Went to fire wings during elite events. My first visit to fire wings. The chicken wings is dry, some are overcooked. The sauces are okay. The service is quick, maybe too quick.

Big thanks to Michael for hosting this Yelp Elite event!! Fire Wings did not disappoint. The wings were a great size. Nice, meaty and packed with flavor. I tried the Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper, and both were delicious in their own way. The service was great. The person who took my order was friendly. The place itself is nice, quiet, and clean. Even the bathroom was clean, which is always a plus. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

Honest follow up review: 4.5/5 but we'll round them up to a 5 stars! Wanted to bring back the 5 stars to the company that makes some pretty great food! It is a little expensive for the experience, but the flavor makes up for it! Let's dive into it! -10 piece wing combo w/chili cheese fries: 4.5/5 Flavors I chose were curry and garlic parm. My honest review on them is that they're okay, very well done on the flavor as well as the cooking of the wings and quality of the wings that I got, however the oil tasted a little over used, it however pairs deliciously with that ranch they have! Absolute great experience but would recommend the only thing be the oil used to be cleaner. Add the chili cheese fries to the mix, you can't go wrong with some chili cheese fries; but it was a very ball park chili cheese fries experience, which if you like it. Awesome! If not; then this is not for you. -BBQ fries: 5/5 (the go to) If you're coming in for this you won't be upset! This is the game changing winner in so many aspects. Read the first review I made for these. It didn't and it won't disappoint. Just following up the second review to say yes. It's delicious!

Grabbed some wings and fries at Fire Wings and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I ordered BBQ Chipotle and buffalo wings with seasoned fries and they were some of the best I've had in Reno. The BBQ Chipotle was both sweet and spicy and the buffalo was a little more flavorful than the standard. One unexpected attribute was how crispy the wings are cooked as they almost neared the line of being overcooked but we're just right and extra good with the sauces. Although ironically, the seasoned fries almost stole the show as they were cooked and seasoned to perfection with no disrespect to the wings. The staff was also very patient and kind. Overall, a very conveniently located being next to the theater and solid place to get wings and fries at good value. Given how often we go to the movies we will definitely be back for more!

Fire Wings is easy to find right next door to the theater in the Summit .. the facility is spotlessly clean and the staff is over the top friendly .. they serve both bone in and boneless wings. Also offered at least 8 different sauces to make the wings any way you like. There is a self-service soft drink machine for your convenience. Prices are moderate, but competitive. Locally owned and definitely worth giving them a try.

Bottom line: Overpriced, bland chicken. Sauce is not spicy as advertised. Not a total disaster, but disappointing enough that I don't recommend this place. After a long day on the road, I just wanted a hot meal and relax.. We were staying at the Hyatt Place, and Fire Wings was within walking distance. I was greeted by a nice cashier and ordered a 3 piece chicken strip combo with fries and ranch. For my drink, I just got cold water. I wanted whatever was the spiciest sauce on the tenders, which was their "fire wing" sauce. My order was to-go, so I could eat in our room back the Hyatt Place. I felt like it took longer than expected for my food. It was far from busy too.. kinda dull atmosphere inside and just quiet. I grabbed a plastic fork and some napkins. Once my food was given to me, I asked for a plastic knife since I didn't see any by the fountain machine. I was told they don't have knives.. so a lack of basic utensils... which was disappointing because I wanted to cut my saucy chicken and dip it into the ranch with my fork.. but whatever, I am hungry I can make do. Got to the room and started to chow down. The crinkle fries were VERY salty. Someone was a little heavy handed with the salt.. the chicken tenders were NOT fire spicy at all. It was like a mild or medium.. so that was disappointing.. chicken was not robust in flavor at all. The ranch was actually really good. Overall, I found Fire Wings to be underwhelming and overpriced for what it is.

