I have never eaten inside this place. we decided to go in this time since I wanted to hit Costco after. The place was really busy inside just as the drive through was . It was a nice size and there were a lot of tables to sit at but only a few left since there were a lot of customers. Some were even standing waiting for their food. The place was really clean and nice. We went to the counter and only 2 people in front of us. I ordered and the number was on the receipt. We waited about 5 minutes and our number was called. It's different inside. you can see them all working. It was neat to see the potato's being cut for the fires. Lots of work and looked like a workout doing it. Another 5 star meal from the close by Elk Grove In-N-Out Burger. I'm an Animal Style Cheeshburger person and today's was perfect! I was wise to get there just before the noon rush and when I left every seat was taken. My folks were regular customers of the Synder's original location in 1948. I was born 1/3/49 and on the way home from San Gaberial Valley Hospital I went to my first In-N-Out drive thru. I have been loving them all of my almost 77 years. My move from the South to NorCal just happened to coinside with In-N-Out's move up here. This week they had 2 Grand Openings in Tennessee, the first for their new South East division. Clean, friendly, quick and fresh. What more can you expect by the most desirable burger chain? Service is top notch with a smiling friendly greeting, of groomed and uniformed young staff. Looks like Staff members sweep, wipe and rotate positions from fryer, prep, cleaning, and counter. The beef patties are not huge but with fresh garnishes of sweet onion, tomato and lettuce it can feel like a bigger meal than it is. It tastes fresh and healthy unlike other frozen fast food places. Although pickles are not included, one of my favorite features are the very hot peppers that you can bag and take with you. This in-n-out is one of the faster locations I've been to. They always have a line of cars waiting and busy inside but always push out consistent food. There ice machine here is that good light airy ice just like sonics. I always order a double double with with chopped peppers , but this time around I got a double double animal style with chopped grilled pinions, whole grilled onion and raw onion. Delicious. All the onion types add an enjoyable crunch to the burger. Pro-tip if you have Americans cheese at home, just get fries with chopped grilled onions(it's free) and add the cheese on at home. I have had a falling out with In N Out in Sacramento, the metro market does not seem to know how to make a good burger and fries, unlike locations in Southern California. I thought I'd give this newer location in Elk Grove near the Costco a try. I came with an open mind. I was in line for 10-15 minutes with just a handful of cars ahead of me. I ordered a hamburger meal with mustard instead of spread, add pickles. The burger was not attractive. It was tiny too! That shrinkflation is no joke! An anemic little piece of whitish iceberg lettuce peeked out. The buns were toasted so there's that at least. I made it to three bites of the burger. Unfortunately just bad. This place was hopping and the employees were hustling and working well together. Super busy in the drive thru, so ordered inside. Also very busy but was helped immediately. Waited about 10-15 minutes for my order, not a big deal since there were 20+ orders ahead of me plus the drive thru orders. They were working well together, very cohesive team, very efficient. So much communication between staff, everyone seemed to know their job. They were putting out orders right and left and no one complained about a wrong order. They typically get the order correct, but they have forgotten things on several occasions (ex: when I ask for spread on the side, there's no spread). The inside of the buns were severally charred on my most recently visit as well. All in all, I don't have any major complaints about this location and it's the one I visit most frequently. read more

Yes! Another perfectly cloned In-N-Out Burger restaurant that's even closer to my home then the other locations. My family has been going to the other locations and the quality taste that In-N-Out prides themselves of is no different at this NEW location. We were afraid the parking lot would be insane with Costco and all the other businesses nearby but the traffic has been acceptable. Because of the new location, everything is so clean and there's plenty of seating. The workers are glad to serve and my order has been accurate the numerous times I've been here since they opened. My favorite is a #2 Grilled Onions and a Coke and it's refreshing to see the prices are still within my budget and dare I say better than burgers twice the amount. read more

I'm down here in Elk Grove visiting a friend and she felt like In N Out for lunch. Usually I like Habit burger better, but I don't think there's one around here. This is a newer location of In N Out, so the parking lot and store are all shiny and new looking. We did dine inside and lucky we got a booth! I'm trying to cut the carbs a little, so I skipped fries, but stuck with my Double Double Animal style with extra grilled onions. Price for this has gone up to a little over $5 bucks. Our number is called quick enough and the food looks fab as usual. One thing about In N Out, is on consistency of service and food over all the locations. Yes, That first bite into that luscious burger, it's amazing, close your eyes and that cloud of happiness will fall over you! Hers a tip if you'd like more meaty flavor ... turn the burger up side down with the meat on the bottom and bite in, the meat will hit your tongue first and you get a more meaty flavor experiernce ... really try it, and them eat the normal way and taste the difference. read more

If you have read my recent review for the In N Out Burger on Bond road, you know about my love for In N Out. Prior to the opening of this new location, my two options were either the Bond or Delta Shores locations. Although consistently busy (the line generally goes all the way back to the nearby Staples), the Bond location is extremely efficient & has superb customer service. On the other hand, the Delta Shores location is not as efficient (we almost spent an hour in line and they were not as busy as the Bond location), but has good customer service. When I heard that this new location (which is located less than five minutes away from our home), we had to check it out. When we pulled into the drive thru, we were warmly greeted by an Elk Grove police officer who was assisting the employees with directing traffic. Although folks have mixed feelings about the Elk Grove Police Department (including myself), it was nice to see them in a jolly light as they collaborated with the In N Out staff. Even though the drive thru line was mildly busy, we were in and out (pun intended) of the line in less than 15 minutes! Similar to the Bond location, staff were extremely friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be at work (something that is rare post-pandemic). Our orders of two double doubles and three animal style fries (we always like to split a third fry just in case one order is not enough-don't judge us!) were on par with the standard of deliciousness that we're accustomed to from the other In N Out locations. Although I know that large crowds at this location is good for business, the selfish side of me hopes that this location doesn't get outrageously busy. However, seeing that it resides in the same place as Costco, I know that this isn't a realistic wish. I recommend checking out this location if you have a strong yearning for a good burger + fries! read more

