At 7:15, message received that order would arrive at 8:05! Tried to cancel the order; however only able to receive the tip and delivery fees, some $14.04!! Are you kidding me!! Less than 50% of the total order; for wasting my time and money! I could have baked a loaf of bread and cooked a ham! NEVER AGAIN!! I really wish I didn't get orders for this establishment as a delivery driver, every time I come in here , the employees either ignore me or make inappropriate jokes about me under their breath because they think I can't hear them. Messed up the order was charged for 2 reg subs got one small and one reg. Stood in line for over 5 minutes for someone to help I was the only one waiting when I started then line increased almost to the door while I stood there. This firehouse is not up to par. Do not go during lunch it will take 20 minutes to get your sandwich. They are so slow they went ahead and took out half the tables so there is room for all the people standing and waiting. Poor management! read more

I went here on a Sunday afternoon, restaurant was clean, food was great. Negatives were the hot sauce varieties were lacking, normally they have 40 to 50 varieties, this location had 8 and four of them were rate 10/10 on the hot scale, seemed like an oversight from management. Not a huge deal but if that's what your known I should expect a better variety. Very over staffed, 8 employees in the store and 2 customers. Staff was acting up, throwing things, on their phones, filling up drinks and drinking cokes in the service area behind the counter. One employee made a reference to keeping it cold so the customers wouldn't stay long. When I left I looked at the thermostat since it was next to the cash register. It was set on 61 degrees. I feel like the management is not doing their job. Hot sauce not stocked, staff acting up, cold environment and overflowing garbage cans. This store is in a great location and has room to be very successful but it falls on the shoulders of good management. read more

Comparing to PennStation and Jimmy Johns which are all nearby this is the best out of the 3. Loaded with meat. Hot subs are perfectly toasted and the meat and cheese melt perfectly together. They can make any into a salad. You can add pretty much any veggie to the salad at no charge. Yum!!! read more

Well I should have known better after walking into Firehouse Subs on Indian Lake at 2 pm to find it filthy on first impression. Everything from food to mud all over the floors. If this was noon I could excuse it better. But the lunch over sometime ago and only two tables occupied with a total of three guests when I walked in. No reason it's not cleaner. The young guy taking my order was inaudible speaking so low behind a mask. His ears must not work well either as he gave me a wheat bread sandwich instead of the white bread I asked for. Then their signature drink cherry limeade was out. Sandwich (steak n cheese) was mostly peppers and onions with very little meat. Plus I hate wheat bread. Entire meal sucked. I haven't been here in several months and it will be longer than that before I go back to this location. read more

Stopped in today, a Tuesday, at lunchtime. After waiting for someone to wait on me for about 5 minutes, someone approached and asked, "Can I help you?" I began to order, but he cut me off and said, "So you know, there's a 25 to 30 minute wait." Meanwhile, it didn't appear that there was any "hustle" happening among the employees. Was so disappointed in fire house subs! Just moved to the area and I haven't been to a fire house in years... Used to be our favorite sub place. Ordered sandwiches to go. When we got home, we realized the bread was stale and after toasting, very hard. My son's sandwich actually had a hair in it. This review hurts me to write. I believe that Firehouse has the best subs but my experience tonight was unacceptable. Since Crumb opened next door, the parking lot is always packed but thought it wasn't busy and I was looking forward to the smokehouse brisket sub. I walked in and was greeted as usual and asked, "are you here for a pickup order? I answered I needed to order. I stood at the register for several minutes (up to 5 maybe) while 4 people made sandwiches. No one looked my way or said, "we will be with you shortly" It was if I was invisible. Someone walked in after me and they still didn't approach the register so I turned to the guy behind me and said, "good luck with getting waited on" and then I walked out. Located in the shops at Indian Lake, I've never been to one, but Firehouse comes highly recommended. When you walk in there's a great hot sauce bottle collection at the counter. That's really cool, I've not seen that and I looked thru all the bottles until my sandwich arrived. I like variety and this had lots of options from A1 to habanero based options, nice, very nice. They also rank them in order of heat 1-10, 10 being the hottest so that helps to take the guess work out of it. Offering this is a great idea and one that allows you to customize your sub and allows you to change it up every time if you'd like. I got the Italian, plenty of meat and fresh veggies. Overall, a very tasty sub. The staff were all friendly and professional. I'll be back again soon. read more

