Lunch is better than breakfast. We had a credit for $15 per day per person through my companion's Diamond status. We had breakfast and lunch there everyday of our stay. Pro tips for breakfast- order the Hawaiian local fresh eggs. If you want, order it over rice and bacon. It tastes like a broke person's fried rice as they give you soy sauce on the side. Pro tip for lunch- I ordered the famous bbq ribs and they were very good. Nice and tender. I wish they came with a side of sauce. Tacos were good but mediocre. It's hard because I'm from CA, IYKYK. They always forgot about the 15% discount for Hilton Diamond members (only applies to the non-asterisked items). Tables are always clean and service was usually good. Every time I pass by, dinner seems to be busy. I would say breakfast and lunch are pretty quiet.

So disappointed in our second experience here. Sherry, the regular bartender is rude, unprofessional, and not efficient at all. We sat at the bar and without acknowledging us, simply stated "it's going to be awhile." The bar was not crowded and it looked like she was doing her side work. Later, she was randomly telling us about a bartender that got fired and that she was a meth user and didn't need to be working here. As a patron, that is absolutely none of my business. I complemented the kid that was filling in previously, and she had nothing good to say about him - she complained about him several times while we were sitting at the bar. This situation was bad enough that I asked for the email for the general manager to write to them.

Happiest hour in Waikiki

Nice pau Hana (happy hour) but not too many options for vegetarians or those who don't eat much meat. Would love a few more seafood options too. Sat at the bar and our bartenders were excellent. Nice HH beer, wine and cocktails and maitais were a steal at $6 each. Clean, buzzing place right on Kuhio but just enough off the beaten path to feel a little local vibe.

We made reservations for Valentines day with another couple. The service was good, but the food is overpriced foe the quality. Didnt really enjoy the decor and the location of the restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be back.

Happy hour is where it's at. Prime rib tacos $10.00, half rack of fall of the bone ribs for 26.00 and 6.00 Mai Tai's. I would 100% recommend. The food is excellent and the staff is super friendly.

Half ribs $22 special

Came here during happy hour for dinner and they had some great deals! Sherry was our server and she was excellent! A lot of NY personality. She really made this an enjoyable dinner. I got the prime rib tacos and although small, they were tasty! I also got their truffle mashed potatoes which was also delicious! They also had baby back rib deals. A half rack was $22. We noticed other tables ordering this as well. It came with fries and some slaw. The ribs were excellent! They had some great drink specials as well, $7-8 beers. $10 cocktails. I would definitely come back here. Also, don't be afraid to speak up and request a table in the front and next to a window! When we initially walked in they tried to sit us in the back of the restaurant! No view or anything!

Pineapple mimosa, margarita & Truffle Bruschetta
taylor s.

Stumbled upon this place for the happy hour. We started with the pineapple mimosa and margarita which were both very tasty. We then had the mai tai (our favorite) and a glass of the Cabernet. As an appetizer we shared the truffle bruschetta off the dinner menu. If you don't like mushrooms, you will NOT like this dish as it's all mushrooms. For $13, I don't think it's worth it for the amount you get. Lastly, my friend and I each had a taco off the happy hour special menu. The tacos were extremely basic with very little meat on them. I honestly think Taco Bell makes better tacos. Overall, the ambiance and service was great but I would recommend just sticking to the drinks at least for happy hour.

My husband took me here for the first time and we had such a great time. Our waitress.. I wish I remembered her name was amazing! She was soo sweet and kept complimenting on how my husband and I were her "goals" in life. She recommended on what to try and she was def right! We loved everything. The ambiance was perfect for our date night! We will def be going again!

