Employees are rude, store is constantly filled with smoke (perhaps clean your nasty clogged ventilation system) Ordered a sandwich online and they made it incorrectly. No problem, I get that happens. Go to the register and tell them. Employee says "This is going to take a while, we are busy." HELLO!!! You screwed up my order. Have you heard the restaurant term "On the fly". Ordered 2 platters for a team meeting the following day. Selected pickup at 1145am. I got to the store at 12pm. They had no idea I had placed an order. After showing my confirmation a gal said to give her 10 mins and she'd have platters ready. 45 minutes later I'm waiting for sandwiches and very late for team meeting. This Firehouse Subs has really went down. The wait times are horrible. Waiting 20-30 minutes for a sub is ridiculous. I was able to eat my bag of chips and refill my drink twice before receiving my sub. If you're wondering, they were not very busy. I generally like Firehouse subs but this one was a strange experience. I am wondering who the young lady and gentleman are who are not working here that are behind the counter. The girl is wearing sandals with no socks behind the counter and is distracting other employees enough they completely forgot to make a customer's order. I walked into firehouse around 2:45 PM on a Saturday. There was one table of customers seated and nobody else in the restaurant. I walked up to the register to place my order. There's one girl on her phone and one girl mopping as I stand and patiently wait for a couple minutes for one of them to take my order. The one mopping told the one on her phone to get off the phone and help me. She didn't put down her phone, clocked out, and then said I'm off clock. The girl mopping then stopped and took my order as she was laughing. I don't know of anyone else that would think poor customer service was humorous. Get it together, firehouse employees, and step up your customer service game. Otherwise, you won't be in business for long. read more

You ever have a taste for something? That was me last week. I had to have the steak sandwich from Firehouse Subs. I placed my order. I asked for no cheese. I get home and my sandwich had cheese. Too tired to go back or call. Today I was determined to have my sandwich. I ordered before I left I asked the lady in the purple shirt who handed me my order if we could check my sandwich before I left. She turned to a gentleman who was preparing orders and asked if the sandwich had cheese. He looked confused another gentleman said he put cheese on both sandwiches. They began to mumble to each other. They all got busy filling orders. No one addressed me or apologized for the "mistake". After an additional 10 minutes she handed me my order with just a have a good day. Anyone can mistake, it's how you handle. So no not happy with Firehouse right not. I have ordered on line many times over the last year. However, I will not order ever again. Don't waste your money or your time. In the beginning, the food was great---but the last two times---my order was terrible when I received it. I ordered a hot sub---it was COLD. I ordered a Firehouse Salad Plain. It was not chopped as advertised---it also had hot peppers in it--which was NOT listed in the ingredients. This order was placed on June 8, 2020. I plan on calling them when they open tomorrow and just asking "what in the world happened to them??" ADVISE them to take down Josh R.'s review dated 5/16/12. Also, check out the other reviews. I've nothing but singing praise over how much better Firehouse Subs is than Subway is (not that this is saying much). I've had Lenny's and Jersey Mike's also, but when Firehouse Subs opened about a two miles from my home, I just had to give it a try. Verdict: pretty darn tasty. They specialize in cooked meat subs, and the prices are reasonable. So you've got as good as Jersey Mike's but not as expensive. That's a recipe for success if I've ever seen one. read more

This is an excellent sandwich shop. They have a great selection and I like how each sandwich comes with default toppings so I don't have to tell them (I'm lazy what can I say). They also have amazingly good salads which surprised me. I'm a big fan of spicy things also so I love their hot sauce selection. I really love how they have the rating scale for how hot it is so you can find your perfect temperature. The food is a little bit expensive for a sandwich place though. And I found their new drink machine to be disappointing. Nothing you can make from mix-and-match tastes as good as the real thing (like Coke+Cherry does not equal Cherry Coke). It still provides a good selection though. read more

The sub was flat , very tasty but I was highly disappointed that there wasn't hardly any verde sauce . You couldn't even taste any . I will probably try it again , if I'm not pleased a second time .. I've managed restaurants for almost 40 years so I study their operations whenever I go to another. Recently, I had the pleasure to have lunch at this location and found it most enjoyable! The food was fresh, the hospitality was spot on, and the mgr was engaging with his guest. The restaurant was very clean (yes, even the restrooms!) and everything sparkled. The value of the food purchased was very reasonable and the plate appearance was very appealing! When I come back to see my grand kid's, this is the place I'll go. This was a Perfectly acceptable firehouse sub location. Service is pretty friendly and fast orders come out quick. Ample parking. Like all firehouse subs they have a coke freestyle machine so you can get that Mello yellow with raspberry flavor you crave. (I kid, in reality I think these machines just slow down the line while folks figure out how to use them) food wise firehouse is like half Quiznos half subway. The subs are large and warm but not toasted. I like the pepper chicken sub on the light fare menu about 500 calories and still pretty filling. They also prepare a pretty solid salad. You will certainly be filled up by their full size options as they are generous with the meats. Alot of local sandwich places do a better meal in a similar price range. I would not drive past Phat Bites for Firehouse, but between here or subway this is usually your better option. read more

