I love fire wings, especially on their special days. On Wednesdays, they have 95 cent wings, but you have to order by ten pieces. I love their stampede, lemon pepper, and Thai chilis. They also have my favorite seasoned fries here. It's crispy and flavorful. They tend to be busy so I find it's best to order online then pick up.
A solid place for wings that gets a steady stream of patrons even on a weekday evening. This place is very centrally located and has really good deals. $0.85/boneless wing on Tuesday and $0.95/bone-in wing on Wednesday. We did the Wednesday deal and it affords you one flavor and a sauce per ten wings. We ordered the garlic parmesan with blue cheese and the peanut butter with ranch. Both wing flavors were very strong but not overpowering. We really enjoyed the fries as well. Perfectly crispy, if but a bit oily. The staff were very patient and understanding and we hemmed and hawed over our order. The food came out fairly quickly and we enjoyed it in the dining area. There are TVs around playing the latest sports ball games and there are a variety of seats - bar seating, high tops, and lower tables.
Fire wings is always so delicious. The flavors of the wings are unique and diverse. I got a 40 pc bone in wings, and it came with fries and celery! My favorite is the korean kick, it's sweet and savory and super saucey. The wings are always cooked perfectly. They got my order out pretty fast, less than 15 minutes. The worker was super nice too when I came to pick up my order.
Yes it's a chain, but also some of the best wings in sac, in my opinion. This is a regular in our lunch rotation, only a short walk from the office. I absolutely LOVE the Malaysian curry dry rub. So good! If you haven't tried it, it's going to be your new favorite, trust me lol The place itself is ok, it's downtown so maybe there's homeless ppl outside. Inside they play great music, but loudly. Also the chairs make this awful sound when you slide them out. Food: 4.5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 2 Marcels foodie score: 3.5/5

This review is for take-out/pick up from the Midtown Fire Wings. I'll start off my saying that Fire Wings is probably more of a dine-in experience if you want the best experience. That may have been our first mistake, but you'd think wings and fries would make a short 10 minute drive in to-go containers ok and still be delicious. We ordered 40 wings (20 buffalo and 20 curry for $46) along with a five piece chicken tenders ($10.50), large fry ($3.90) and large tater tots ($5.10) along with some extra dips ($.50/each). The ordering went through DoorDash and my husband picked it up himself at the designated time and brought it straight home. Pick up was easy and he was back home in a flash. I was super hungry after working all day and at that point I wanted to eat anything and everything so I went straight for the tater tots and was immediately disappointed. They weren't crispy or soggy or even hot... it was almost like they were just a bit undercooked and under seasoned. A bit of a cardboard consistency is the best way I can explain it. Just slightly warm and underwhelming. Luckily I had honey mustard to dip them in but they were not what I expected from tater tots. The fries were ordered plain and were slightly more crispy but definitely needed dip or seasoning because they were plain, plain. This is a preference, but we ordered 40 wings and 38/40 were drums. Some people like the drums the best, but I prefer flats. I'll still eat drums but I was surprised that there wasn't more of a 50/50 mix or even 30/70 mix of both. The Buffalo wings were fine and not overly sauced, so they weren't soggy after the drive home. The Curry wings are typically my favorite, but seemed under seasoned this visit. I'm used to being hit in the tastebuds with the delicious curry seasoning flavor they use and this was more like a light sprinkle. The chicken tenders were also fine, they had a nice crispy breading on them but were average and a bit on the smaller side. This was the first time I ever tried Fire Wings as take out, so I'm wondering if it was an off night, if they're not a good take out food or if this location just isn't up to the other experiences I've had at different locations. In the end, we were fed and we received what we ordered, even if it was a bit underwhelming.
My wife and I have been fond of this Fire Wings since they opened 4 or so years ago! The location cannot be beat, located at the intersection of Q and 15th St in DT/MT Sacramento. Fire Wings is walking distance from our apartment (when the weather is nice), but when it's cold AF we drive (lol). Just be aware that there's no parking lot or anything so you'll have to find a spot on the street nearby. Our go-to order at Fire Wings remains the same: 20-piece meal, all bone-in wings (boneless wings are just chicken nuggets lol). For flavors we get 7 lemon pepper, 7 garlic parmesan, and 6 mango habanero. The meal also includes seasoned fries, carrot sticks, and two sides of ranch for dipping! We find that the 20-piece meal is plenty of food for two people. As far as ambiance and service are concerned, I've never eaten IN this establishment. We always get our food via takeout. Besides a time or two, staff are extremely friendly and whip food out quickly! There are giant TVs and a bar at this location, so those who do dine-in could get a fun experience during a Kings or 49ers game. Overall, these chicken wings are consistently 'very good.' They're not the best I've had but I still vastly enjoy them. They're crispy, reasonably sized, and flavorful. Fire Wings' french fries are always delicious as well. If you're in the mood for a quick, cheap dinner or need something for your group on game-day, I recommend Fire Wings!

