I just moved to Vallejo, this is the THIRD time I have been in here, and each time it is this same exact situation. The first time I went in to get dinner, it was pretty late and they were closing in 30 minutes so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and just figured because they were closing shortly they just didn't restock. So I told myself I'd give them a second chance. The second time, it was late, not AS LATE but it was bare bones again so I just looked thru the window and left without buying anything. I said to myself maybe its just at night time they run low and I need to come in the middle of the day. So I gave them a THIRD chance and it was the same scenario at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Friday. How is this place still in business? I was told there was no Mac and Cheese ready (clearly on the menu) and it would take 20 minutes to cook. I was also told there was no Jambalaya today because it "just wasn't made today", no other reason given, even though it's a menu item as well. Their chicken is so delicious. I love everything about this place. I'm so glad there's so many locations nearby. Their biscuits are really good, sometimes you get unlucky with the really hard ones but the inside is still soft and buttery. If you're a big fan of raising canes sauce, this place's original sauce is almost similar to it. I've been to both location several times and the chicken was ready to serve only once. When the chicken is ready they stuff the chicken in multiple small boxes and bags. We literally had Popeyes last night (which really isn't a comparison!) and went for some Baskin Robin's tonight, saw Krispy Krunchy chicken across the street and wanted a rematch on my fried chicken. The chicken strips here are juicy and more chicken than breading, just perfect in every way. This was like my mom's chicken, meat that you didn't question.
