Mega pizza was on my way feom Job #1 to Job #2 very convenient. The dining area was massive and I was greeted with a smile feom the owner or his wife. I knew what a wanted,. 2 slices of pizza to go. When I tell you the pizza were MEGA, they were MEGA in size, no punt intended. Hot and delicious and I had to fold the pizza to eat it. I added some garlic powder and off I went. We finally decided to eat in here. It's a little mom and pop shop within a plaza. We've ordered pizza from here and it was delicious and so we finally decided to come in and eat. You order first, then sit and eat. We ordered jalapeño poppers, buffalo chicken calzone, and veggie calzone with sausage. The waitstaff was on top of it, topping our drinks and checking on us. The jalapeño poppers tasted like others I've had. Although more stuffed with cheese. And served with their red sauce. The calzone!!!! Delicious Full of veggies and sausage. My husband and I were on our way to Miami to take a cruise. When we were in Jacksonville, we decided to stop at Mega's Pizzeria. What a surprise, we had the BEST pizza! The service was great. The Pizza at this "restaurant" is TERRIBLE!! The whole place looks like it's not even open for business from the outside. It's a fairly large space; but it feels like you're in someone's basement. There's NO signage on any of the 3 wide window walls. The people seem nice; but they should pay attention to the way the place looks. The food here is amazing!! My son broke his leg and asked if I would go to Mega's and get him a slice. I stopped by and they offered the special of the day, 2 slices of cheese pizza and a coke for $7.99. I ordered at the counter to go but they have a nice restaurant clean and nicely decorated. The Lady at the counter (the owner I believe) said you will be back. She was right I went back the next day for another slice for my son and I and mom also. The restaurant staff got a kick out of my quick return and we all shared a laugh. Before the weeks end I went back to order a family meal as now company had arrived!! We ordered Lasagna w side salad Manicotti w side salad Garden Salad Steak Wrap Fries Garlic knots and a Couple more slices Everything was delicious, lasagna was made a little differently than I would make and it was great. The prices were a little bit expensive for a small pizza place, about 15 a sandwich.. at that price I was expecting a sandwich packed with meat.. but not the case.. the bread is so big, and the meat is not proportional.. barely any steak in the cheesesteak sandwich and a lot of it was unchewable pieces of fat.. I was hoping the chicken parm would be better but it was the same.. very little meat and lots of bread.. will not be going back here. read more

Been going here pretty much my entire life, literally. Known this family that owns it for year and years and they're the sweetest people. I'm not a huge food critic or anything but I love their food. Calzones are fire, Spaghetti is fire, Pizza is fire. Also they give you so much food, you most definitely get what you pay for. Also in my opinion it's very cheap for the quality of food. Lastly the family, just makes the environment feel very homey and gives a very comfortable feeling. Would definitely recommend. Also the desserts are very good. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Located in a strip mall with not much else going on, you'll never have trouble finding parking. I love the pizza and the spaghetti with meat sauce. The food is very consistent and the dining room is quiet in the evening. They do a great deal of delivery and most of the customers that dine in are regulars. When the hunger pains kick in, you know takeout pizza is the name of the game. Mega's Pizzeria popped up under Yelp food delivery from nearby restaurants, so the lady and I knew that our Friday night plans had been set. After scanning the ridiculously "mega" menu and not agreeing on one specific pizza, we decided to go all out and sample a little bit everything. In my opinion, the food items were a mixed bag. But I do commend the speedy delivery process and the portion to price ratio. By looking at our photos, you can see we had a primarily carb heavy meal. It's worth noting the dinner items (lasagna, chicken marsala, etc.) include a side salad with dressing and a loaf of bread. I appreciate the loaf of bread don't get me wrong, but it just wasn't doing it for either of us. Overall, I'd recommend the Pesto Cheese Bread with the sweet tomato marinara. The dinners were just A-OK to this Italian boy, but I preferred the Lasagna than the Chicken Marsala, as it was a little chewy. We split a slice, which was only $2, and we both thought it was one of the finer items we ate. It's hard to complain with leftovers for days, although I'm not sure if I'd dine at the restaurant based off this takeout order. As far as delivery is concerned, I'd much rather support a place like this than a chain. Up to you whether you want to give Mega's Pizzeria a shot! read more

Probably our new to go place when we get that craving for a pie. Either thin crust, NY style or neopolitan they got 'em all. We went in for lunch and heard about the amazing lunch specials they had which are usually some kind of pasta dish, salad and a drink for about 10 dollars, really good deal. We had our hearts set on a pizza so we got the Deluxe, ny style. This thing is loaded with toppings that I could only eat 2 slices. Leftovers were even better reheated. Moved here to Jacksonville last year from California Ive only found one good spot for food so far. But this place is definitely near the bottom out of all of them. 20 dollars for 2 slices of cheese pizza and 7 mozzarella sticks is insane. I've been here before a few months ago when I was on a job nearby. Their establishment is always clean and they have pretty good customer service. I like that I came in at 6:15pm and was still able to by pizza by the slice. For one slice, two toppings it came to a little over $3 after tax. Thin, not too greasy and a decent flavor. Hungry again at lunch so I opened the Slice app to see what I could get delivered quick. Don't judge me, I had a lot of work to do at my job. In browsing, I came across this place. Pizza was definitely out of the question so I checked through their non-pizza, non-bread items. The first thing I saw was the Housemade Meatballs. It was listed under the appetizer section so I figured that would be a good snack to start. Scrolling down some more I saw the salad section and while I didn't want to have a salad I figured it would balance the meatballs out and I'd get my daily serving of veggies. So that it wouldn't be blah, I chose the Antipasto Salad. Delivery was just $1 and they were only a few miles away. The app said it would take about 30-45 minutes to arrive but the delivery guy was here in less time. He was very friendly and polite which I don't find in many deliverers. The food? The meatballs were very good. You get about 5 good size ones swimming in a sea of marinara sauce and melted mozzerella. But the salad? I was not expecting what I got. A white standard-size folding box filled to the top, covered with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. It also included copious amounts of mushrooms and olives, something I always get when I ate pizza. Nothing was skimped on. I ate maybe a 1/3 of it and took the rest home for dinner. I've definitely found my little pizzeria. read more