Connor was the cashier at fire wings. Ever since we did a yelp here at fire wings in the Summit mall we have come back a few times. They have great deals on Monday and Tuesday at $.85 boneless wings you get five piece minimum and you can choose different sauces. On Wednesday they have bone in at $.95 Per Wing. These wings are not small. They are pretty big. I had trouble ordering the sauces cause I didn't know what my son wanted so he was super nice and just said take your time. No worries no stress. I love when you go to an establishment and they are like that. So five stars for fire waves. Right next to the Hyatt place in the Summit mall. So if you're at the Summit Mall and your state at the Hyatt check, fire rings out on your way to the movies during the week and on the weekends is good too. So my vote for chicken wings in Reno fire wings

    Lana S.

It's a drive out to Summit so keep that in mind if you don't live South of town. Lots of parking and the interior is large, sunlit, and comfortable. You order at the counter, get your own drinks. Take a number and they bring your order. I've had a lot of wings in my life, but these were the best I've had as long as I can remember in Reno. The service was flawless and friendly and I'd definitely go again if I'm out in South Reno

Returned as I wanted to try the peanut butter wings. They were good but didn't have much peanut butter flavor. They were mainly sweet and spicy. Nice place to stop for a quick bite after the movies.

Another great spot to grab a good bite. Ordered the teriyaki boneless with fries. Also the loaded fries. Very flavorful . The choices were plenty. . Close to theatre and convenient. Can't wait to go back. They were busy and had great service.

This was our first time dining here. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Jen took our order. She was friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of wings flavors and cooking options. You get 2 flavors and choice of fries or fresh veggies, and a fountain drink. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any sugar or sweetener for the unsweetened iced tea. had the Cali Rub and Salt and Pepper with fries. They were very tasty. All in all it was a nice experience. It's a great place for locals.

The staff James, Connor and Celine absolutely rocked our event tonight, giving us an insight on the many flavors this establishment has to offer. The restaraunt itself is very spacious and not too loud, even with everyone talking and enjoying themselves. They serve a variety of bottled beers currently, all of which are great choices to accompany chicken wings. I ordered the bone in Cali Rub, the Thai Chili fusion , as well as the Mango Habanero. The Mango Habanero was spicy, but didn't leave the lingering vinegar despair one usually gets with spicy sauce. It was delicious! My favorite flavor so far is the Peanut Butter that a friend ordered. It's like a Thai peanut sauce that is DELICIOUS!

    Buffalo wings

My 1st time at Fire Wings in the summit mall. The restaurant was clean and open.. the server was friendly. They are lots of options for everyone to choose from. I chose the classic buffalo and a Jamaican dry rub with veggies. The carrots and celery were crunchy, there wasn't any blue cheese in the dipping sauce but it still had a good flavor.... On to the wings. I chose bone in but you could also choose boneless and other options. The Buffalo wings were definitely hot but the sauce itself was only so so, no real Buffalo flavor just lots of heat, but the Jamaican jerk dry rub wings were awesome. 10 wings for $20 seems like a pretty good deal to me. The others at my table had fries and they were crispy and well seasoned. #yelpreno #yelpelite

I will say that I didn't see celery or apples, and I only saw one piece of red onion, but perhaps those things are minced very finely (or incorporated in the salad some other way?). Either way, I have no idea how such a simple looking salad tasted so complex but it was fantastic and I highly recommend ordering it. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak with some sort of French-fry. He enjoyed it but mentioned that he was surprised a place named "The CHEESE Board" had such a light layer of cheese sauce in their Philly cheesesteak sandwich. (He said he wished there was more.) The place was packed but the food was out fairly quickly considering. I will say that I wished the seating felt more spacious, inviting, and comfortable. With a full restaurant and tables so close it wasn't the most relaxing environment to dine in (a bit cafeteria like) but they are limited on dinning space it seems. I did see that they had a kids menu. A child at the table next to us got the $10 plate that included thinly sliced green apple, crackers, cheese, and a meat (salami perhaps?); the portion seemed reasonable for the price and was certainly more than one gets in a Lunchable so I made a mental note that I could see my kids finding something to enjoy here. Overall, fresh food and clean pleasant ambiance. I'm looking forward to returning as well as keeping this place in mind for a visit when I'm hosting guests from out of town that prefer salads and/or more "frou-frou" food.

It was a little light on the cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. I expected a pull of cheese when biting it but it was more like a splattering of shredded cheese on the short ribs. Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.
