The place was all women except the two of us once the early bird families were done. Service was attentive. They have vegetarian options, which I took advantage of with a burger. It was crowded. This is a beautiful restaurant with a menu that should please nearly everyone. We enjoyed the bar area and watched football on tv. Detox salad is amazing, and the salmon topper was seasoned perfectly (unfortunately, it was a bit overcooked--may want to specify cooking level to the server). I never leave reviews but had such a great experience here, i had to post to support this local newcomer! We dined with our toddler and newborn in the family dining area. Not only did the kids room occupy our almost 2 year old while we could enjoy our dinner while still keep an eye on her, but the food and drinks were SO good!!!! Greek chicken bowl (on specials) was so delicious and flavorful. And generous portions so I made two meals out of it. Cocktails were fun and tasty. Service was attentive and, most importantly with two babies, FAST! And dessert omg - strawberry shortcake was to die for. Heaven. Finally some elevated but family friendly dining in Glenview. This is by far the noisiest restaurant I have ever been in. We had dinner with another couple and we literally had to read lips. The "adult dining room" of the restaurant was about 80% full and at most of the tables people were literally shouting. Oddly, the restaurant also offers a "family dining room" where families with children are meant to be sat, but it was mostly empty when we left--I can't speak for earlier because side I hadn't seen it then--and blessedly quiet. The family room does have an arcade game and a TV set to YouTube, so I can imagine it gets loud at times. Anyway, our ears were throbbing when we left. And the food? So-so. My chicken and vegetable stir-fry was tasty but my husband's chicken sandwich was lackluster. Service was fine. I would not recommend this place until they take measures to decrease the sound levels. I'm very impressed with the restaurant. I'n always looking for a new restaurant. We walked in at 5:30 and there was only one table available. One of the best features is the kid friendliness. They have a game room for kids that is good for young and older kids. They brought a bib for my grandson too, very smart feature. Really good smash burger, salads were good size and fresh. Finally made it there tonight. I was awed and amazed with the transformation of this place. It's gorgeous!! The food, OMG, lobster rolls were totally amazing and succulent. The chipotle taco salad is fantastic. And the dessert, bread pudding, WOW!! Victor, my bartender was very nice and accommodating. Jamie is so friendly and you can tell she LOVES what she does. Beautiful restaurant with a fabulous ambiance. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into the details from the decor to the plates and silverware. Always love to see a mocktail menu. Cocktails looked excellent too. We had the saganaki bites and lobster roll sliders as appetizers. We got the Philly cheesesteak flatbread (the croissant crust was amazing!) and the hot honey salmon with brussel sprouts and brown butter potatoes. We had a wonderful experience here. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the chicken Kiev meatballs for an appetizer. My husband had the short rib and I had the lobster pasta. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive to our needs despite it being busy. The owner/proprietor Jamie came over say hello and check on us. The drinks were fantastic including the esperesso martini. We had the bread pudding for dessert and it was some of the best we ever had. Great crowd, atmosphere and vibe. I was here last night with a group of 14. We were warmly greeted by the owner/chef. She took the time to say greet everyone and checked in on us throughout the evening. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Flatbread (I tend to play it safe on my first visit) along with a glass of Reisling. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. My only complaint was it was a little pricey, especially the wine. That won't stop me from going back. The attentive service made it worthwhile. BRAVO read more

My family and I have been here a few times for dinner and they have consistently been delicious. The food comes out quick and hot. My kids absolutely love the char-kid-erie board. Fire Thyme really cater to young families. There is an area of the restaurant for kids to play and they also have TVs if families want to watch anything kid friendly. So many good things to say about Fire Thyme! The food was delicious. We had the Greek F-Bombs which were crispy on the outside and so gooey and creamy on the inside. Highly recommend! I had the Greek chicken sandwich with the brown butter potatoes as my upgraded side. I enjoyed both very much. My friend had the mac and cheese. It's a huge portion! She loved it and of course I had to have a forkful for research purposes. The Oreo cake and bread pudding topped off our meal and did not disappoint! The place is warm, cozy and beautifully decorated. Finally, the chef/owner stopped at our table and made sure we were enjoying our visit. She was delightful! I can't wait to go back. We visited Fire & Thyme on its 10th day since opening. The newly remodeled space is stunning and includes two dining rooms - one in the bar area for adults and older kids and another that has a game room for families. The chef owner, Jamie, introduced herself and chatted a while as she made the rounds to every table. So personable and great to see a talented and accomplished chef choose to open her first restaurant in the area where she grew up. FANTASTIC, in all areas, from one who goes to many many restaurants, I must say from the Owner, Jamie, who greeted us and was so pleasant and anxious for us to be happy and enjoy our time in her restaurant. The Food was a 10+ the ambiance was a 10+ the service was a 10+ it was great. It took me a while to decide to make the effort as we could not get in on the weekend so I thought let's go during the week and sure enough we were able to secure a reservation and it was packed. I can't tell you the last time I enjoyed a meal more than at Fire Thyme please don't miss this wonderful experience and best food in a long time.
