The upstairs view is phenomenal. A perfect place to watch the ocean and people from above. The fish tacos were amazing. The wavy burger was pretty damn good too. This is the second time visiting. We would definitely come back.

I sat at the bar area to grab a couple of drinks and was greeting by a very nice woman who proceeded to help me with my drink. I had mentioned that I never tried Hawaiian whiskey and she offered me a shot to taste it which was incredible!! Absolutely made me move forward with ordering the drink I got which was the Ohh Bae and my god was it good!! Next time I think I'll be getting an extra shot or two in it but otherwise delicious and looked cool too!

Standard Hotel. Nothing great except the view over Waikiki Beach. The tortilla chips and salsa were actually pretty good (I had them by the pool), but when the chips were used in the Nachos (with cheese, salsa, etc.) they didn't hold up. Drinks were okay - not weak but pretty generic. They do know how to cook an Impossible Burger!

Boy, where do I start? Service was about as slow and inattentive as possible. It took ten minutes to get the two glasses of wine we ordered which came in plastic cups. The food was awful. My fish and chips were as bland as I've ever had. The fried rice with it was as greasy as you can possibly make. My wife's fish tacos were sloppily placed so it was almost impossible to pick up. The only reason I didn't give it a one star is the ambiance based on the sunset we saw from the deck of the restaurant. Last place I'd go for dinner.

Crappy poor bowl with black avocados. Yuck. Super sugary drink too. Not worth it on either item.

This place is meh at best. The poke was not great -- they served me avocados that were both hard and blackened -- somehow both unripe and too ripe at the same time. Yuck! Inedible. The actual ahi poke in the bowl was ok but the bowl is $24 and didn't feel worth it at all. The lychee drink was too sweet and yet also bitter. Tasted like college jungle juice. If you just wanna drink poolside this place is fine. Decent service at the bar but not at the tables. But if you want a nice meal and drink, venture elsewhere.

The menu wasn't very appealing. We walked into the hotel looking for the sushi that was advertised on the side of the building. We were told it was no longer there, and I had a starving teen, so we just ate there. The view was good, as it is right across the street from the beach. The food was mid. For the price there are better places to eat. Being a tourist is tough sometimes because you have to find something in walking distance from where you are staying.

Our server, Ryan, thinks he's a bad ass taking orders without writing them down. With that, of course, comes with forgetting to put people's orders in. So everyone in my party got and finished their food before the waiter comes and checks on us - at which time I tell him that I still haven't received my food. Then he goes to the kitchen and comes back with some lame story that he tripped and dropped my burger...so they are making a new one. Wtf...don't lie to me. I should mention, the waiter doesn't even bring food out - there is a person delivering the food in a warming cart, so it's pretty clear that my order never made it to the kitchen. Ok, as far as the food and drinks go - just ok - nothing special. $15 cocktails served in small plastic cups. The view is great. Needless to say, the service is atrocious!

Queensbreaks was a quick lunch stop for my girlfriend and I. We were able to be seated pretty fast. The food was more on the bland side. The service was also pretty mediocre. Something I observed was there were also a lot of flies in the restaurant which wasn't very pleasant.

This is a good place to hangout at in the evenings- live music; fire pits going ; able to order food and drinks. We got to witness a proposal here the other night ; which was pretty cool. We ordered the pork tacos - they were piled high with meat; and had good flavor. They were one of our favorite pork items we have had here so far. If you stay at the hotel you can just charge your room if they have your card on file.

Stopped in by for dinner about a month ago with family during our vacation. We had a party of 9. They were able to seat us not waiting that long. It was a somewhat busy night, service was a bit slow that evening, but staff was very nice and helpful when they got to us though. Thanks to our server. I had a lobster roll with a pina colada. The lobster roll was flavorful and delicious. They pina colada was refreshing after a hot day.

Some of the best food we had in Waikiki, and we ate it half naked! We tried the fish tacos, nachoes with pulled pork, beef dip and of course many drinks. The fish tacos were amazing, locally caught marlin, great tortillas and fresh salsa. The beef dip is one of the best I've had anywhere, not just in Honalulu but anywhere. The beef wasn't soggy, it has a little crisp to it and the mayo ratio was perfect. The nachos were also great but you have to order them with the pulled pork, so tender and flavorful because they take it from last night's luau! Service was mostly great but when it gets busy sometimes it's hard to find a server so come early. If you get Ken your in for a treat, not only does he know all the best food in town but he is fast and friendly. And lay but not least the atmosphere... I don't even need to say anything because this place is paradise.

First and foremost, the Queensbreak sits right above waikiki beach. It's amazing. Lunch or dinner both were great. The nachos with Kalua pork were so tasty. The 12 hour roast prime rib practically melted in the mouth. The menu is limited, but I haven't ordered anything that wasn't an A plus.

She made reservations for us, which is recommended. You check in on the first floor and are then escorted into the speakeasy. I won't share much more, as one should experience it themselves. But the ambiance is dim, semi-private, on-theme, and cozy yet lively. There's a bar area as well as the dining area where we sat. Service was fine. We were checked on periodically, but the food did take quite some time to come out. We shared some pupus, off their happy hour menu. We got the Smashed Cucumbers, House Karaage, and Sinigang Fries. The cucumbers weren't spicy, even though they were listed as spicy. It was more oily, but still crisp and refreshing. The fries were perfect for snacking on, with a nice sour-savory flavor from the sinigang. The karaage was extremely big! Not too crispy like usual, but still meaty. We also asked for six, but only received five pieces. My friend got the Lamb Ribs as well, which fell off the bone, and she seemed to enjoy them. My other friend and I shared the Ulu Taco Flight. We chose Suadero, Pork Belly, and Seafood as our protein. I enjoyed the seafood; it was lobster. It was sweet and mild but nicely cooked. The aioli was a nice addition. The pork belly was fine; it was quite spicy, which was a bit overpowering. My friend who had the beef taco said the wagyu was great but also quite spicy. The tacos themselves were quite small for the price. Overall, if you're into speakeasies or curious, Vintage Books is worth a visit at least once. The food is creative, and the drinks are good. Glad I could come and hang out with my friends. Find them on the ground floor. Parking is validated in the building; give your ticket to the host.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick.
