*Update: January 10, 2019: Our second visit at this location and we waited from 7:45pm until around 8:30pm for our food. It was a horrific wait because we were all so hAngry, and trust me, my party and I were not the only ones waiting. Our visit was busier than ever; a good sign for Fire Wings, but the lack of customer service and cleanliness is what pushed me back. Just a few observations during their busy soft opening week: The sink station was super wet and when there was one employee who washed their hand and checked their hair/ face, they did not even bother to wipe down the sinks. Not their job? Well, it sure should not be a guest's job. Service was for sure their weakest point during our visit. It took almost an hour for my party and I to get our meal. The sad part? They ran out of "seasoned" fries when we arrived. I guess they couldn't just season it? And at around 8pm, they ran out of chicken. So door were closed. I guess that's a good sign for FW because they're becoming a big hit in Vallejo! But they lacked reassuring their hAngry and patiently waiting customers. It was a pain to watch all the numbers on the tables and seeing everyone's expression. Will they return? Or nah? One particular observation I made was the manager, I believe, was not the one to address an issue a customer had regarding their order. Yet when a majority of the orders were almost being sent out, I observed him chatting it up with a group. I get it, you want to celebrate the amazing business but I am a firm believer in customers first and not being the one to personally address the problem happening, doesn't show that. Shoutout to the server who held it down with whatever that customer's issue was. Besides that, when our chicken finally came out, our order, Dragon, was swimming in its sauce. It was kind of nasty to eat. It looked like they dumped a bucket of the sauce into the tray... Peanut Butter was lacking it's glaze and Salt and Pepper was toooo salty. I couldn't believe the amount of flavors offered at this place! All the flavors I had were very good, but the wings I had were so cold! My grandmas wings were some of the best she ever had. I'm only giving this place 4 stars, instead of 5, due to the super cold wings we got. Yes, we did eat there so the drive home wasn't a factor. Ordered (via DoorDash) the Wings combo: Lemon & pepper (10 pieces) with regular fries and I opted for the honey mustard dipping sauce. On their menu the fries are noted as regular extra crispy fries. However the fries arrived not crispy at all, and disappointed it was cold and soggy. I think once they placed the cooked fries in the container (not properly ventilated it caused the fries to sog). The chicken wings were good size and cooked well but I feel it needed a tad more seasoning. I would probably try this place again. Glad to have fire wing in V town now. Went on Wednesday night and it was packed with people. There was a line to order which took about 15 mins. And another 15 mins for the wings. Ordered a combo that comes with 10 wings and you can pick 2 favors plus seasonal fries and a drink. Added another 5 pieces of wings for $4.89 We picked the buffalo, dragon and garlic favors. Personally I like the dragon the most. It has a kick of Asian sauce but not overpowering. I saw a poster that they have $0.7 wings on Monday and Thursday. They don't have the online order yet when I check their website. Hopefully will come soon so no more long waiting. Btw, restaurant is located between Ross and Marshall! Plenty of parking available. Gosh what does this place remind me off?????? Oh yeah- a better version of wingstop! Garlic noodles will always be my favorite pairing with lemon pepper wings. The garlic Parm is also pretty good. If crispy fries and really good to have beers. The wings are crispy, and a little bit in the oily side-was not properly drained. My partner in crime ordered the Jamaican jerk and Louisiana rub... It was not something he would recommend. The chicken came off pretty dry and needed the sauces to bring it together. Venue: Pretty open, communal and targeted for big groups or family. So excited to have a Fire Wings in Vallejo! Another great option in Gateway Plaza for locals to dine in or take out. Perfect for after a movie or to order to go after a long day. Still fairly new to the community, Fire Wings Vallejo is off to a great start toward becoming a city favorite. Since they are a chain, their menu is similar to the others in the area, however, the taste and care in preparation seems to exceed those of their counterparts in nearby cities. I have never had any issues with my orders at this location, especially with missing items (My husband and I have accrued numerous food credit from other locations because we always have items missing when we order take out. Whatever the Vallejo location is doing to ensure the orders are correct is working!). Wings are always fresh, well-sauced/seasoned, and crispy. My favorites include the Garlic Parmesan and Peanut Butter. Their garlic fries are also delicious (I'm a big fan of garlic if you can't tell). This Fire Wings location is clean, modern and spacious. Their setup inside the restaurant is nice. Wings can get messy to eat and I am notorious for using up a lot of napkins! They have a row of sinks outside that are easily accessible for diners to wash their hands. Best part of their set up! During all of my experiences visiting this location, the customer service has always been fantastic. Staff is always friendly, patient, and welcoming. My last visit I placed an online order to pick up later on in the day. They were running a little behind when I arrived for pick up, so the girls at the register said they would throw a few extra wings to compensate me for my time. Well they were only 4 minutes behind from my pick up time and they gave me 15 extra wings. Whhhhaaat?! So awesome. We had leftovers for two more meals! The only area of improvement I have would be for a faster turn around time between ordering and receiving the food. Fire Wings offers great Family Meal Combos. We ordered the 40 Pc meal combo, which includes 2 large sides. We chose chicken bone-in 4 flavors-teriyaki, 2 lemon peppers, and classic buffalo. My family loved their lemon pepper flavored wings. I personally did not like the lemon one because it is dry and had so much pepper. The important thing is that my Dad and kids loved it. We ordered garlic fries and garlic noodles as out large side dishes. The fries were super garlicky, which was great. However the garlic noodles disappointed me. The noodles had an "instant top ramen" like texture and taste. I am not a fan of instant noodles. But I know most people love to eat Filipino "Lucky Me" or "Cup of Noodles". At around 4:30-5:40 a girl (my receipt says Valeria) took my order and seemed like she wanted to speed through my order getting