We drove all the way up from Chicago to Wisconsin for the fish boil only to find out that it didn't even start till 4:00 and it was 2:30. We were not able to wait,so I ended up with an Italian Beef sandwich. It was a decent sandwich, but it wasn't what I had wanted. There is no worse feeling than having your mind set on something and not be able to get it. Well, I guess there are worse things, but it sure was disappointing. One of the best restaurants next to my hometown, I absolutely love this place. I've been here 15+ times and love bringing new people here or referring people to try the Fire Pitt when they ask about a local fish places or a fish boil. Unique to the area since they honor the Door County fish boil tradition. Amazing food, good prices, and great staff. I have the fish boil every time I come here, the fish, chicken, and ribs are all amazing. It's great that you can also go out back and watch the fish, potatoes, and onions being cooked on the literal fire pit. The system here is super efficient for quick service. The staff are always very friendly and engaging. They also always provide great service, I have never felt like I have waited too long to be seen by a server or for a refill on a drink. They also create many seasonal drinks including martinis, fish bowls, moscow mules, etc. If you do the fish boil (or fish/chicken, fish/chicken/ribs) you just receive a ticket to take to the all you can eat buffet. They rip the ticket in half at the buffet and serve you the protein that you choose, potatoes and onions, coleslaw, bread, and someone will offer to ladle butter on your fish. They have parsley and lemons available as well at the end of the buffet. You cannot beat the quality of food and price for an all you can eat place. When you eat here you can tell the food is all home cooked, everything is delicious. With the buffet, there is a dessert cart which features pie squares from a local bakery. The choices are apple and cherry, they are almost similar to a danish and are absolutely delicious. You can take your half of ticket back up to the buffet as many times as you want as it is all you can eat. I have also tried other menu items here during other events and everything has been good. The Fire Pitt is very versatile and often hosts many different events during the week days. I tried the pizza before while attending a wine and paint event. The pizza was very good as well. Overall, this is a great low-maintenance bar and restaurant with simple delicious food. It is great for large groups or just dinner for two. I would recommend to anyone to go for the fish boil offered Thursday- Sunday or to look into the many events and theme nights they offer during the week. read more

A friend recommended the Fire Pitt for Friday Fish Boil. I thought she meant fish fry because that is the norm around here. But much to my surprise they actually do a fish boil, just like Door County! We were going to sit in the dining room, but it seemed pretty noisy, so we opted to sit in the bar area. Our server got our drinks quickly and explained how the all you can eat fish boil worked...buffet style and you can add barbecue chicken and ribs for an extra charge with the fish boil. We added the chicken and ribs to our meals and off we went to the buffet...we were greeted by two young ladies who dished up our dinner for us and headed back to our table. I have to say, it was delicious, the fish and potatoes were as good as I remember having in Door County. Loved the Cole slaw. The chicken and ribs were fall off the bone tender and the bbq sauce was yummo! Neither of us had room for a second helping. Our server boxed up our pie, which was included with the meal. We left very satisfied with our dessert for later and pleasantly full tummies. We are so happy to have checked this place out. Initially I stopped here under the impression that I was going to get BBQ. You see, I was craving brisket. But nope... The kids and I sat out back. I was kind of weary of our choice whn I noticed we were the only customers. Even though it was a weekday night, still felt weird. Once I got the menu I was even more lt down to notice such a small selection. I wanted to leave but decided to stay because how hungry we were. I ordered the beef which came with fries and slaw. Daughter had the mac and cheese which came with fries and applesauce. Atlas...I have found a place near antioch that has the BEST italian beef. No joke. It was delicious. Ordered the wings and potato skins. Let me tell you what, I haven't had food that over cooked and covered in grease since my college roommate tried to cook for the first time with his new deep fryer. To add salt on the wound 12 wings were $16.00 and the garlic parmesan flavor I ordered looked like someone measured out 1/2 teaspoon of the seasoning and dropped it on the plate amount my 12 hockey pucks. I still tipped well because service was good and it's not the waitresses fault the kitchen serves greasy dog food. I will never come back! read more

