Maybe this place just isn't my slice of pie! I appreciate the true Italian style pizza and honestly in my book, no pizza is "bad" I love pizza! All styles all types! Walking in it's confusing where to go, what to do...we found the counter where you order then they bring your food out to you. As another Yelper said they definitely "did not give me the warm n fuzzies"...the girl cashier was sweet but beyond that, the guys were not friendly or warm at all...actually the first guy that brought our pizza literally threw it down on our table and walked away. Next thing is dang this pizza is expensive! We got one lg pizza, order of wings, and a drink and I think spent around $50! Too much,especially for how casual this place is! When the food came, the pizza reminded me of V's pizza, thin wood fired crust, which is expected because they also have one of those fancy Italian ovens here...but idk it just wasn't that good!? In my opinion V's pizza is amazing, everything is the highest quality ingredients which is why I don't mind paying extra but this pizza was just lacking, the spicy sausage was not spicy at all! I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited to write this review and welcome FU Fired Up Pizza to the Murray Hill neighborhood! I met up with one of my favorite Elite Yeeps, Leah H. to catch up over dinner, since it's been what seems like ages. I'm loving the modern design, the full bar and fun concept of FU, with my favorite decorative items being the life size Deadpool statues by the drink station. The menu board on the wall is ginormous and there's a lot to take in, but the staff were very patient, informative, and accommodating, answering all questions without a hitch. I'm a white pizza fan through and through and I didn't hesitate to order the "15" Bianca, drizzled with pesto and balsamic. Shyitttttt, Leah H. And I tore this pizza UP. Not too much garlic, and the drizzle of sauces alone will have you reaching for another slice....then another. She ordered the "10" cheese pizza with red sauce and yeah, you'd think we were a couple of Kevin McCallisters from Home Alone the way we were excited over this pizza. Not too much cheese, not heavy handed with the sauce...just right. When we were through, there were just a couple slices left, yet we didn't leave feeling like a couple of heifers out in the pasture because the crust wasn't overly thick. That's what I love about thin crust pizza. Neither pie was greasy, in my opinion, they were both just right. NOW........ive read the reviews and saw that some were dissatisfied with the crust, it was like a wet noodle, wasn't crispy enough, etc. I didn't mind that our crusts weren't crispy from beginning to end. It definitely wasn't a "wet noodle" experience, however, if I wanted a pizza that felt like it was on a Triscuit cracker, I'd go to the store and buy a Totino's. That's how I feel. Oh I'll be back. Whether it's for more of that pizza or because I'm a sucker for a good pastrami sandwich, I'll definitely be back. Tried FU PIZZA that was co-joined with Larry Subs. You have to enter from the back of the restaurant so it can be a little confusing. You walk in, order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Drinks can be ordered at the full bar. We had the state fair cheese curds, bushmaster oven roasted island wings (jerk sauce on the side) and a 14" Rock meat lovers pizza with the spicy sausage. The cheese curds were okay. The wings were good. Glad we asked for the sauce on the side bc it's kind of sweet. The pizza wasn't bad. It's not the best pizza but not the worst. We were curious if the oven was going to be used and it was. It's a little pricey for such a casual environment. Overall, glad we tried it since we're literally 5 minutes away from this location but in my opinion, there are too many other options for Amazing pizza at the same price. read more

Went to Fired Up Pizza today. Nice place which was bright and clean. Bar and patio especially nice. Pizza was true Napoletana with 00 flour and oven imported from the finest wood fired oven builder in Naples, Italy. Was able to sub cow milk mozzarella for mozzarella di buffala. I went to FU Fired Up Pizza for the first time today with a friend. We were excited to check out this new concept in Murray Hill. The wings were absolutely out of this world! I got the Peruvian wings, which were sweet and had the perfect amount of lemon pepper. They were AMAZING! They were so good, that I thought about picking up an extra order for dinner later that evening!! We also ordered a Stromboli with spicy sausage! It was baked perfectly, in the 1000 degree oven. It was flavorful and tasted fresh! I cannot rave enough about how great the staff was. