My husband dragged me here since I've never been and my expectations were mediocre. I figured it will be like a subway.... As soon as we entered we were greeted so nicely, the order process was quick and I ordered the Italian. It had plenty of meat, the meat was definitely higher quality than a subway and actually everything was. You can't compare them. I loved this place and it was super clean and friendly. read more

Made 2 out of 3 sandwiches from my online order incorrectly but won't refund my money because they say that would be like giving away free food. I paid for the sandwiches so they are okay with stealing my money since they won't refund it unless I drive all the way back up there and show them the actual sandwiches with the receipt. Why would I call them about my order if nothing was wrong with it?? The order was printed out correctly on the receipt so why am I being inconvenienced over their mistake? The sandwich was dry on one side, soggy and wet on the other side, and super cold even though it was supposed to be hot. I will happily take my hard earned money somewhere where they actually make what you order and don't charge the customer for their own negligence and mistakes. read more

Ordered on the app. Used 8000 points and was still charged full price. The restaurant was busy so I waited. People came in and their orders were ready before mine. They ate their food and left. And I waited. 30 minutes later I canceled the order and left. Went back to the app and filed a complaint to have my money refunded and my points returned. Called the corporate number given twice and hung up on both times. Finely called my bank to have my funds returned to my account. To this day I haven't heard from anyone at firehouse. Ambiance was a train wreck. Love the hook and ladder and I hope they can do better. read more

I have been disappointed the last few times I've ordered subs...the quality is not what it used to be! When I ordered fully loaded I expect to get that and not a few sprigs of lettuce & onion etc. I feel like it may just be the Anderson location that is so disappointing, very sad!! read more

The male taking orders just stood there looking at me like I was dumb when I was waiting on him to ask me for my order. 2 other cooks (i guess) stood there as well, not welcoming at all. There was a girl back there too, seemed like she was doing To Go orders, so when she called my name i walked up. She handed me my food and i said "Thank you". Nothing. "Have a good day". My partner and I went to this location around 7:30 on a Monday night. They informed us that they were short staffed and not taking dine-in customers anymore, but we decided to order to-go. As we sat down at a dirty table (because that's all there was in the establishment) to wait for our food, four members of the staff were cleaning, taking out trash, etc. and only one person was behind the counter taking orders and making sandwiches. The man behind the counter also had to keep unlocking the door to let customers in. We waited about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We got home, and my sandwich that I ordered with no mayo had what seemed to be extra mayo, and no barbecue sauce. My partners sandwich, which was supposed to include mayo and mustard, was dry. I understand being short staffed. I understand doing what you need to do to get your job done, but employees that are too distracted with other things to make orders correctly is exhausting, especially for $15 a meal. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday night. We were the only customers. We had to tell the lady taking our order what we wanted on our sandwiches several times. Keeping in mind, we were the only customers, we had to wait 10+ minutes for 2 sandwiches. One reason I like Firehouse is because you get more meat than bread.... usually. But not tonight. I've been here (and to other locations) before, and I'll definitely be back. 3 of us walked in for a late-ish lunch and were immediately greeted with a friendly "Welcome to Firehouse!" My first impression is that the store is very clean, has employees who want to be there, and smells *delicious*! We each order our subs, grab some chips (nice selection) and head for the "blend your own" soft drink machine. This thing is cool. I love getting to make my own concoction. They even have a good selection of "sugar-free" choices in the machine. Of course, if you aren't feeling that adventurous, you can always opt for the tea (sweet or unsweet) or the bottled drinks. Our subs came out quickly, and were brought to us by smiling, polite staffers. So. Much. Yum. I enjoyed the "New York Steamer". The meat was juicy and tender and the toppings were balanced. I also decided to try one of the (many) hot sauce choices on the counter. There are a couple dozen to choose from with heat from "1" to "9". Something for just about every taste. The sub was delicious, the service friendly and efficient, the store clean and shiny (even the bathroom!) - and with this chain, that is never a surprise. Even if you're leery of the "fast food sub", give this Firehouse Subs a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

First, this place is great, I loved my sub and it was much better than the available mediocre stock (e.g. Subway) My Mother, however, got some undercooked bacon, and instead of having them cook it further she ate it anyway and got a little sick, but she has some immune problems, if you're the same, watch the bacon. Do not buy from this restaurant if you are using Ubereats. Firehouse will not put anything but subs in your order - no chips, cookies, brownies that you ordered and paid for. This has happened twice. They say that this is the Uber driver's responsibility, but as we know the driver is always different and may not know they have to review the order and select the side items at this restaurant when they do not have to at any other restaurant. WE have had no problems with Uber orders at any other restaurants in Anderson Also their website says they have curbside pickup, but they have chosen not to do this either. Ubereats will credit you for missing items; but the bottom line is you don't get what you ordered. It should be the restaurant's responsibility to give the Uberdriver the entire order. read more

Really love this place. Staff has always been friendly when there. Have over 100,000 reward points so I guess that tells you something. But I will agree that the meat portions seem to have been getting smaller. Lot more bread than meat, but price still same. Hope they get this straightened out. It's a little pricey if they're gonna start cutting down on amount of meat. read more

Today customer service was deplorable at best. My fiance went up to place his order, as the employee behind the counter started to laugh out loud uncontrollably. As many customers witness my fiance ask if something was funny and was there a problem;the employee stated " YEAH...YOU LOOK FUNNY".