Talking about top of the line customer service, I was blown away! I literally haven't been in one in awhile because I had a bad experience, but on my lunch I decides to give this different location a shot and I'm glad I did. Though they weren't busy, I was immediately greeted by the team with enthusiasm. The guy realized I hadn't been in many times and walked me through the entire menu. The staff was fun, conversational, and really didn't mind helping. Everybody just seemed happy and to be having a good day. After my order, they educated me in the different sauces I was thumbing through.. Giving me advice.. Sharing stories.. It was fun! I got my food.. Amazing... Great serving.. Hot.. An employee even checked in on me whine I was eating.. These guys definitely rectified the bad experience at the other location. Great experience for sure. Thanks guys! Ordered two subs, they arrived with none of the toppings requested. Both the tuna and turkey sub were just meat and bread not even mayo or the veg I asked for. Hard to imagine getting a turkey hoagie on a roll with nothing else on it at all. This is my second experience with this chain. First was worse but in another state. ordered: 12" italian no mayo. the tomatoes are flavorless mush. the italian dressing was some sort of concoction that had a ton of sugar and dijon/mustard seed. it overpowered the entire sandwhich. i could not taste anything else. the bread is sub par, the pickel was limp and slimy, and the cost was rather high for the forgettable experience. the place reminds of of quiznos. and why would you put a chip rack right smack dab in the middle of the walkway? being cramped like that as i was trying to figure out what i wanted... made me feel out of place and uncomfortable. if you want great food for ten bucks, go to qdoba a block down the road. read more

My first time here had an Alice in Wonderland feel. The medium drink was huge, the straws were too short, and the sub looked tiny. It was 8 inches, but skinnier than most. And cheaper. Decent sandwich shop located near a few parks and the mall. Their food consist of steamed sandwiches. If you are looking for toasted subs there are none here. They do have a small selection of cold sandwiches but it is not a very vast menu. Went there today, and it took 30 minutes to be two sandwiches! I could have had a steak dinner for as long as that took. Saw other unhappy people getting upset about how long they were taking. It's a sandwich, why in the world should I have to wait 30 minutes??? Talked to three people about it, including the manager and all just said they were understaffed. Been there twice now. Italian is good. Steak and cheese is good, but needs double the meat. Service is pretty good, not as fast as other sub shops, but that is ok as the food is twice as good. My husband and I really like Firehouse Subs. We've been to the one on Thompson Lane and the one in Hermitage. Both have great food and service. We were super excited about getting one in Hendersonville. Granted it's only been open a few weeks. But, they are going to have to do better than the service we got last night. We walked in at 8:00 pm and ordered. There was one person who ordered before us and three that ordered after. 15 minutes later, we were literally the only people left in there and still had not received our food. There were four people behind the counter. It took everything I had not to get grumpy with them. And, they never said "sorry for the wait" or anything like that. If the place had been busy, I could understand. But, it wasn't. They also skimped on the sandwich in my opinion. Mine was all lettuce and bread and not at all the way the other locations do it. Hendersonville is a competitive sandwich market. We have Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, and Subway all within a mile of each other. If they want to take a share of that market, improvement needs to come sooner rather than later. read more

We usually enjoy this chain. First time at this location. Arrived at 7:45PM and finally got our food at 8:30, and the place was not busy. I ordered the steamer which is corned beef and pastrami. Was told they were out of pastrami, they could slice some for me but it would take an additional 20 minutes. They had 5 workers doing what I don't know. Everyone raves about how good this place is, so we decided to try it. Looked at the menu and decided to get the new sub with pulled pork and coleslaw, and of course they didn't have the supplies for it. So I settled on another sub. Overall both subs we got, Italian and Club were tasteless, soggy, and uninspired. We also got a kids meal and opted for the rice crispy treat, and got a very small 100 calorie package. Overall a very disappointing experience. Lastly, the chip rack is in a ridiculous location. I will not be back! read more