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The staff was patient, thorough and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Larry himself was there, working along side his staff, and interacting with the customers. I love the atmosphere and family feel of the staff. The layout is impressive and modern. There is an inside and outside bar area with lots of tvs. I will defiantly check this place out on game days! Our first visit and we went Fired Up Pizza. Well. Moonriver Pizza down the street has nothing to worry about regarding competition with their Pizza's. My wife and I VERY MUCH liked the layout. Outside seating. It's a sports bar atmosphere with lots of tv's. Clean and friendly staff. If you like "V" Pizza, you will like Fired Up. My wife and I don't like "V" pizza. The pizza was done on the outside (bottom and outer crust) yet not cooked throughout. So it dropped like a wet noodle. I've been to NYC and have had many fired oven pizza's and they don't have to be wimpy. Also less sauce and more cheese would have been an improvement. This was a 15" pizza 1/2 pepperoni and half mushroom for $19.00. Add two soft drinks and it totaled $24.80. So regarding the pizza. We will pass. Also. They have a full bar and I had a craving for a Bloody Mary. $8.00 plus the buck tip. Smallest Bloody Mary I've ever had and someone needs to uncork the vodka bottle, I don't think it was open. The next visit will be to the Larry's Sub side. Hopefully they offer toasting their subs in the fired up oven, that would be a big bonus (hint). Will update the review then. read more

We were on our way to Hawkers for lunch when we rode by and saw this place. Intrigued by the Larry's Giant Subs / FU Pizza combo, we made the stop. Boy am I glad we did. My husband and I got the Diavola pizza and my daughter got the Stromboli. Man! If you like Neopolitan style pizza, this is Riversides go to. Comparable (and slightly better) to V pizza. I do think the Diavola would be much better with Calabrian peppers on the pizza, like Antico in Atlanta, Georgia does. I hope this gem spreads to Orange Park, Middleburg, or even Fleming Island. As for Moon River pizza being right down the road, the two styles of pizza are incomparable. Both equally good in their own right. If you're debating on whether to stop here or not, make the stop. It pains me to give this rating because I think the food is decent and affordable but I've never felt more unsafe in a restaurant since COVID started than picking up a to-go order there yesterday. Maybe 5% of the customers wore a mask, I was sandwiched between two people without masks in line , one of which tipped the cashier to remove her mask - which she did! I saw one employee out of nine that was wearing their mask properly, the rest either had it hanging off their ear or with their nose exposed. Despite placing the order online and showing up 5 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready, I ended up waiting ten minutes in this covid incubator. Many reviews described it as a wet noodle and that is very accurate. The sauce was very watery and the cheese was very... clumped? All the toppings and cheese fell off with one bite. Silverware may have helped but there was none, and some people have huge objections to using a fork to eat pizza! The toppings were so bland, I was shocked. They seemed fresh but everything lacked flavor. Overall, quite a let down, especially for the price. The staff was friendly and there's a private parking lot. If I return, it'll be just for Larry's (they share the place btw!) Update- it looks like an employee is sending rude notes to those who write less than stellar reviews of this place. I'll admit at first I was confused with the concept: half FU pizza half Larry's giant subs sharing the same space. Also a nice bar with outside seating and a small Patio. Pizza was cooked in a wood fired oven and has a open Kitchen so you can see them toss the dough and make your pie. The wait wasn't too long considering that it was their first day. The pizza was delicious with a very thin crust and I would say it's a knife and fork kind of pizza. The only thing I would say I didn't like as much was the drink, it tasted a little too heavy on the bitters for me so it was a little difficult to finish. We had a large group descend on FU Pizza in the afternoon after a vigorous axe throwing session a few doors down. At a time when businesses are understaffed and service often poor as a result, it was a pleasure to be met with first rate, friendly service. Our servers were non-plussed by our group and need of separate checks. They were friendly and efficient. I was surprised by how quickly we all got our orders.
