fireplace and just needed to protect it from weather and creatures getting in. (We couldn't afford a complete rebuild in any case.) Lifetime Chimney saved us! They completed some repairing so they could install a cover/ cap, and they pressure washed the chimney. Miguel did an excellent job and was very kind. When I first called in, I spoke with Brian who was incredibly helpful! I was worried when I called in, but Brian explained what they needed to do. He patiently gave me clear information. The chimney looks great and it makes the house look great. We're relieved to have it protected now. I would hire this company again!

However Dmitri didn't give up and successfully managed to tighten the parts after applying sealant. Since it was still warm outside, we didn't use the heater until 4-5 days later when Dmitri came back to verify the sealant he used had cured properly. Then sometime in February Conrad texted me about a promotion they had for a tune-up and maintenance service. Happy to accept and Leo came and performed the verification. Great they could accommodate my time as well: again a Saturday.

I almost fell for this trick. But as he pressed me to make an appointment, he asked me what kind of a/c unit I have, which is an odd question for someone who has worked on our equipment previously. I then asked him directly, "Have I done business with you before?" No response. So I asked again. No response. It turns out, I have no record of doing business with Conrad Heating & Cooling, because we have never done business with this company! I told him I would not be scheduling anything with Conrad. This representative didn't even know what type of unit we have, confirming there was no prior relationship. The familiar tone of the initial text was a deliberate tactic to create a false sense of trust. And I find that very offensive! I'd encourage other homeowners, especially seniors who are frequently targeted by this kind of approach, to read unsolicited texts carefully. If a company implies they've worked with you before, ask specific questions before agreeing to anything. In this case, the deception became obvious very quickly.

Initially, a person named Savvy started responding and said they would credit my account. That was not good enough because I didn't owe them anything. They had taken 2 payments from me totaling over $600. Once I got Savvy to understand that I had paid in full and filed a chargeback with my credit card company, Savvy issued the $175 plus tax refund (I live in Oregon, why was I even charged tax). It turns out Paul, who initially came out, incorrectly applied the payment so Ted, the electrician that did the work, and Savvy, who worked with me on my complaint, didn't see the first payment. This whole situation was a mess. I will not use them or any of their companies (1-800- Plumber Pacific, MEP Pros, etc.) again. I'll try a different electrician that won't attempt to scam me out of my hard earned money.

Additionally, we needed a garage fan installed in gable of garage for airflow. The team did all this, and even came back a few days later to confirm fan louvers were closing as intended when fan turns off (for a moment, looked like they weren't working properly so we let Sun Glow know). They also had a plumber come out to do a quick fix on a bathroom faucet that had gone askew when Electricians were installing new wall outlet. Sun Glow wasn't the least expensive of all quotes we got, but as new and first time homeowners, you have to make a decision to invest in your house for yourselves in the now and for potential sale in the future. They had good representation and presence on Yelp, Google, and Angi's listing, showing longevity and commitment to tasks and efforts for quality service. So, yeah, we went with Sun Glow and now we have the satisfaction that things were done to code, and we know if anything did go wrong (related in scope of work) they'd be sure to come out and fix it.
