Absolutely loved our last minute find at Uptowner Pub and Patio! We stumbled across this cozy, cabin-like gem (with the help of the Yelp app of course) while visiting family in town. Honestly, the only thing I regret is not finding it sooner in the day. We had mediocre drinks and food at restaurant nearby and needed to cleanse our palettes with quality beer. Uptowner is a bit tucked away down a driveway with another building in front, but it's worth seeking out! There's a small parking lot to the right of the patio, which was super convenient for us. As soon as we walked up, we felt welcomed by the warm, all-wood cabin vibes and the friendly presence of a couple of locals hanging out on the outdoor patio. The wraparound bar inside is gorgeous, and their tap list blew me away. Over 20 options, including ciders and sours! If beer isn't your thing, they also offer soju cocktails, plus cans and cool specialty drinks in glass bottles to-go. Their restrooms are single occupancy and located behind saloon-style swinging doors, such a fun touch! Everything was super clean and well-maintained. I want to highlight something I noticed in other reviews: Steve, the owner, absolutely does NOT deserve the negative feedback. Yes, he might come across as a bit stern at first, but he's really customer-focused and easy to talk to. Maybe on a busy night, things get hectic, but we chatted with him about the bar's history and surviving COVID. He was welcoming and gracious, and even let us finish our drinks in peace at closing. He made us feel genuinely valued. Can't wait to come back, and we're already planning a trip just for Uptowner. Thank you, Steve, for a memorable evening in a truly unique spot! Husband and I went and felt really unwelcome, and people were starring at us. Not sure if it was because we were a mixed-couple (Mexican and White). Owner was rude and started 'yelling' at the hostess about forgetting to put a beer on the tab, which we told her she forgot. He said outright to everyone "don't worry about. It will come off her check." Highly political too with signs occasionally - so if you want with the owner's political views, you're not welcome clearly. Fantastic new spot right at the top of old Town Yucaipa. It's down this long driveway and has a patio and a cool thing called dog parking where they have leaseholders on an outside wall. The whole thing is covered in trees and behind the old lady that makes chocolates house. Once you get inside it's a very modern brand new bar with several rotating taps of Craft beer. They serve appetizers which I did not try but other people in my group had been in there before and said they are fantastic. This is my new favorite spot in Yucaipa. read more

The best beer bar in the IE. Great place to hang with other locals and have a beer or two or more. We had the tacos and burrito and they were great. The staff, Ryan and Mo know their beer and are very personable. And the owner, Steve has a real zest for life and an unlimited supply of black tee shirts. Amazing. If you catch him smiling....go buy a lotto ticket fast. All kidding aside, this is our (wife and I) favorite place. We enjoy the ambiance, the people we meet, talking to Ryan, Mo and Steve and the great food and beer. All for under $50-60. Not bad for a date night! Their menu is perfect for this type of place. I had a Michelada ( was really tasty) & some beef tacos....the corn tortilla was Perrrf!! Everything tasted yummy including my taters with ranch! Owner was not the most welcoming when we stopped in. Definitely had no problem being rude to the group I was with. But was also quite rude to his server who was attentive and seemed to be keeping busy anywhere he wasn't. You could tell the bathrooms had not been cleaned in a while and definitely had not been restocked either. I will say there are quite a few taps but most all were IPAs or DIPAs. Only 3 or 4 on tape that were of other styles. IPAs have been the "go to" beer for most, so it's possible these are requests from regulars. All around we thought this place was a great location, but the owner and beer selection killed it for us nonIPA enthusiast. read more

Horrible customer service. First time there I ordered two food items and after 90 mins only received one of them. Then asked for the bill and they charged me for both. I brought it to their attention and they said the fixed it and refunded me. Checked my bank statement and they never did.