Wings were good, decent size. Fries were way too salty, hopefully just a one off. Quick service. We ordered from a kiosk. A bit loud inside with tv/music, but understandable since it's a wing place. Would prefer over Buffalo Wild Wings bc it's more convenient with better attention to detail (minus the fries showered in salt). read more

If you're into peanut sauce, I highly recommend getting the peanut wings. Sweet & spicy, so delicious. Went there after a concert, great option for late night food, open late and hits the spot. Service was good, they were really busy and dealing with a rowdy crowd, did the best they could! read more
This spot is great for a late night snack grab. We got the 20 wings that came with the veggie and fry sides. You get to choose 3 different sauce toppings. Personally, the wings were okay. The sauces we tried on the wings were not really it for me (I'm sure there are other flavors that are better). We each got a beer to go with the dinner. They have a good selection of beers on tap. The service was quick when ordering but it did take us a while to get our food and drinks. I would also advise that if you are coming here on a late night during the end of the week going into the weekend just be aware that there may be intoxicated individuals walking by or sitting in the outside patio (this happened to us. I have to give kudos to the staff working that they did a good job managing the individuals and ensured their safety). Overall, not too bad for the price and amount of food you get. read more

I love wings and I had never tried this place before so it was a nice try! You order inside and wait for your food at your table! Their wings were good. Not too soggy covered in sauce. I've tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and Nashville Chicken Fire sandwich combos. Buffalo Chicken was boneless, glazed in a special sauce, and served on lightly toasted Brioche buns. The seasoned fries were huge, generous portions, and came with Blue Cheese sauce. Soft drink was unlimited refills; it's not like other fast-food chains were it's limited to one refill. The Nashville Fire was advertised as its hottest Chicken sandwich. I ordered it Extra hot. The sandwich itself was fine: crispy boneless Chicken topped with coleslaw and pickles but it was mild. The prices for the sandwich combos are reasonable for a casual, sit-down restaurant. read more

My first Fire Wings experience occurred at the Natomas location. In comparison of this location to Natomas, I would have to say that the food quality at the Natomas location is much better. The chicken wing sizes here at the Midtown spot are on the smaller side. The garlic noodles here, have crunchy ends and not enough garlic flavor. Unfortunately, my chicken sandwich was overly cooked and wasn't as juicy - as the Natomas location's chicken sandwiches. In our new norm of quarantine times, Fire Wings is heavily practicing major social distancing with no contact pick-up and paying before you come in so that the process is just picking up your order. Don't forget to bring in your ID and the card you use to pay for your order, as they require these two items when picking up your order. After almost 2 years of not eating at fire wings after two awful experiences at the Fairfield location, I decided I wanted wings for lunch while working at downtown Sacramento. Walked almost 10 minutes to show up 22 minutes after they were supposed to be open, their signs set open, but all their doors were locked while the employees just stood inside. Ye, there was much rejoicing as the Fire Wings chain opened a location in Midtown Sacramento. If you've never been to "just wing it," they've got many flavors of wangs both boneless and proper (including Asian fusion flavors you won't find at other wang places), sides, noodles, chicken sammiches, and whatnot. This delicious addition is on the bottom floor of one of the newer big, ugly, tall slabs of modern flats going up all over the grid, at the corner of 15th & Q. Recently we stopped in to get some post Sunday football wangs here, and were most pleased with our experience. Rona time calls for ordering online with their user-friendly website, and then coming by for pick up. Our order was ready for us in 20 minutes, and there were no issues. The wangs were lorge, hot, and fresh, in those flavours I love: buffalo and lemon pepper. As for the space inside, it's spotless and typical for the FW chain. It looks like there will be eventually be a bar area like they have at the Arden location. If you want to dine outside, they have a handful of scattered tables for that. You can watch the cars jam down 15th and enjoy the Fremont Park trees and various happenings. As for parking, lol ha ha during normal times, but being that it's Rona world, spots being open around the Fremont Park square is more likely. I'm happy to have a Fire Wangs so close. My friend and I came to Fire Wings to lift our spirits after another disappointing Kings loss. The service was fine and the food came out swiftly. The ambiance was casual and had modern Pop playing on the radio. Their Thai chili boneless wings were decent but the wings were a bit too saucy. The lemon pepper wings were good but a bit salty. We ordered seasoned fries but we received the bottom leftover fries if you know what I mean (majority were small, overcooked crumbs). The buffalo wings were okay-- some pieces were dry and only the bottom wings were drenched in the sauce. The upside is if you're looking for a quick bite to eat at night, this Fire Wings is open til 2am. read more

