DELICIOUS! The food was amazing and the ambiance was welcoming. If you like to eat with music playing, this is the spot. They played all the new hits with a few throwback to switch the mood. Been to fire up several times now. Every time was fire. Eric was my server dang if I didn't buy candy shots off him and I never drink mixed drinks. Tacos and beer and tequila . That's a good time. Went for Sunday Brunch and was not disappointed!! I had the Juana la Cubana cocktail and it was amazing we also had shots of Mexican Candy and they were delicious. The tacos gobernador were such a good choice. Our Server Eric was great extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The music was on point throughout and our drinks and food came out almost immediately. I was very impressed with the service. Definitely go here for good drinks and good service!!! The only downside was their Security/Host he was extremely rude to my friend and myself I understand they deal with a lot but his attitude was uncalled for and just unnecessary. My favorite spot to take friends to. The music is loud to match the flavors here! The micheladas here are HUGE and can come with a shrimp rim and Mexican candy. I think my favorite thing to order here is the seafood platter, the gobernador tacos (shrimp and cheese) and the fideo (when a certain chef is here- he likes to make it). I got the ceviche tower last time I was here and it's so big I had to take leftovers home with me and eat it the next day. This was my first time going here since moving to Riverside and it was a decent experience. The food was good. I ordered two chipotle carnitas tacos with elote on the side and a watermelon drink. The tacos were good, the elote was nothing out of the ordinary, but the watermelon drink was very refreshing and delicious. I'm giving four stars because the service was slow. Don't get me wrong our server was very friendly, but he didn't really check up on our table. Also, there were lots of flies because of the outdoor seating and the music was very loud. However they messed up my eggs with should be a no brainer and so simple to get right, I ordered over medium and got over hard, one of the yokes was popped and really hard. Came in around 8pm last night, overall some of the food was good, some was not. My boyfriend had the birria quesadilla and said the birria tasted like tap water. I had the enchilada and chicken taco combo. I liked the enchilada, but the crispy chicken taco was soo plain and unseasoned. The chicken had no seasoning, and the only things they put in the taco were chicken, cheese, and mixed greens lettuce. We liked the beans. Our server was also very, very slow, even though she only had 2 tables. She was nice, but we saw her on her phone by the kitchen while we waited for our check. The food also took about 30 minutes, and again the restaurant was not at all busy. Also, the chairs were super uncomfortable, they should really get chairs that have back support on them instead of just bar stools. read more

I do not recommend this place due to unfriendly service, long wait time, food is alright. The drinks and the music is the main attraction however the service from some staff members was unacceptable. There was preferred treatment to customers that were either regulars or customers that knew employees or owner. People were being seated before our party. I would of like to just be treated with fairly as a paying customer. I did not see or hear servers providing time limits for other customers and we were being told the time we had left while the others weren't. I loved this place when they first opened but they've gone downhill since then. Service took forever to take our order. Then never really checked in. Got two out of three of our orders wrong. Our orders took like 30 minutes to come out. The food was surprisingly bland. The guacamole was clearly store bought not fresh and tasted bitter, pretty much inedible. The tortillas were stale. Not really much redeeming regarding service and food. They still make good drinks here and the location is great. If all you want is drinks on the patio and you have plenty of time to wait for service then you're good. Otherwise avoid. read more
