10/10. Why have I never been here? I ordered the Jamaican jerk "medium" sub meal & I was a bit sad because there was not one ounce of Jamaican seasonings on the turkey or sprinkled in the sandwich. With that being said, it was amazingly fresh & tasty but it could have just been called a turkey sub lol. The service was great & the manager was so freaking helpful. I loved the hot sauce bar they had but sad that the chaloula was nowhere to be found! Parking was a bit hectic as it is a verrrrry tight and shared lot. read more

A friendly smiling staff. I had ordered 5 subs online before driving for 12 mins. The order wasn't ready but they were quick and accurate with it. Ample space to sit inside. Love how kids meal comes with a fire chief hat. The only thing that didn't go well is their kids grilled cheese sub is literally 2 slices of bread with 2 slices of cheese making the sandwich super dry for kid to eat and bread is also really thick for it to quickly become chewy. read more

This place is garbage, even for a chain. I thought the bread would be the worst part, spongey, as though it had not only been frozen, but refrozen, spongey and gross. Cold cuts were the worst, bland and devoid of texture. Honestly, I have no idea how any of these locations are still open, with what they charge for... Whatever that was. I love this place and I love how the staff take the time to make your meals exceptionally delicious, this is one of my favorite places to go for a Sub, everything is always up to temperature and fresh, if just passing by or hungry for something different, stop in and give this place a try, great food and great service read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I arrived at the restaurant just after Noon on a Tuesday and there was one guy sitting there eating a sandwich. That's it. I walked up to the empty register and waited a good 3 minutes for Courtney to decide to walk out of the back room and take my order with an attitude. Not fault you work here Courtney. I ordered ONE sandwich to go. That's it. No sides, nothing else. I waited, and I waited, and I waited. There were 2 guys working on the line and they literally spent the next 25 minutes making Door Dash orders. I get it, that it can be a busy time around Noon for take out and delivery, but for God's sake, MAKE WALK IN CUSTOMERS YOUR PRIORITY. I literally watched at least 4 DoorDash orders get picked up and go out the door before they decided to make my one sandwich. I was literally there for over a half hour waiting. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE FIREHOUSE! When I left, there were 5 other customers sitting at various tables waiting on their sandwiches too. Just so bad. To top it off, when I got my sandwich home to eat it, it had SO MUCH sauce on it that it was almost inedible. NEVER again. Never. Such a shame as this used to be one of my very favorite sandwich shops (when I lived in Virginia). Fire the whole damn staff and start over. read more

Firehouse subs is a chain restaurant with a cause. They help out local fire departments by giving a portion of their sales back to those departments. The interior of the room is decorated in definite firehouse scene with a local firehouse and local fire engine mural on the wall, as well as other fire things hanging on the walls to let people know. I like to come here because not only is the food good but the cause is good as well. I ordered a club sandwich, was about seven or 8 inches long. I ordered it what they call fully involved, which is mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles on white bread with turkey and ham and Monterey Jack cheese. It is warmed up, but not as a full sandwich. The meat is warmed up separately and then put onto the sandwich and then wrapped. For sides they offer a number of different things like chips, cookie, brownie,mac & cheese, chili, soup or side salad, but I didn't get any of those today. the sandwich was good. It was hot. It was juicy and it was well-made. While the gentleman that greeted me at the register was nice. He walked past me a couple times first before he actually came to take my order. In addition, the dining room is usually pretty dirty and messy, which doesn't make it great answer for a place to sit. I took mine to go so, didn't have to deal with that today. I would still recommend it for the food and cause. It is a little more expensive, but I assume that is because they have added something on top of their costs to help with their fire house donations. read more

The food is good although it would be better if my order was actually correct. I usually order a club on a sub. The past 3-4 times my order has been wrong and that includes stuff missing such as my bacon, which is literally part of the sub, not even an added thing. Always good when I come here. The customer service is great! It's a lady in the front that always does a great job on informing the customers what the best options are. I got the Jamaican Jerk Turkey. Delicious! Very meaty. Always clean inside of the restaurant. But then again I always go on Sunday after my meeting. read more

Came here tonight followed 5 other people in at 8:10 pm while in line, two of the staff were loudly complaining about the customers presence and their desire to go home and their dislike of the restaurant. The other staff member was taking orders without complaining. The exterior light on the sign was out so the store was not visible at night when I came for dinner. I didn't stay to place my order. I dont want to eat food prepared by disgruntled employees. Firehouse you have a good business get new management in this store please! The reviews are all correct. I don't write many reviews, but I couldn't help myself on this one. The parking lot is filled with trash, the floor was dirty at 10:45 am and no customers were inside. The employee didn't bother to greet me to say anything. I approached to order , what can I get you or how can I help, just stared at the counter until I said are you ready. He looked annoyed that I even asked and said waiting on you. 2nd employee making my food was just as rude. This place is horrible. read more

