Homr electrical project investment. We had an outdoor GFCI that needed replacing, four new GFCIs to add (two indoor, one outside, one in garage). Additionally, we needed a garage fan installed in gable of garage for airflow. The team did all this, and even came back a few days later to confirm fan louvers were closing as intended when fan turns off (for a moment, looked like they weren't working properly so we let Sun Glow know). They also had a plumber come out to do a quick fix on a bathroom faucet that had gone askew when Electricians were installing new wall outlet. Sun Glow wasn't the least expensive of all quotes we got, but as new and first time homeowners, you have to make a decision to invest in your house for yourselves in the now and for potential sale in the future. They had good representation and presence on Yelp, Google, and Angi's listing, showing longevity and commitment to tasks and efforts for quality service. So, yeah, we went with Sun Glow and now we have the satisfaction that things were done to code, and we know if anything did go wrong (related in scope of work) they'd be sure to come out and fix it. Sun Glow did an amazing same day job, inspecting, testing, and cleaning our air conditioning unit. We had a terrible skunk odor that was coming from our air conditioning unit and entering the house through the HVAC system. The gas company led us to believe that the air conditioning motor was burning itself up and needed to have power shut off at breaker. Turned out, it was a skunk that had sprayed the air conditioning unit. Our service technician Diego from Sun Glow, took the time to communicate with us as he tested all of the air conditioning components and explained the units entire functionality. I had an emergency dealing with my outdoor hose bib and waste drain pipe that required to shut off the main water supply to my entire house. I reached out to Brian and he had a technician, Michael, out to my house the same day. Michael was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We booked with them after they sent over the quotes and scheduled the next day. Definitely made it work and we're flexible with my schedule. Michael was able to take care of the hose bib first to have water supplying the house. Then took care of replacing the waste drain pipe. I just had Sun Glow move a 12 foot section of gas line on the outside of my house. They did a fantastic job! The Sun Glow representative, Jarrod, arrived 3 minutes early and was very professional. He worked efficiently and took care around the plants and siding to make sure nothing was damaged. The work was finished on time (2 hours) and then he did a leak test on the line, no leaks! He also ensured all the gas appliances in my house were working properly. All the pilot lights were lit and the air in the line was purged. The best part was the cost. It was just over $400, the next closest estimate was over $700. I would definitely recommend Jarrod and SunGlow. I've already schedule an estimate from SunGlow for an electrical project. read more

When we decided it was time to replace our air conditioner and furnace, we didn't take it lightly. It's a very expensive undertaking and we did a lot of research as well as getting 3 estimates before finally choosing SunGlow. We chose them based on brand (Carrier), price, and Google/yelp reviews. Good things: - Pleasant customer service people - Carrier equipment - We have a functional furnace and air conditioner after a 4 month process Overall experience: - Inexperienced installation technicians (installed the furnace backwards and the air conditioner sideways initially). - Unprofessional installation technicians: the main supervisor (Diego) actually left our house and slammed the door while we had a conversation with one of the other technicians because we asked him to stop interrupting. - Lack of communication between departments (installers arrived not knowing we had two zones and without a second thermostat). - Lack of knowledge about the equipment (only the manager knew how to work the thermostat) - Poor brand representation: we only saw one truck that actually had the company logo - the others had different company names. Even their uniforms often didn't match the company name. - 7 days without air conditioning during the hottest part of the summer due to poor installation and lack of understanding (on the installer's part) about the increased electrical needs of the new unit. - Did not believe and argued with our concerns: the upstairs thermostat read 5 degrees off from 3 other thermometers in the same room next to the thermostat. We were treated like we didn't know what we were talking about and had unreasonable expectations. - Lied about damaged equipment: we pointed out our new air conditioner had a dent, and we were assured it was only on the surface/cosmetic, but they would replace the panel. When replacing that panel (months later), we had to point out the damage to the metal under the dented area. They did end up replacing the entire unit once we insisted upon it. - Promised extra services not fulfilled: the company they subcontracted with for duct cleaning was unable to go up/down stairs, so they only cleaned the main floor. We were told we wouldn't be charged for this, but had to call and have the charge removed when the final bill was received. - 3 failed inspections: inspectors mentioned the work was low quality, they had never heard of the company, and were surprised at the level of the work. - Emergency services: after one of the many full days of fixes and repairs, the technicians forgot to plug the thermostat back in and we had to have a technician on emergency call come out to fix it so we could use the equipment - Luckily my spouse works from home, because there were 10+ days in the 4 month period we had to be home for installation, repairs, corrections, and inspections. According to our contract, we are not supposed to write a negative review without first speaking to the owner (David). I requested to speak to the owner twice: once I got called back by Tristan (the installation manager), and the second time I got Chris. I told Chris I was going to write an unfavorable review and he said contact with him would suffice as he normally handles these concerns on the owner's behalf. read more

I have written a review for Sun Glow before, but I want to reiterate how dependable and efficient they are. Some companies may slow down after a time, but we continue to have excellent service after more than 25 years. We had our original furnace installed in 1998, and had it replaced in 2019. We also had air conditioning added, and installed a heat exchange unit in our ADU. We just had our 2025 winter maintenance check and everything is ready for the next 6 months of winter storms. read more
