I've been eating here for two year and it never disappoint at all. Tom and Lala are awesome people and every time I come in they make me feel welcome. I don't feel like I'm coming in to just another restaurant when I walk in. Now, the food "MY GOODNESS " always on point never disappoints and it feels like it's getting better each time. And I'm the type of person if the service is good and the food is good you'll be seeing me around more. This used to be a 5 star location. Unfortunately the service has declined. I've visited 3 times in the past two months. Each time hoping the last visit was just a fluke. The staff seems nice, but all 3 visits they didn't seem to have what they needed to do their jobs properly. My last two visits I was greeted with...Just so you know, we're out of a lot of ingredients. I asked Can you make an Italian? Yes, but we don't have tomatoes. I said that's fine. With no doubt this is probably the best location in broward and dade county. Everytime I go there the stuff are always in a good mood and they move fassssssst ! The place is always clean ,r I am in and out . The manager Tommy is the best of best !! that is a hard working fella , so if you go ask for Tommy he is always there usually in the early afternoon. I had been to Firehouse subs once before in North FL and it was good. So while visiting Hallendale Beach area I was looking for a spot to get some decent "quick" food. I was glad I stopped in. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with "Welcome to firehouse subs". The girl at the register was friendly and eager to help. I order a small Cheese Steak on white bread my only regret is not getting the medium. It was so good I'll be looking out for a firehouse sub during my travels. Check it out you won't be disappointed. I manage a surgery center in the area and often maintain recurring orders for physician lunches. I recently switched over to firehouse and we've been extremely pleased. The box lunches include a sandwich, cookie and chips. Their deliveries are timely and they stuff the deli meat into their subs. Do you know how hard it was for me to find a good meatball sub? Because Subways sure doesn't know how to make one. Firehouse's meatball sub isn't good. It's freaking great. It's made fresh, it's hot and steamy, and it looks and tastes incredible. So much care goes into it. The other sub I've had was the Philly cheese, and that's actually pretty good too. But I'm sorry, my love is the meatball sub, and it's one their most popular one for a reason. You have to try it. It really sucks because the Firehouse subs closest to me is about to shut down, and I REALLY hope this one doesn't shut down either. I found local sub shop on yelp that said it was open Sunday when we got there it was closed. Then we passed Firehouse so we ran in to pick up subs. I cannot eat deli meat because I am pregnant so I asked fora veggie or more like that make me a cheese sandwich. All I asked for was mayo, lettuce, and pickles. I decided once I ran back to the car in the rain just to check the order you never know they could give you someone else and you get home and guess what is goes in the garbage. My family and I have been coming here for a while. The subs are great, definitely better than other places around (loooove the turkey bacon ranch). It's usually pretty clean and the staff is friendly. The only issue I had was the new manager was nasty! She has an attitude like she wants to fight the customers. Not to mention her language.. This location was terrible. It took like half hour to get our food only for 3 out of 4 sandwiches and the salad to be wrong. I was excited to visit this location once I found out there was one near my house... For years I have always ordered the New York steamer with banana peppers. There's nothing particularly wrong with this sub shop. Every time I've been here the service was good. The Steamer and the BBQ Brisket sandwiches are, in my humble opinion, the two best options on the menu. The quality is a notch above Subway, the hot sauce selection is nice, and I respect the homage paid to fire fighters. This is not a deli. Its a fast-food chain that competes with Subway, Quiznos, and perhaps Jimmy Johns. So the quality comparison to a gormet deli-made sandwich with ultra fresh ingredients is an unfair comparison. That being said, I think there's still room for improvement. Overall, 3 stars means this place is "just okay". A decent spot to grab a quick lunch. Thomas and another guy were the only guys working last Saturday afternoon. They were totally on point! Besides the delicious food their service was awesome. My wife and I were in Miami from Fort Myers,for some unpleasant purposes and we were tired and mentally exhausted All I had on me was $100 dollar bill. At first Thomas let me know that he couldn't accept that large bill. Then he was lIke "hold on" and reached into his wallet and gave me change! Amazing! I got the veggie sub with grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms, 3 kinds of cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and mustard (I think that's all they put on it, anyway). Like many of the other reviewers, I have always enjoyed the subs at Fire house. I probably eat at this location and the one in Weston, at least 3 times a week. I like to try different subs and have enjoyed them all. One of my favorites is the Hook and Ladder, it's so juicy, i love the way they steam the meats, I get it with no mayo and mustard and all the veggies. I was hesitant coming here because I have my 2 month old baby with me, and I was thinking about how I'm starving and it's a lot of work to get the whole stroller out just to run in and get a sandwich... so I made the decision to do it anyways and just take the car seat out! I've been going to Firehouse for as long as I can remember and have visited many throughout the states and NEVER have I been told that I had to pay EXTRA for a brownie when ordering a kid's combo! Apparently they will only include a rice krispis (by manager's orders). Cookies and brownies are at an extra charge. So if you want to get charged extra for that, then come to this establishment. Otherwise, I recommend you go to another one. They also took forever to give me my order. I had to wait 30 minutes to be exact! This is probably the worse firehouse out there! read more
