As someone with a high spice tolerance, I've become accustomed to only feeling a moderate burn when it comes to spicy chicken sandwiches. The worker expressed some doubt when I asked for an X-hot and suggested that I try the regular hot option first. Yeah okay... as if she knows how much of a spice fanatic I am. Turns out she probably saved me from a catastrophic water bill and potentially calling in sick the next morning. Of course, the spices aren't the only thing that makes the chicken great. Their sliders pack more flavor than I was ready for. It's my understanding that the owner of the franchise did not grow up as a Nashville native, but I have to give credit when it's due; this is some amazing chicken. Ordered a medium heat angry mac, was served their highest heat that you need to "sign a waiver" to eat, then was laughed at and told I should've read the label before eating it. the place is called angry chickz, how was i supposed to know "angry" meant that its their chicken so hot it supposedly needs a waiver? they eventually apologized after giving me my replacement, then angrily closed the store and made it so obvious they wanted us out. Couldn't make it past one bite before deciding to write this review. I am a fan of angry chickz but this location is terrible. The quality and taste is so inconsistent here. This was the blandest bite of chickens sliders I've had by far from here. I ordered an extra slaw and the slaw tasted so raw and was sour. Every visit to this location makes you realize the reasons for the inconsistent quality and service is bc the employees don't care. There are various levels of spice that you can choose from. If you're a little weak like me, I just go with the mild or medium. It comes with coleslaw and pickles. Who doesnt love seasoned fries? Their sauce on the side is good too for dipping your sandwich or fries. You can also ask for ketchup and honey. The mac is also tasty. I cant finish 2 sandwiches and the fries in one sitting. This location is consistent in their quality. The service is hit or miss sometimes. The cashier is either nice or nonchalant. After curiously walking by Angry Chickz hundreds of times, I finally got to try it this weekend. I was very excited to see how it compared to my favorite hot chicken place. I ordered the Angry Mac: "Two chopped tenders over fries with mac & cheese and secret sauce." Customer service was good. The cashier answered my (many) questions without getting annoyed, and it didn't take very long to receive my food. When I received my order, I couldn't believe how packed the bowl was. Given the size of the to-go container, my bowl was as packed as it could possibly be. The portion size was very generous. It took me all day to finish eating this, plus I was still too full to eat any breakfast the next day. The seasoned fries were bomb. Very salty, but some of the best I've had. Even though they were on the bottom, I tried to mostly eat them first (since fries don't last as long or reheat as well as the other ingredients). The mac and cheese was very good. Very cheesy. It went well with all of the other ingredients. The chicken was incredibly spicy-- even spicier than my favorite hot chicken place. I had asked for the "hot" level of spiciness, and could barely handle it. Unlike the competition, the flavor wasn't sunk into every molecule of chicken flesh. It was mostly added to the outside. The inside of the chicken was still great, but just not as impressive as my favorite place. I really enjoyed my food, but would agree with some of the other reviewers who said that the heat mostly comes from an excess of seasoning. I have been here a couple of times so I will start out by saying the food is good. I decided to try the Mac and Cheese bowl with the extra hot chicken. Warning it is hot as advertised. ‍ I took a big bite and that's when the trouble started. Mouth on fire, eyes watering then my youngest (14) decided to try an even bigger bite and by the end after he returned from the bathroom he looked like he had been pepper sprayed. I love the chicken sandwiches from here! My coworkers often go pick it up and bring it back and everybody in the office orders. The restaurant itself is cute and a good size with seating for about four people per table comfortably and not a lot of space but a friendly atmosphere for a quick bite. I like the different heat levels although I normally get the same heat level and it can vary on how spicy it is. But I ordered the two sliders and honestly, they are big enough to me that I feel like they're not even a slider just a regular chicken sandwich and I could save one for later lol. Across the stress is Corti Brothers and other stores. The address here is 5801 Folsom Blvd, Ste 130, Sacramento, CA 95819 East Sacramento. This restaurant is tiny but cute. You can get your own drink refill. They have water cups next to the cash register. Plastic utensils, napkins, and some condiments were on the side where you can grab your own without having to ask. Uopn arrival: Pros 1) restaurant clean. 2) cashier was nice and helpful. 3) we ordered Combo #1, $16.00 at medium hot. Comes with 2 Chicken sliders & fries. A drink is $2.50 separate. Slaw, burger, and fries were all good. Chicken and fries had a nice crunch and flavoring. On some pieces of chicken, I took it out of the batter to try. It was nice and soft. I liked it! 4) I saw lots of people eating here. All friendly and minding their own business, enjoying their meals. Like we were too. ;) 5) You can get unlimited refills on your drink. 6) water from their sofa machine tasted good. It didn't have that....odd taste to it. Like when they run out of the syrup out of one drink and it's mostly water. That funky taste. Didn't have that and it tasted great 7) bathroom is unisex. 2 bathrooms. 1 stall in each. Once again my family and I were on the hunt for some good chicken. My brother frequently gets his food from here so I figured we'd give it a shot. Their menu isn't very expansive so deciding what we should get wasn't too difficult. We ordered the Mild Angry Mac, Medium, and Hot #2 Combo. Mild had just a touch of heat and was very manageable to eat. Mac was cheesy and creamy, chicken tender and juicy, and fries were able to hold their crisp and structure underneath all that delicious Mac & chicken. Very filling! My son said the medium heat was a good heat where he could still enjoy his chicken without having to pant or sweat, lol. My daughter who can tolerate quite a beat of heat said the hot level was extremely spicy! For comparison, she puts the whole spicy packet of the pink Buldak into her bowl and she said the hot level at Angry Chicks was more than that!
