This spot is great for a late night snack grab. We got the 20 wings that came with the veggie and fry sides. You get to choose 3 different sauce toppings. Personally, the wings were okay. The sauces we tried on the wings were not really it for me (I'm sure there are other flavors that are better). We each got a beer to go with the dinner. They have a good selection of beers on tap. The service was quick when ordering but it did take us a while to get our food and drinks. I would also advise that if you are coming here on a late night during the end of the week going into the weekend just be aware that there may be intoxicated individuals walking by or sitting in the outside patio (this happened to us. I have to give kudos to the staff working that they did a good job managing the individuals and ensured their safety). Overall, not too bad for the price and amount of food you get. read more

My first Fire Wings experience occurred at the Natomas location. In comparison of this location to Natomas, I would have to say that the food quality at the Natomas location is much better. The chicken wing sizes here at the Midtown spot are on the smaller side. The garlic noodles here, have crunchy ends and not enough garlic flavor. Unfortunately, my chicken sandwich was overly cooked and wasn't as juicy - as the Natomas location's chicken sandwiches. In our new norm of quarantine times, Fire Wings is heavily practicing major social distancing with no contact pick-up and paying before you come in so that the process is just picking up your order. Ye, there was much rejoicing as the Fire Wings chain opened a location in Midtown Sacramento. If you've never been to "just wing it," they've got many flavors of wangs both boneless and proper (including Asian fusion flavors you won't find at other wang places), sides, noodles, chicken sammiches, and whatnot. This delicious addition is on the bottom floor of one of the newer big, ugly, tall slabs of modern flats going up all over the grid, at the corner of 15th & Q. Recently we stopped in to get some post Sunday football wangs here, and were most pleased with our experience. Rona time calls for ordering online with their user-friendly website, and then coming by for pick up. Our order was ready for us in 20 minutes, and there were no issues. The wangs were lorge, hot, and fresh, in those flavours I love: buffalo and lemon pepper. As for the space inside, it's spotless and typical for the FW chain. It looks like there will be eventually be a bar area like they have at the Arden location. If you want to dine outside, they have a handful of scattered tables for that. You can watch the cars jam down 15th and enjoy the Fremont Park trees and various happenings. As for parking, lol ha ha during normal times, but being that it's Rona world, spots being open around the Fremont Park square is more likely. I'm happy to have a Fire Wangs so close. Fire wings is known to close at 2am. This location apparently closes at 1:40am. Doors were open and guests who had just gotten their food were seen just leaving, when a friend and I walked in the staff said they were closed. What a shame for a midtown location in my opinion. read more

Came here after the NIKI concert, around the corner at Ace of Spades. It was my first time at Fire Wings and I had a good experience. The food didn't take too long to come out and it was DELICIOUS. Better than Wingstop. My friend had Fire Wings before and even he was impressed. He said the flavor of the chicken and the garlic noodles texture was better than what he had in Stockton. I'm not usually a fan of Honey Mustard but they knocked it out of the park. Service was amazing, as one of the employees kept asking us if we needed anything and cleaned our table. They seemed like the manager or a shift lead. If they were a regular employee, then they for sure went above and beyond for a wing joint! We got the 40 wing combo and man we couldn't finish it. We took the rest to go, and it was still gooood the next day. I also saw Doordash orders constantly (even at 11pm). Walked here late one night after a concert at Ace of Spades and was so happy to get some hot fried food after drinking. The environment is very industrial and cold, but I guess it makes sense when you're serving sticky saucy foods that you don't want smeared or dripped on anything except stainless steel. They have self-service ordering screens and a counter with a register you can alternatively order at. We ordered our usual bone-in half Korean Kick and half BBQ wings and then went out on an adventurous limb and ordered their Buffalo Tender Fries which we'll never do again. Their Buffalo sauce in our opinion was way too spicy in a way where you felt like you were at a spicy food eating contest and were definitely going to have a painful and disgusting aftermath. And we like spicy food. There was no flavor to the sauce, just straight artificial vinegary spice flavor that was way over the top and ruined the fries. The ranch didn't even help offset. Lesson learned, we'll stick to their tots moving forward which are very salty but have a delicious texture that keeps you going back in for more. read more

I've never been to a consistent Fire Wings, but this one was by far the worse. We ordered a 20 pack ahead of time for pickup. We got the flavors Dragon, Mango Habanero and Lemon Pepper (our usual flavors). By the time we got home, the oils inside the box leaked all in the bag. We opened the box with the wings and had to take all of them out to pat the oils down. They were DRENCHED. The wings were so soaked that they lacked the actual flavor they were suppose to have. The seasoned fries were huge, generous portions, and came with Blue Cheese sauce. Soft drink was unlimited refills; it's not like other fast-food chains were it's limited to one refill. The Nashville Fire was advertised as its hottest Chicken sandwich. I ordered it Extra hot. The sandwich itself was fine: crispy boneless Chicken topped with coleslaw and pickles but it was mild. We ordered a 20 wing combo with a large order of garlic French fries. We got 2/3 Buffalo Wings and 1/3 Garlic Parmesan wings. Chicken wing size is pretty decent and were crispy enough. Buffalo sauce was pretty decent with not much heat to them. The Garlic Parmesan wings essentially had cheese melted on them and some parmesan on them. I would try a different flavor next time instead of the Garlic Parmesan. Garlic French Fries were elite - crinkle cut French fries with cheese and parmesan all over them. This newest location looks great both on the outside and interior and the employees were friendly and welcoming for today's grand opening! They have separate lines for in person orders and online/Door Dash orders and the line was surprisingly short when I came, only 2 people were in front of me around 12:30. All wing combos are BOGO today; I ordered 2 6 pc combos with a garlic fries upgrade ($1.50) on 1 and seasoned fries with the other. The garlic parm boneless wings were good, they were a little dry but the flavor was on point. The garlic fries were good and you also get a drink with combos- my drinks were in a drink carrier when my order was brought to me and everything was packed up really nicely and included ketchup and utensils. They have a patio out front and a nice-looking bar which wasn't in use due to COVID restrictions on indoor seating but it looked awesome. I also love the fancy soda machine. Fire Wings is my fav wing joint so I'm glad they found a home in midtown and I'm looking forward to stopping here to check out more menu items after going to my fav bars a block away in the future : ) read more