Visited store today. Placed my order and everything was fine. Then an employee, probably shift supervisor came out from the back speaking loudly to other staff members, making it known that my order did not sit right with her. Ordered a meatball, with lettuce and asked that the bun not get toasted. I asked what the problem is, she stated that is not how we do things here. I order this sandwich the same way at other Firehouse locations. And it is no different than going to subway, ordering a sub and not heating the bread , since the meatballs are heated. I like the veggies to be cold vs heated up as well as the cheese. Mean While there another customer came in and her order was wrong from evening before. She had called, however while there was told that in the future she is to drive back from home with the incorrect order the same night so to obtain a replacement. That customer left, and employee followed her out trying to get her attention. Was apparent that customer had enough of the same abuse. Sadly if they get rid of this problem employee or mgmt that allows such behavior, they will just go on to another business and destroy their customer base as well. I will never go back to this location ever no matter what. I do not expect a free meal or refund. Very problematic mgmt style. The other staff members were nice. read more

I want to say that I have been to many Firehouse Subs locations in multiple states. This was my first visit to the Beech Grove location. This location is in a strip mall next to a Sherwin Williams and an auto place. The location is a large size, but not as decorated as I've seen at other locations. I went inside and saw 3 employees behind the counter, I was the only customer in the place. I just want to start off and say they were out of white bread yet had 2 large boxes of wheat? I placed my order with the young kid at the register, and then one of the other guys started making the food. As I waited for my food to be ready, I noticed the unclean tables and floor. The manager went into the little room/office and disappeared. The kid at the register just stood there looking bored. He should have grabbed some cleaner and a towel and started wiping down the dirty tables. My food was ready so I grabbed my bag and left. Now, I love Firehouse Subs and I was so excited that I found this location. I can tell you that my Engineer sub was not that great, and the wheat bread was hard and tasted old. My husbands sandwich was less than great as well. He said they don't put any love into their sandwiches out here?? I said nope, not at all! Unfortunately, this was my first and last time visiting this location. It's so sad, but at this rate...I don't see this location lasting another year. read more

I love their food it's always been good and fresh!!! I pull up on a Friday at 8:40p.m. & says they are open until 9p.m. I walk in and the lady working says they aren't taking orders anymore! Seriously lacking customer service skills and representing the business in a positive light! It's unfortunate to see things seriously come to this when 2 other vehicles also pulled up after me and they lost business bc closing early without notification and lack there of signage!! Ate here earlier in the day today. 3 women working. 2 were friendly, the other was very vocal, and rude overall. Btw May want to inform the employee with the bug attitude that your app gives an option to not heat the sandwiches. As apparently she takes issue when someone wants it not heated as the "lettuce will wilt". Does Burger King Heat up their sandwiches with the lettuce on it? I just had yet another horrible Firehouse subs experience today, on 86th St, Indianapolis. As a small business, I was giving them an opportunity to redeem themselves. My bad. I will never, ever return to Firehouse. Net of it, it took OVER 30 min for 1 medium sub for lunch, and yet, there were only two customers in front, that had already ordered and were waiting. I had also just called the store to ask if they were busy and they were NOT, and it took less than 3 min to arrive. The worst part, they didn't even have the courtesy, the basic human respect to simply communicate to customers BEFORE they order, that they (excuse of the day) were running OVER a 30 min wait. Not complex. Not rocket science. I understand being short staffed and related, and that may or may not have been the case. That said, it's all the more reason to have a common courtesy to advise the customer BEFORE THE ORDER IS TAKEN AND COMMITTED, you will waste over 30 min of their time, and do they still want to order. Firehouse failed in this common courtesy and I wasted 30 min of my time. The food, of course, is no better than a basic Subway. What a waste. read more

This location on Emerson is so filthy! The floor was dirty and the soda machine had not been cleaned or given a new filter - the soda splattered in the cup and tasted gross. Other patrons noted too so I told the employee and he then changed the filter. When I got my sandwich, there was a hair on it. I took it back and the employee gave me a stank look. Ordered my food online for take out at 6:32pm and it was supposed to be ready by 6:50pm. I got there right around 6:52 and they said it would be 10-15 minutes and my order was up next. At 7:39 my boyfriend finally went up to counter and saw that the order had just been sitting behind the counter for who knows how long. When i got home and opened my order i realized that they gave me the completely wrong sandwich. I ordered a meatball sub on gluten free bread and i received an unknown sandwich on normal white bread. Tried to find somewhere to try and get money back but couldn't find anything, so if anyone knows how to do that, that'd be nice. read more

The food is really good but the employees are not. I came in last night and tried to pay $30 cash for my order and the rest ($2 and some change) on my card. The cashier messed it up and put $60 in the computer instead of $30. 2 other employees were trying to help and it took forever for the 3 of them to figure out how to refund and re ring the order. Finally 1 employee tried to refund me $29 instead of $30. At that point I was feeling very uncomfortable and I was really wanting to just get my $30 and get out of there but they got it figured out eventually. As I waited for the food it looked like other people were having issues too at the register. I don't think I'll be going back to that location again though. This was my first visit and I'm glad I finally made it over here. I ordered the spicy meatball sub and it came with a drink and potato chips. I didn't think the sub would actually be spicy as most sub sandwich shops advertise spicy, but just don't deliver. Well, this spicy meatball sub certainly delivered the tangy taste and I really enjoyed it. If you want extra heat, the restaurant offers several bottles of hot sauce from mild to oh my god, that is burning my tongue hot. I'm looking forward to trying some of those sauces on future visits. The service was okay and I agree with earlier posts that it could be better. It seemed as if we were bothering the staff by ordering food. read more