my flavors wrong, there was 2 people in our party and she completely ignored the others claiming we said we were done ordering, when actually she just wasn't paying attention. When I want some "hot wings" I order their Fire Wings, they are the spiciest flavor they have. I love spicy food and I really like the Peanut butter flavor too, so delicious with a bit of spice, the salt and pepper is okay too not my favorite though. Fire Wings isn't even worth any rating! on June 6, 2024 between the hours of 1 pm and 1:30. The waitress with the nose ring took My aunt's and my order. She was very standoffish and not very courteous. I asked her not put so much parmesan cheese on my garlic fries, she agreed but again her body language was giving off bad vibes. I don't know if it's because I'm African American, because when other nationalities come in, their service was different. I was respectful and kinds. After eating my food, I went to wash my hands and I overheard the waitress say, "Fuck You!" And I hope she hears me. I'm Livid! I love this place and so very happy they've opened in Vallejo! I first tried this in Concord and the experience was very misleading. I'm glad I didn't allow that experience to stop me from returning. I'm so pleased I gave the Vallejo location a try. The atmosphere is extremely clean and updated. Due to Covid they're only accepting online orders which is no big deal because I love technology. The customer service, even though it's brief is very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the 10 piece combo bone in, Cali rub is absolutely addicting with the sweet chili sauce. I normally order lemon pepper but it's something about that Cali rub! The garlic noodles are amazingly delicious to my soul!!! They may give crustaceans a run for their money lol the boneless wings were cooked perfectly, crispy and extremely saucy in spicy Korean and Fire wing sauces. The perfect example of take-out during a pandemic. At first we tried calling to see if they were open & to place an order. The music might have been too loud because nobody was answering the phone. So we decided to try ordering online. Much better! We were told when our order would be ready (27 minutes). After the short wait, I walked right in, showed my ID, and was out the door in 40 seconds flat! Even with the sparse group of people waiting for their orders, everyone was practicing social distancing. The tables were set up in mazes separating call-in/online orders from walk-in orders, and the floors were aptly marked. We ordered the family packs with the ever popular lemon pepper, salt & pepper, and buffalo stampede flavors. Although lemon pepper is my all time favorite, the other 2 were equally delicious! What I like about this place in comparison to Wing Stop is a more diverse variety of flavors from traditional to Asian fusion. Plus my lemon pepper wings aren't swimming around in all that grease. Wing Stop is still a good place to go if I get a craving for atomic wings, but the tipping point is the garlic noodles! So good We've been here a couple times before when they first opened and never had a bad experience. The ambiance has a very trendy feel and makes a great social spot to hang out with family/friends over delicious food or drinks while watching the game(s). My bfs coworkers hyped this place up and as wing lovers of course we had to stop by for a taste! We saw the Yelp reviews, saw the menu, and figured it was a good day for wings. We came in around 4pm. There wasn't anyone in line so we got attended very quickly. They took my order; I got lemon pepper and Buffalo (4 and 4 -asked for the buffalo to be extra crispy) and my bf got mango habanero and spicy Thai(5 and 5-Side note: he asked about spicy Thai and they offered him a small sample of it since he was unsure and he had never tried this flavor. It was super helpful in deciding what flavor to try). They estimated a 20 min wait so we ran a few errands near by as we waited. When our food was ready they sent us a text and we made our way back. We were super eager to get home because it smelled so good! We got home laid everything out and we were ready to dig in. We did notice for the amount of wings and fries we got, we were given only one little container of ranch each. It wasn't enough for the amount of food we got but it worked out. Overall, I LOVED my lemon pepper and Buffalo. Even though I think they mistakenly made the lemon pepper extra crispy when I wanted the Buffalo to be extra crispy and bf found his favorite wing flavor from their menu on the first try. I have had this place over fifty times and they have only ever messed up the chicken twice where someone burnt it. We arrived around 8ish and it wasn't that busy, but once we sat down, hella people started lining up. The inside is hella spacious with a nice mini bar located by the entrance. I like how wherever you sit, there's a view of a tv for mainly sports. The bathrooms are located in the back and secluded to single use only for extra privacy which I absolutely loved. There's only one touch screen fountain machine which I can see getting backed up considering how busy the place might get. Anyway on to the food and service. We ordered the 10 piece combo meal which comes with two flavors, one dipping sauce, seasoned or regular fries and a large drink for approx $14 (fair imo). Our flavors were peanut butter and the Cali rub with seasoned french fries. The peanut butter is a MUST try! Trust me.. it sounds hella weird to eat peanut butter flavored chicken, but it grew on me and it's probably one of my new favorites. (Shoutout to my gf for introducing me). It had a mild spice to it, but it wasn't too overwhelming. The Cali rub had a sweet bbq taste which I thought was also had a little kick to it. Fire Wings has been my go-to wing spot since I first tried it out at the Fairfield location. So when I found out that one was opening in Vallejo, I was super psyched! As expected, at 12:30pm they were already pretty busy due to the weekend lunch rush, plus the game and the promo they were running. The place was packed with a line to the door. Nonetheless, the service was great and my to-go order came out after a decent wait time. You could tell the kitchen and all the employees were hustlin! Got my usual Lemon Pepper and Louisiana Rub bone-in's, plus some tots and veggies on the side. Talk about cravings satisfied! Honestly in love with the fact that they opened a branch in Vallejo! Fire wings is one of my favorite wings place. They have so many different options ranging from normal, dry rub and fusion wings! My favorite wings are the fusion one. I love the Saigon Street wings mainly because you can really taste the fish sauce! I also like the classic lemon pepper wings! I felt like these were gourmet wings with the fresh parm cheese on top and garlic sauce they were tossed in.