This is an absolute hidden gem!! Went Friday night and enjoyed it so much we went back Saturday. Friday I had the fish boil and ribs. It was definitely "poor mans lobster". It really did taste like lobster. The potatoes and pearl onions were tender and perfect and the homemade cole slaw was some of the best we ever tasted. My wife had a burger and loved it. After tasting my cod Friday, it was easy to come back Saturday. Needless to say she ordered the fish on Saturday. It's a great low carb option too. You don't feel sluggish after feasting like kings and queens. The Food really was perfect. Tracey was out server both nights by request on Saturday because she was the star. Very cool place! What you do is you pay $19.99 for the unlimited everything. You get boiled cod, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, rye bread, and dessert. The food is all pretty good, fish definitely needs butter and lemon. For drinks, they also have some pretty cool fishbowl cocktails. A fun drink to have but next time I will probably ask for one or two shots added in. It's a great place to go to for something different. Time to roll home! Just watch that first step out the door, it's a doozy! At first glance of the menu, my wife was disappointed. She didn't want the fish,chicken, or rib dinner. The rest of the menu looks small, and she thought it was going to be average bar food. She was wrong. They even had 2 great soups to choose from. Both were her favorites. She also loved the wings and the egg roll mozz sticks. I had the fish. It was great! My wife tried it and actually liked it. She never eats fish. She refuses to eat fish. We've driven past it a bunch since we live near by since it opened but haven't had time. After a few reccomendations from family members recently we finally made time. Excellent fish boil. I've had some great ones and I've had some bad ones over the years and really liked this one. There really aren't many restaurants in the area that haven't let us down always feeling like we had to drive into Kenosha or Gurnee to get anything decent, this one certainly didn't let down however. The fish boil was standard fare (with red potatoes, onions, slaw & rye) and was very tasty. The fish wasn't over or under cooked and had a very good flavor to it. Wife had a burger with pepper jack and for once it was cooked to the temp she ordered at as it seems like every time we go out lately no matter how she asks it ends up undercooked (though i like medium rare, she prefers medium well). She also liked the french fries (they put some sort of dry bbq rub on them). The staff was very friendly, chatty & made sure we were happy with everything. We will be back again! read more

This restaurant is really well staffed and has great entertainment. The food is delicious and is a very clean place.

Have been to this place many times over the last 4 years, however, our last visit just was not good. Service was no where to be had, bartender was spending all her time with taking out carry out orders instead of making drinks. At first I was surprised that we could even get a seat at the bar on a Friday night, and only 2 tables seated in the dining room, but then after waiting and waiting for service, we understood why. It is a shame, it was such a great place before Covid, they previously had excellent italian beef, and a super bartender named Shelby who greated everyone with an amazing smile that she made you feel so welcome you did not want to leave. I have to say that I must have said OMG at least a half a dozen times. Big props to the guy that was out in 1 degree weather at the fire pit at 8pm.... Well.... I had their BBQ chicken which I have NEVER had better! The skin was crisp and had a nice char on it while the meat was moist and tender. Did I mention that I got the breast pieces? The driest part of the chicken...and it was MOIST! Delicious sauce, which they had brought all 3 to the table for us (Rootbeer BBQ, Raspberry BBQ and Fire Pit BBQ) and al were great! I also very much enjoyed the boiled potatoes and onions. My husband had the Pulled Pork burger which he absolutely loved! He couldn't decide which he liked better....their fries or the sandwich. I tried the fries and they are seasoned and the very thin fries...just amazing. He also ordered the boneless wings that he enjoyed as well. With all this one might wonder why I rated it a 4 instead of 5. Well even though our server took very good care of us in the beginning and middle. She didn't check on us for quite a while and we both had empty drink glasses. We found her sitting at another table (customer's table) looking through some pictures. We found the soda machine and filled our own drink. That is a pet peeve of mine....don't leave drinks empty....not for that long. Don't get me wrong...that's not going to stop us from going back. We checked this place out last Thursday since we drive by all the time. Our waitress was amazing. She was helpful and prompt. The fishbowl I had was AWESOME! Well worth the ten bucks for the size. When you come here you have to get the AYCE fish boil. It's amazing. You can do fish boil, chicken dinner or triple combo of fish, chicken and ribs. I would recommend the combo. Second time here. First was the fish boil. Price was ok but I've had better food and service elsewhere. Set up and presentation was very lacking. Tonight was the "Mexican buffet". Over cooked meat, nasty so called Mexican rice, all the toppings and entrees were scarce even though there was an hour left to go. Waitress said they wouldn't be replenishing. Forgive me but if there is an hour left on the buffet there should still be plenty to choose from since we paid the same price. Buffet area was very dirty. Waitress never came back to see if we needed more to drink. I honestly can make better food at home. Won't be going back. Ever. read more
