    Sauce station is back

I had a very positive experience at this particular Firehouse Subs. They were very friendly and helpful when I entered and ordered. The food was very tasty. And while I took my food to-go, the interior was clean and I appreciated the firehouse theme For old firehouse lovers, you'll appreciate that the hot sauces are back. After being removed due to Covid restrictions, their variety of mild to extremely hot hot sauces are back at their hot sauce station Some tips: I will always be a major advocate for the New York Steamer. It's their best signature sandwich in my opinion. Keep an eye out for Name Day deals. On these days, which ever names are picked for this day can receive BOGO subs. Also, if you have made a purchase in the app within a calendar year and you are a member of their rewards program you can get a free regular sub on your birthday Cheers!!

For my first time here, I ordered the seasonal turkey and stuffing sandwich. The inside was smaller than I expected and a little hard to move around it but the pickup process was problem free. The sandwich itself was delicious, the only thing I would change is the bread. The bread is good in general however for the sandwich a ciabatta would have made more sense. I do recommend tho!

Two different sizes for same item ordered... "bowl' soup

Not sure my recent review posted, just in case... first time here today. Please check your order before you walk out, reconsider tipping ahead of time also, before you get at least one piece of evidence of complete service. I paid for two "bowls" of soup (see receipt below) but realized at home I had been given what looked like one cup and separately a half cup (two different sizes; see photo). The sub order was also the wrong bread. I wish I had the extra hour to take from work and trying to get family dinner to return to deal with it. But I don't. Like you won't.

Just meh. This was my first and last visit to Firehouse Subs. Atmosphere - Pretty unique. I like the firehouse decor. Food - A fairly good selection of sandwiches is available and some even have firehouse-themed names like "the hook and ladder". Orders are freshly made and can be customized. There are even light lighter options on the menu which is always nice to see on a menu. Taste - Disappointing. I ordered the lite chicken salad sandwich. It looked appetizing but totally lacked flavor. When the tomato slices are the most flavorful ingredient on a sandwich you know there's a problem. Value - A bit pricey. My chicken salad sandwich was smaller than a Subway 6" and it was over $6! That price didn't even include chips or a drink. There are simply better sandwich options around.

I love a good sandwich and saw this place on Yelp with 4 stars so decided to check it out. Decor and feel of the place is laid back and cheery and the staff was very friendly and polite. For 5-7 dollars you get a 8 inch sub and can order from their "hot specialty sub" menu or from the more conventional options like turkey, veggie, tuna etc. There is also a foot-long option but I didn't catch how much more it would cost. Breads come toasted with an option of honey wheat or white. We ordered the hook & ladder sub (honey ham, turkey, melted monterey jack, veggies. mayo) and the smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket sub (with onions and jalapenos) on white as per our cashier's recommendations. They arrived quickly but I was underwhelmed as the photos of the sandwiches make them seem larger than they actually are. The hook & ladder was tasty but not anything amazing; I could eat something comparable at Which Which for slightly cheaper. The smokehouse beef & cheddar was packed with lots of meat and I was expecting a hearty BBQ style brisket sandwich, but instead, the meat was more of a lunch meat with a drizzle with BBQ sauce. It was still tasty, just not what I was expecting out of a sandwich advertised as a "brisket" sandwich. The best aspect of both sandwiches was the white bread - toasted on the outside with good pull and texture. Overall, it's comparable to places like Which Which, albeit with more character, better service, and very tasty bread. I wish I could give it 4 stars instead of just 3, but the food wasn't unique or memorable enough to merit a 4 star rating. I would return if I were looking for a quick lunch in the area.

This was a quick pop in during an off peak time, late on a Saturday afternoon. We weren't planning on stopping in this area at all, but traffic leaving the hospital was horrendous and we had a long way to go. We just wanted something to tide us over until we could have a late dinner with the family. When we entered, we were the only customers, which made sense due to the time of day. There were several people working behind the counter, but only one person at the register and he greeted us in a friendly manner. We each ordered one small sandwich and no drink, since we had them in the car and we were making this quick. The employee offered free water cups at the end though, so that was cool. The food came out pretty quickly, which I guess was expected since the place was empty, but it speaks to a certain amount of efficiency. I got a small roast beef, fully involved except for the onions. My husband got the Italian and my dad got the Engineer. All three of us were really satisfied with the food! We were in full agreement that it hit the spot and everything tasted really good! This chain uses good quality ingredients from the meat to the bread to the veggies, and that was reflected at this location. We were able to get back on the road quickly and the same employee thanked us as we left. The overall visit was very good. Just a few minor suggestions for this location. The overall vibe was a little weird and I think it was coming from some of the employees. This does not apply to the gentleman who helped us, but some of the employees seemed to be in a sour mood. Also, some of the tables hadn't been cleaned yet and only one other customer came in while we were there. To be clear, the store was NOT dirty, this was the normal amount of trash from a crowd. Also, none of the employees were rude to us. It's just that customer perception is important in this industry. Not using your time wisely before the dinner rush and not realizing customers can see you, even if you are behind the counter are normal lessons a young staff learns. This does not make it a bad place to visit, seriously, not at all, we enjoyed our food. It's just that this can make the difference between a 4 star and 5 star experience. That and the fact that the fire extinguisher behind my dad wasn't up to code and hadn't been inspected since January. Come on guys, you're Firehouse Subs, get a working fire extinguisher!

My partner wanted to grab lunch here so we tried for the first time this place. We got a simple sandwich and elote which the staff said it should take 15-20 mins. Switching her words back and forth and not believing what we had said. I asked how did we grab our stuff if I still have the device to notify when our food is ready. - Third she completely stopped talking to us and went to go help at other customers. I told her we want our money back and she said, "well I'm not going to refund for the drinks you had". Ma'am, that's not how you run a business. Just admit you messed up and take ownership of your mistakes to help a customer out. - Fourth she mentioned that other tickets have been lost today and other foods have been stolen before. This just shows how disorganized this placed is. We were able to ask for our money back but it was a battle about it. So when I decided to give Angelo Z's a try, I came in hopeful but ready to judge with the precision of a seasoned shrimp connoisseur. First, I'll give credit where it's due: the place is designed beautifully. Clean, inviting, well thought-out décor. The staff? Top-notch. Friendly smiles, fast service -- the kind of welcome that makes you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile. But then my shrimp po'boy arrived. And that's where things took a turn. The bread was toasted -- yes, toasted -- which, for a Louisiana po'boy, is already a red flag. To make matters worse, it wasn't even the traditional French bread that's light, airy inside, and has that delicate crackle on the crust. Instead, it was a dense, over-toasted loaf that crunched like I was chewing on a roofing shingle. Then came the real deal-breaker: I bit in and realized the shrimp hadn't been deveined. At all. And for anyone who knows seafood, that black line running down the back isn't some "seasoning" -- it's grit and waste. One glance at that and my appetite clocked out. I understand I'm not in Louisiana anymore, and I'm all for creative spins on classics, but there's a line between "putting your own twist" on something and missing the fundamentals altogether. Unfortunately, this missed the mark in a way I couldn't overlook. Beautiful space. Wonderful people. But for me? A shrimp po'boy that isn't deveined, on the wrong bread, and toasted into oblivion isn't a po'boy worth coming back for.

I was going to go with just two stars because the tiny location and general lack of parking around lunch time make it a bit miserable to visit, but I had to give them a third star after my wife's family went there for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed being able to leave the nearby Starbucks and grab a bite to eat in proper chairs.