As expected, all of Elk Grove has flocked to the newest In n Out location already on opening day! But they were prepared and super organized with several people directing traffic and taking orders outside. They were very organized and even have a system implemented where they have a second person come double check your order and give you an order ticket to hand over when you get up to the window. I was in and out (see what I did there) in 15 minutes which is faster than the other location! Food was delicious, as always. This In n Out has recently opened up in Elk Grove. It is located by the Costco. I went through the drive thru. The line was pretty long, as any other In N Out, but for a newly opened place, they were very organized. They had people in the parking lot directing traffic. They had two people walking around taking your orders. After you order they had another person, who gave you an order ticket. There were no hiccups with our experience. Having lived in Elk Grove for over 20 years, a second In N Out has been long overdue. And I mean LONG OVERDUE. For anyone and everyone who has traversed through Elk Grove, there has been only one In N Out and that one is on E. Stockton Blvd. Sure, another one did open up by Delta Shores but that one was although close, it was still a drive away. The lines at the other In N Out were crazy and unsure how many years it took to get to a one line system down, I mainly skipped out on the place because of the crazy and long lines. Now that there is an In N Out on this side of the freeway, I'll be frequenting this one more often because it's not only very close to me, it's very fast and very efficient. One line, one drive thru and located at The Ridge where the Costco is. They blocked off a section of the Costco parking lot to prevent would be line cutters. Smart. I know because I tried to go down one aisle and ended up making a U-turn (more like 3 point turn) to get out towards the main lane. While the long lines may put you off about In N Out, they shouldn't. Upon pulling into the drive thru, there were many employees standing about ready to take your order. The other one? Just one. Now you can see why this one is a lot faster. It reminded of a Chik Fil A almost with the amount of employees taking the order down. After I placed my order, another person comes out to give me a receipt and confirms my order again to make sure it is correct. He told me that once I get to the paying window, to give them the receipt and also my form of payment. They also repeat your order number that's also on your receipt just to make sure. The receipt also has the color of the car I'm in. After paying at the window, we then proceed to the pick-up window. And as usual they ask if you want ketchup. Got my order and I left. The whole process took approximately 10-15 mins. Wow! When I arrived, it was the beginning of the lunch rush so I may have gone at a good time but still, I don't think I've ever been in and out that quickly before. It was quite literally "in n out." I wanted to add that all the employees whether it's taking your order or repeating your order all took a class in fast speaking because if you're not paying attention to what they're repeating back to you, your order could be messed up. They talk extremely fast. Forgot to take a picture of my food but it was the hamburger meal with onions, pickles, no salt on the burger, Dr. Pepper and well done fries. Opening day! Driving by living my best life thinking it couldn't get any better when suddenly I see the lights of In-N-Out burger are on! I expected a huge line but was surprised to see something quite manageable by In-out-out standards. They had quite a few traffic control personnel out as well as cones set up to handle ovrtflow. Not sure how long this will last but nice to see that they are considering traffic concerns in this area. On to the food. Classic in and out. Great burgers, great fries and fast service. It seems like they are training lots of new staff, so there was no shortage, but that didn't stop them from providing the great consistent service I am used to. Let's hope that having another In-N-Out in Elk Grove makes those long lines and waits more manageable! read more

We went to get the right order and the food was cold and soggy. They didn't accommodate to the instructions we gave them for the burger. Lately, my experiences with overall customer service and speed at food establishments have been... sucky. Doing the job seems to be an inconvenience, or having the job at all. Except for In-N-Out. Period. As delicious and consistent things are, I have to commend the evening crew on 9/27/2024. We drove by to see a good 30 vehicles snaking through the parking lot and drive thru. No way we'd get food quickly. About 10 minutes later, we found ourselves headed back to fall in that line. Shockingly, the parking lot was clear, the cars in line were a fraction of what I saw earlier. We were fine waiting longer, knowing inside of the place was also full. Next thing we know, we're at the window, paying, getting our food and rolling away. What the heck just happened?! I'll tell you what happened. Customer service excellence is what we experienced. It was truly impressive and a refreshing change. Even more impressive? The staff were younger. The kind working together to get sh*t done. Can't go wrong with such a simple menu! It's located in The Ridge, meaning it gets pretty busy no matter what time of day you stop by. However, service is superrr quick so you truly will be "in-n-out" We dined in this time, it's very clean and bright. You can see the workers zooming back and forth in the back. It's really cool to see how they have a set routine since they don't bump right into each other. I love how simple their burgers are. The fries aren't my favorite. But as a little hack, you can tweak it to your likeness. I enjoy softer fries, so I order them very light (you can order them well-done or extra well-done if you like them crispy) which makes me enjoy them more when I order animal-style.