Arugula prosciutto salad

Did you know they now have paella? I was curious to try their new offerings so off we went! They also have great happy hour options too. We got: - a glass of red wine (they have a great deal on bottles at HH) - a glass of sangria - always a hit - arugula and prosciutto salad - know that it's literally those 2 ingredients plus parmesan and a delicious light dressing - their famous ribs - next time I'll ask for less sauce but omg is was so tender and falling off the bone - squid ink paella - what a unique offering and so flavorful! It had little tempura-ed shrimp on top too! - their famous smoky prime rib - it's like a show with the food, cooked medium rare like I wanted it, and such good flavors. The meat was a bit fattier than I wanted but I'd still get it! Overall, recommend, go before 6pm for the happy hour bonuses! This is part of my places to visit in Waikiki Youtube video!

Service and food was amazingly great! We ordered the focaccia bread, ceasar salad, ribeye steak and manager's dessert special. Everything was delicious forgot to take pic of the bread and salad.

Had an early big dim sum brunch late morning, picked up some souvenirs from Big Island Candies at Ala Moana, shopped the stores, got hungry, decided to try Fire Grill's Happy Hour eats. Their HH is from 3-6, quite an extensive HH menu. The day we were there, there was a 'special' on their pork ribs for $24 We shared beef bone marrow(2pcsof bones+2 pcs of French bread), crab stuffed mushrooms and octopus bourgignon. We asked for more bread and staff said $6, came on a plate with 2 pcs! Anyhow, all dishes are good and tasty, came out piping hot. Will come again next time to try their ribs.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, intimate, and welcoming. There's something special about enjoying a thoughtfully crafted cocktail surrounded by books, vintage décor, and a neighborhood vibe that feels completely different from the typical bar scene. Everyone from the host to the servers, treat you like you are a VIP... What I appreciated most was how relaxed everything felt. It wasn't overly crowded or loud, making it easy to have a conversation and actually enjoy the experience. The cocktails were well-balanced, creative, and clearly made with care. This is the kind of place that's perfect for a date night, catching up with friends, or simply unwinding after a long week. It feels like one of those hidden gems that locals hope stays under the radar, but is too good not to share. If you're looking for something unique and a little different from the usual nightlife options, I highly recommend checking it out. I'll definitely be back.

I was a little surprised when I entered, it's very cute and it looks like a book shop. The hostess walked us through into the hidden bar and then into the hidden restaurant. The ambiance is very vintage LOL. We ordered a bunch of items off the menu because we observed the food coming out for other tables and the portions looked small. And honestly, they are small for the price you pay. They all tasted amazing, but it didn't blow me away enough for me to say I'd go back for the brunch. The service was also subpar because they barely checked in on us and we had to wait the longest time to get a water refill. I may go back to try the dinner and maybe the drinks and hopefully it will be better.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. It's something spritz, and my husband tried the banana bread old fashioned) and we shared the appetizer platter (brussel sprouts with pork belly, kalua pork egg rolls, poke tacos, and edamame)to share. I mentioned that it was just a general question and i wasn't coming that night. They informed me that it's validated for two hours and it's first come first serve. After the 2 hours its $14 an hour. Getting into the valet area was stressful enough as there was a car parked right before you turn and pedestrians that walk back and forth from their main driveway entrance. I also had to wait for valet for a bit too as there was 2 other cars in front of me and probably only 2 valet on duty trying to move cars forward. Reservations can be made on open table, but there was really no point to doing that since it's open seating during happy hour times. We ended up just picking a table that was in the shade, and noticed they only have their menu by QR code which is kinda annoying. The server was pretty nice tho and he brought my dog some water mid way. Their happy hour runs from 2-6 and the menu is slightly less expensive. The food was kind of standard hotel type of food and nothing really stood out. Otherwise the vibes at the restaurant was nice and i do like that they allow dogs to join you. it seems like they have live music after a certain time. I was even more annoyed and stressed with the valet when i went to pick up my car. They literally just handed me my keys. My car was parked along the wall probably 20 steps away, but they could have at least taken out my car cause it was so hard to get out, but i guess it's nice they trust that i wont bang the car in front of back of me i guess even tho im a pretty terrible parker. at the time they didn't look as busy as when i first arrived, so i dont know why they couldn't have just done the bare minimum with just pulling out my car from the stall.
