We wanted to support a new local business (opening during Covid takes some cohones) and the hubby loves wings, so Fire wings was a no brainer. Placed an order via DoorDash and really appreciated that you can customize the wings to your liking. You can select the flavors, and customize the type of finds (drums or flats) and how it's made (naked or breaded). This was perfect, because I could get the wings that I really wanted. The order arrived correctly and we dug right in: -I got the Parmesan garlic and dragon. The Parmesan garlic had a good cheese flavor and the garlic was subtle. I wish there was salt and pepper on them;without they were a bit bland. Luckily some of the dragon sauce leaked into the compartment, which made them delicious. What a happy accident. -my hubby got the Buffalo and fire. He has a hard time figuring out which was which. He enjoyed both, but confirmed what others were saying: they were not very hot. He thought it was still very good. -We both got the mixed veggies on the side, which were very fresh and clean. -Blue cheese and ranch dips were both a bit on the watery side, but packed tons of flavor. What I tried: Dynamite Malaysian Curry Saigon Verdict: The flavors are so unique and delicious!! Moist and crispy even after a 20 min drive. I'm typically not too big of a dry rub fan, but the Malaysian Curry definitely blew me away! It was by far the most crispy and just had the right amount of spices. My second favorite was the Saigon flavor, an homage to fish sauce wings. I loved it! It was garlicy and not too sweet! Lastly, Dynamite was pretty tasty, a nice sweet and savory bite with a kick! I was really hesitant to try wings at first but turns out the boneless wings are actually chicken breast . So this place is basically just flavored chicken nuggets and I LOVE IT!!! It's so good! I have tried these wing flavors: Thai chili, Saigon Street, lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan, dragon, mango habenaro, and I've tried their veggie sticks, garlic noodles, and their blue cheese dip. I liked all of them, but wasn't the biggest fan of the Thai chili, mango habenaro, or the garlic noodles. I *strongly* recommend the Saigon street, lemon pepper, and dragon. He gave me really good recommendations on what to get and they did not disappoint! The fries were really nicely made, and the chicken wings were just *chefs kiss*. The chef (I think his name was Andy) made things really well, I've never tasted wings like this before. Definitely gonna come back soon. I recommend getting the original bbq flavor and the cali rub! I like their bbq sauce and while it's a tad on the sweet side, it balanced out the dry rub curry. Two of my favorites there. I forgot to get their dry rub garlic parmesan, but that shall be for another day. The good? Their food is just as delicious as it is in Sacramento. I understand why my friend loves it so. Yeah I legit didn't know there was a Fire Wings in SJ so when my main man Bvo told me about it, we had to go. I used to go to the Fire Wings in Berkeley all the time and it was my favorite wings place in the area. The best thing about Fire Wings has got to be their unique wing flavors. Peanut is a go-to for me, and their peking, lemon pepper, dragon, and saigon street are all pretty good too. Their peanut wings taste kinda like thai peanut noodles and they sprinkle a ton of chopped peanuts on them, and the peking wings literally taste like peking spareribs, lol. I would highly recommend their garlic noodles and garlic fries too. You can't go wrong with either. The garlic noodles are my friend Alex AKA Vermillion's favorite, and they're pretty good. Super garlicky and cheesy. Personally, I'll say I prefer the garlic fries. The garlic fries at Fire Wings are the best garlic fries I've had anywhere. Nice and garlicky with a good portion size too. Shoutout to Bvo and Eli. According to Bvo, the chicken sandwich here is really good too, better than Popeyes. I'll have to try that next time. I'm only giving this place a 4/5 because it's not as good as the Berkeley location. Their wings were also slightly overcooked when I went, but the sauce made up for it. This was my First time at a fire wings. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean everything was and the staff was friendly and attentive. I felt safe bringing my business here as they all had masks on and consistently cleaning/wiping down high touch areas. I love chicken wings!!! I must say everything was delicious. I took a try out of the buffalo one and notice something wasn't right. The wing was not fresh and it was probably got toss to my order from a previous badge. The flavor was more sour than that spice you would expect out of the buffalo style and buttery. The lemon pepper was hot and fresh i can tell right out of the gate as it was also very dry with no moist to it. The flavor of that was adequate to my liking. I come to this Fire Wings location and they never disappoint! Depending on the time you come, parking in the front of the restaurant can be a little tight. The restaurant is very clean and has old seating to enjoy your meal. At the front there is 2 ways to order, on your own with a tablet and with a cashier. I noticed that some customizations may be limited on the tablet, so it's always safe to just order with an employee to get what you want! In the back there are sinks outside of the bathroom if you need to wash your hands and not worry about wait for a stall to open up, which is great! I usually don't wait longer than 10 minutes to receive my order. I have had my dine in order messed up once and received the wrong flavor, but the staff were great and took it back and came out with the correct wings swiftly. I highly recommend cali rub and dragon for wings and the garlic fries and garlic noodles for sides! The serving sizes are big and are sure to leave you satisfied. read more

Nothing says wings like Sunday Football. I saw Fire Wings on the Hot & New list, so I decided to switch things up and try some place new for wings. Fire Wings' menu was impressive. They had around 20 flavors categorized by Classic, Dry Rub and Fusion. I ordered a 10 wing (2 flavors) + 5 wing (1 flavor) add-on. Unfortunately the wings weren't that great. The pieces of the chicken were small, and they had the essence of old oil that had been used one too many times for frying. I didn't love the flavors I chose, which were the Malaysian Curry, Cali Rub and Dragon sauce. The Malaysian Curry rub and Cali rub were almost indistinguishable. They both had curry/cumin/coriander tones, and the only difference was that the Malaysian Curry was more lemony. Of the 3 flavors, I liked the Dragon sauce the best. It kind of reminded me of the flavors used for Hunan chicken. I didn't like that the breading was laid on thickly on the wings with the Dragon sauce. I ordered a side of fries with seasoning, but I'm pretty sure I received a plain order of fries instead. The fries had no seasoning whatsoever. At the very least they were just salted. Not only do they nail the classic flavors(buffalo, lemon pepper, etc.), their Asian fusions are a great twist which satisfies the palate with savory/umami notes. Being a regular here, there are some flavors that I recommend: Dragon -- sweet and savory. Peking -- sweet and sour, almost reminiscent of sweet and sour pork spare ribs. My friends and I went on their grand opening day when they were offering 50% off any combos. This was a super good deal that we could not pass up! My friends and I came during a busy time. They had a lot of people waiting for their orders and they were super busy. They have outdoor seating during COVID but it is pretty limited and fills up pretty quickly. Also, they do not accept American Express cards. I first gave her my Amex and it didn't go through, she then realized they don't accept Amex. I could tell she was very flustered and it could have been due to the fact that they were busy and of course that they are brand new to San Jose. We decided to all order various boneless wing combos so we can try a variety of flavors. We ordered the following: lemon pepper, dragon, Korean kick, thai chili, mango habanero, regular fries, seasoned fries, and fire fries. Since we ordered the combos, we got 1 side each (all of the fries we got) and a drink. However, for the drinks they were only offering either water, pepsi, or diet pepsi. I DoorDashed a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and fire fries from this restaurant today 6/30/22, and the CHICKEN WAS RAW! It was breaded on the outside as it should be, so I took a bite out of it (and swallowed unfortunately) to only realize the chicken was soft and PINK. Hopefully I don't get Salmonella or food poisoning in the next couple of days. I got excellent customer service from DoorDash with a refund and some for the inconvenience. I will most likely be calling the Health Department tomorrow as I'm sure this isn't the first time they served RAW chicken and I really hope there aren't people out there unaware and eating raw/undercooked food.