Came here after the NIKI concert, around the corner at Ace of Spades. It was my first time at Fire Wings and I had a good experience. The food didn't take too long to come out and it was DELICIOUS. Better than Wingstop. My friend had Fire Wings before and even he was impressed. He said the flavor of the chicken and the garlic noodles texture was better than what he had in Stockton. I'm not usually a fan of Honey Mustard but they knocked it out of the park. Service was amazing, as one of the employees kept asking us if we needed anything and cleaned our table. They seemed like the manager or a shift lead. If they were a regular employee, then they for sure went above and beyond for a wing joint! We got the 40 wing combo and man we couldn't finish it. We took the rest to go, and it was still gooood the next day. I also saw Doordash orders constantly (even at 11pm). Seems like a popular option for dinner or a late night grub through Doordash! read more

Firewings is everywhere! Lol. I didn't know they had one in midtown. We were checking out another food place and decided to have lunch here. We came here a little after 11 on a Saturday and we're probably the first customers lol. We've been to the other locations so we knew what to order. The service was quick and our server was super nice! Our go to are always the lemon pepper and Saigon street wings which never fails! This location is spacious and clean. We definitely will be back and highly recommend this location! read more
We placed an order through Doordash. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Strip Combo with Mac-N-Cheese, 8pc all flat combo with Jalapeño Poppers, and the 6pc boneless wings with wings. Part of my chicken strips were missing part of the Buffalo sauce so it lacked that Buffalo flavor. The Jalapeño Poppers were super cheesy which we liked. Fries were good like always. My Brisk tea totally sucked. It had no flavor whatsoever so that was a waste of money. read more
Ordered this off of Uber Eats and they got us our food in a pretty timely manner. This seems very similar to the wingstop concept with tons of flavors available at a chain. We ordered a 20 wing combo with a large order of garlic French fries. We got 2/3 Buffalo Wings and 1/3 Garlic Parmesan wings. Chicken wing size is pretty decent and were crispy enough. Buffalo sauce was pretty decent with not much heat to them. The Garlic Parmesan wings essentially had cheese melted on them and some parmesan on them. I would try a different flavor next time instead of the Garlic Parmesan. Garlic French Fries were elite - crinkle cut French fries with cheese and parmesan all over them. Overall Fire Wings is a decent spot for getting take out from or if you need a quick chicken wing fix. read more

I've never been to a consistent Fire Wings, but this one was by far the worse. We ordered a 20 pack ahead of time for pickup. We got the flavors Dragon, Mango Habanero and Lemon Pepper (our usual flavors). By the time we got home, the oils inside the box leaked all in the bag. We opened the box with the wings and had to take all of them out to pat the oils down. They were DRENCHED. The wings were so soaked that they lacked the actual flavor they were suppose to have. It honestly made me lose my appetite, the amount of oil was unsettling. read more

So I was going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this place. Overall, lots of options to select. The sauces on the wings were really good but the wings were just so small. If you are hungry you need to get 8 yourself...and more. Got 8 pieces and loved that you can split the flavors with 4 and 4. THE RANCH. Yum. And I really liked their fries. The Nashville Hot Sandwich was good but not spicy enough to claim it to be Nashville. Bread, chicken breast and everything else was satisfying. To me this is more like a fast food type place. For that kind of restaurant I would give it a 4. If this was a true dine in experience I probably would give it a 3. Worth trying. read more

First time in Sacramento and I walked by this place severs times during my trip and decided to try it out. It was amazing! Definitely recommend because the food was good if you want a quick bite or are craving wings. My only qualm is that I visited when they were closing and the employees were kind of all over the place, which is expected, but it felt kind of chaotic. I also got Sierra Mist and it tasted like Seltzer water probably because the Sierra Mist was gone. read more

This newest location looks great both on the outside and interior and the employees were friendly and welcoming for today's grand opening! They have separate lines for in person orders and online/Door Dash orders and the line was surprisingly short when I came, only 2 people were in front of me around 12:30. All wing combos are BOGO today; I ordered 2 6 pc combos with a garlic fries upgrade ($1.50) on 1 and seasoned fries with the other. The garlic parm boneless wings were good, they were a little dry but the flavor was on point. The garlic fries were good and you also get a drink with combos- my drinks were in a drink carrier when my order was brought to me and everything was packed up really nicely and included ketchup and utensils. They have a patio out front and a nice-looking bar which wasn't in use due to COVID restrictions on indoor seating but it looked awesome. I also love the fancy soda machine. Fire Wings is my fav wing joint so I'm glad they found a home in midtown and I'm looking forward to stopping here to check out more menu items after going to my fav bars a block away in the future : ) read more