I haven't had a Firehouse this close to my home since I lived in Knoxville. Thankfully, nowadays I'm going to grab dinner and not to relieve a hangover (most of the time.) Anyway, we went in this past weekend, and I was very impressed. The employees were really nice (although saying, "Welcome to Firehouse" each time someone walked in the door would cause me to impale someone with a jar of banana peppers.) We got our food to-go and even after the 10-minute drive home, I still had to wait a little bit for my meatball sub to cool down so I could eat it. YUM. I've had a lot of meatballs in my life - like, so many it's not really ladylike - and I can say these are really well-seasoned and tasty as, well, something that you find really tasty. Reasonable prices and clean atmosphere make this a place I will frequent, ummm, frequently. read more

I came in Monday evening, while I was in here I heard yelling in the back between a tall light skin and a short white guy. Every now and then I get on a sub kick and when I do it's hard for me to choose between Jersey Mike's, Penn Station, and Firehouse, especially since all 3 are right down the street from me. I guess the only thing that really stands out for me about Firehouse compared to the other 2 is that they offer a lower calorie option of a smaller sandwich. Same great fresh, sliced on the spot, meats and cheeses (if you choose) but it's on a smaller round bun vs. a larger sub roll. And less meat and cheese, of course. Customer service has always been great and the prices are comparable to the other mentioned sub shops. The local fire station décor is pretty cool, too. read more

I really like firehouse subs, probably better than most of the other sub places out there. The have a good selection, hot and cold sandwiches and different sizes. I would have to say that Firehouse subs serves up pretty bland sandwiches. The turkey had very little taste to it and was on the mushy side. Not good. On a later second attempt, I tried the Ham and Turkey Sub Combo. Again, very bland . . .(didn't suffer, though, because there was very little meat in the sandwich . . . mostly bread and lettuce). The sub came with their version of a "Deli Dill" - a quarter sliver of a dill pickle and some chips ... pretty weak offerings. In the end, very corporate and soul-less stuff. Definitely a case of style over substance! read more

I can't say much either way. My mistake was going at there rush lunch time and not knowing there menu or method to order. I rush my choice and got pastrami. Not bad. But not great either. I'm not one for hot sauce and I have never seen so many hot sauce bottles to pick from. One day I will return, hopefully with someone who knows what is the sub to try. read more

So, I go back to give the place a second chance. I wait for my sandwich and when my name is called I collect it and return home. There, I found that I had been given another person's order. I call and speak w/Warren, he apologizes for the mistake and asks I return to correct. Warren was very friendly, and apologetic. He replaces my order with a large rather than the regular I ordered. Assuming personnel like he will remain, I will return to sending my students there. Food has always been savory, and, because of Warren, Firehouse has won back my business. read more

This was my first visit to Firehouse Subs and I must say it was a good one. It took me a while to look at the menu because there we're so many delicious looking subs to try. The cashier was friendly and pleasant and helped me decide on what to try. It was a little overpriced but absolutely delicious, so you get what you pay for. When I got to the drink station, I was very impressed with the fountain machine that offers over 120 flavors. I thought it was hard to decide on a sub but boy, it was a lot harder deciding on which flavors to try. :) Would recommend and visit again. read more

I've never had a bad experience in a Firehouse Sub Shop until today. When I got up to the register we exchanged a hello and then she literally walked away without a word to talk to an employee. She came back, I started talking again trying to order and then she did it again. Fianlly she comes back and actually pays attention to my order, all I wanted to get was an engineer sub, with no meat. Simple, easy. It becomes a delicious vegetarian swiss cheese mushroom sammich. At any other firehouse they have NO problem understanding this. She said the other Firehouse locations have no idea what they're doing. Just literally don't put any meat on it. No, she wanted to argue that it would just be a veggie sub. So that's what she rang it as. I got maybe 10-15 mushroom pieces, no swiss cheese, 70% shredded lettuce and a couple tomatoes. It was like eating 95% lettuce and bread, it was just sad. It took them 15 mins to make it even though there were more staff than customers present. In that time I listening to her push around/mock her staff like some kinda cranky sandwich overlord. Overall super negative vibes. I will not be spending money at this location again. read more

After listening to the radio advertisements (endlessly) me and my buddy decided to give 'em a whirl for lunch, I had the "hook n ladder" looked great, smelled great, awesome sized portion,reasonably priced. Then i bit into the nastiest saltiest sammy i've EVER eaten, OMG i could have eaten a salt lick and chased it with seawater and that wouldnt be as salty as that samwich,It literally took 2 days to get the salt taste out of my mouth. What I don't get is, at noon this place is efficient and accurate. At 6pm it's terrible. At noon a busy order takes 5 minutes. At 6, with few customers it takes 10 minutes. I've had orders called out and then rung up wrong. When I get a Go order with 2 sandwiches, the paper is supposed to have #1 and 2. That would be a good thing...if you did your job. Your food is better than other sandwich places if you can just get it where it goes. My patience is thin from repeated errors. Maybe better, if there is a next time. read more
