Not our "go to" wing place. I like their variety of flavors etc. When I order out, the order is ready when they say it will be ready. When the wings are good, they are good, well seasoned, cooked to perfection and nice and crispy. Unfortunately their food is very inconsistent both at the same locations and different locations. The level of seasoning can vary consistently as can the level of doneness. Also, the wings are often sitting in a pool of oil in their to go boxes which is not appealing. read more

My order: 20pc bone in for all; peanut butter, Peking, and fire with jalapeño poppers and veggie sticks with ranch. Never tried the boneless version so I can't review it but I love the bone in and don't wanna risk getting boneless and end up disliking it. Peanut butter - I like it super coated in sauce so I was disappointed by the lack of sauce; however, the meat wasn't dry (over cooked) like the fire wings at delta shores location so that's a plus. Also, it may be a strange flavor but I'm so glad my bf intro me to it and now it's one of my fav flavors. Peking - you can never go wrong with Peking! It's so delicious and it's not spicy it's actually savory and sort of sweet. There was a little bit more sauce on this one so I'm not complaining. Fire - I decided to try this just because of the restaurant name and regretted it terribly. It just tastes like it was covered in Buffalo hot sauce and I personally don't like buffalo hot sauce. It has a bit of kick to it cuz it is spicy so if you're into Buffalo hot sauce and spice then this is for you, but I would personally not get this ever again. Jalapeño poppers - crispy, delicious, piping hot, and clean bites without the whole jalapeño coming out of the crust. I loved eating these little guys! They were probably the most enjoyable bites of jalapeño poppers I ever had. But do be careful! They're hot inside and can be a bit spicy. I ate it with ranch and it was so delicious. Veggie sticks - I mean... it's a veggie stick... so you can't really mess it up... and i thought I wouldn't like it tbh but I actually enjoyed it more than the fire wings. I've been going to Wingstop for years for my lemon pepper chicken until Fire Wings opened up. Once they did, it was over. They have SO many flavors to choose from. So many. And lots of tasty sides that I didn't expect to be that good. You know most wings spots have subpar sides because the chicken is the star. Not here.. Garlic Noodles 5/5* For some reason the garlic noodles here are so good! Better than garlic noodles at Cajun seafood restaurants. I know right? Totally unexpected. They're soft, but have that chewy al dente bite, are super garlicky and loaded with parmesan. Dragon or Saigon Street 4/5* The flavors are slightly similar. Sweet, salty, spicy. Great combo, but they do have a tendency to over-sauce, which ruins it a little bit. Ask for light sauce. Lemon Pepper 5/5* Crispy large wings and drumsticks with just enough seasoning that won't make your lips and mouth pucker from the salt. My all time favorite! Peanut Butter 4/5* It sounds funky but the chicken really doesn't have a strong peanut butter flavor. It's just a nice crispy coating with sprinkled peanuts that gives an even extra crunch. Mac and Cheese 4/5* At first bite, I thought it was bland and the noodles were too soft. I got the family pack of 40 wings and had to get the salt & pepper wings, thai chili, mango habanero, and parmesan. All of these flavors are typical of wing stop, but man are the wings crispy. Aside from the flavors, what makes the wings stand out is the crispiness and moistness of the wings. Typically from wingstop, the wings are very dry and hard chew, but these wings are crispy and moist with a coating of flavor which just are fire. With the family pack, there are also sides which I got the mac n cheese, garlic noodles, and vegetable sticks. The mac n cheese was okay, but the garlic noodles were very garlicky and delicious. Fire wings also just dropped their own version of the Nashville fried chicken sandwich. I have had howling rays and actual nashville fried chickens from boltens, and it is hard to compare, but they did get their cole slaw right and the chicken was moist, but it lacked the kick typical of Nashville fried chicken. I came around 1030pm and Elk Grove doesn't have many restaurants open that late so I'm glad that we have more options now. It was pretty busy even at that time but I got to the register in 15 minutes which isn't bad at all. It gave me time to think about what I wanted to order. There's seating outside and inside so you do have options to sit. I do recommend taking it to go if you don't see any seats immediately. Back to my order: I got the 20 piece traditional wings only w/ a side of ranch (it does cost extra for the ranch). The three sauce I got included garlic Parmesan, mango habanero and Cali rub. The mango habanero as always tasted delicious and has that nice kick to it only if you like spicy. Don't order it if you can't take the heat seriously. The garlic parm was decent, tasted a lot more of the breading more than anything. The Cali rub which if you love dry rub then this is it for you. The wings come and go quickly when I'm eating. I'm not the biggest fan of the fries here so I don't get it. I'm here for the wings and wings alone. I might try the chicken sandwich sooner or later though. The employees are always great here no matter what time of the day. It does get crowded easily which is the bad part but speaks on the business itself. People love coming here and and I'll continue to come back as well. Unlike Wingstop, you can actually throw away your food so others can sit after you. Personally, I would rather go to Wingstop just because i love their fries and their garlic parm taste so much better but I have no issues coming back to Fire Wings. Boy oh boy is this place underrated. This was my second time trying this place, and I've decided to place a takeout order through the phone. I called twice, nobody picked up. On the side I've ordered cheese sticks. This lady whom was taking my order though, was on a whole new level. The way in which she recalled my order was just magnificent. She was speaking super rapidly, but in a clear enough tone to where you still understand every single word she've said. When I had arrived here to pick up my order, this lady with amazing dreads greeted me with a smile, the degree of customer service was just spectacular, and she was absolutely gorgeous. Thank God they got the order right, and not mistake bone in with boneless, just like how Wingstop and Buffalo wild wings does it almost half the time. The taste? It cannot even compare with said competitors. My mother and brother agreed wholeheartedly. Even the Korean kick, As a Korean myself I've tried countless different types of spicy Korean fried chicken, even the ones in Korea, and they absolutely did this one justice. My sister was really craving wings on Friday night so we ordered online for pick up. We selected the "ASAP" option for pick up and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I waited 30 minutes before actually leaving the house to go pick it up and when we arrived the place was PACKED. There was literally no space to stand and wait for your order because there were so many people waiting for their food too! I checked in and was told it would be another 10-15mins for my order. Usually I would be fine with waiting, especially since it was a crazy busy Friday night. But it was a little frustrating to be quoted 20 minutes and have to wait double the time. I would recommend overshooting for time to give them the opportunity to have it available for the customer when they arrive. We ordered their mango habanero which I really enjoyed. You could taste the sweetness of the mango and there was a nice little kick. We also had their Thai chili which was pretty standard. Their spiciest flavor is their "fire" sauce and we were in the mood to sweat so we ordered it. Turns out it's really not that hot. Stopped in for lunch and as we've had Fire Wings before (Delta Shores location) we assumed this was a safe bet. After we ordered we took a seat and the table was sticky, we checked several tables and they were all sticky. We had to wet napkins with water and clean the table ourselves. At the time we were the only ones in there and the wings took a good 20 minutes to come out. We asked for extra sauce/seasoning on the wings as sometimes they are a little dry and let's just say we got what we asked for and then some. My Peking wings were swimming in sauce and the Louisiana rub and lemon pepper were almost inedible as it seemed they just dumped the whole seasoning shaker on them. I guess I can't really be mad as we did ask for extra, just wasn't expecting that much. The ratio of flats and drums were off. We got all flats in the Louisiana rub and only 2 flats in the Peking. Fire Wings is a hot spot in Elk Grove! Elk Grove doesn't have many restaurants opened that late past 10 pm, so when we saw they were opened until 12 am we were relieved!
