If you know me, you know I am a VERY big, die-hard Subway girl -- so when my husband suggested we try Firehouse Subs for the first time, I'll be honest... I was fully prepared not to love it. I figured I'd stick with something simple just in case. Well... they proved me completely wrong. I ordered the Italian sub, thinking it was the safest choice if I ended up not being impressed -- and WOW. The flavors were bold, fresh, and blended so well together. Every bite had the perfect balance of meats, toppings, and seasoning. And the pickle on the side? That was truly the cherry on top. Such a small touch, but it pulled everything together perfectly. Aside from the food, the facility itself was very clean and welcoming. Customer service was also great! Since it was our first time, the lady at the counter was incredibly kind and patient. She gave us suggestions and even shared her top three favorite subs, which made the whole experience feel more personal and helped us feel confident in what we were ordering. Safe to say this first visit definitely won me over. I still love my Subway, but Firehouse has officially earned its spot in our rotation. Okay I see this place is known for their bad customer service. I'm at work and was going to order for me and a couple coworkers. This woman picked up and said "what!?" I said "hello?" She said "firehouse subs" I said "hello I'd like to order for pick up" she said "we don't do phone orders here at this service" very rudely. I said okay... and she then said sorry honey and hung up. National Meatball day is on Sunday, March 9, 2025 this year! Firehouse subs had a discount for their Meatball sub that was offered between Friday March 7 and Sunday, March 9. Firehouse Subs has one of the best meatball subs that I've ever had! This Firehouse Subs location is off of the 215/Charleston exit in a shopping plaza. There are plenty of parking spots. My husband and I took our sub order to go. I ended up ordering the meatball sub. It's made from ground beef and pork. It also has Parmesan and Romano cheese, bread crumbs that are toasted, and Italian Herbs. The sub is also topped with lots of Marinara sauce and tons of provolone cheese! The service was super quick. We didn't wait longer than 10 minutes for both of our subs. The sub stayed warm until we got back to our house. My meatball sub was delicious! It was quite filling too. I could only eat half of it! The melted provolone cheese with the marinara sauce and herbs was scrumptious! This is one of my favorite subs at Firehouse Subs. Probably the driest customer service I've experienced in a minute was greeted by one employee as we entered, but Jeffrey the green haired one completely turned away from us servicing whatever he was servicing didn't wanna turn around to acknowledge us then after some time, turned around sauntered over to my boyfriend who initiated and said hello and he seemingly begrudgingly said "hey". I have been to three different firehouse subs in the last week because I like that oak ladder salad that I get the other two I went to were fine. They were great portions were good sized one is on rainbow, which is close to Patrick Lane rainbow Patrick and then I went to the one on North Durango, which is far in Durango. Those were great. Today I stopped in at the one at West Charleston. Terrible. There might be 2 tablespoons of meat on the whole salad. I will never go back to that location again. There was hardly anybody ever in their locations anymore. You would think they would try to be up the service and then at least give you the regular size portion. If I were to order the sandwich, I would have a lot more meat on that versus the salad you're paying $12 for that. read more

The bread is delicious, however, this location has messed up my order several times. And in reaching out to corporate, there is zero concern for any of the individual locations. This place is still a mess. Likely no corporate or franchisee oversight at this location. Stopped in to get a couple sandwiches as we were nearby. A foot long and medium sandwich combo is $34 dollars now. After looking at FTEP receipt I noticed I was charged $3.99 for a combo meal when the sign in front of me shows $2.99 for combo meal with chips. I ask about the discrepancy and they point to a smaller part of the menu on the wall behind the counter which shows $3.99. I advise the sign in front shows $2.99 and they say it must be outdated, remove it and later replace it with a $3.99 one. Go to use the restroom to wash our hands, which I would encourage everyone to do of course. Women's bathroom has a sign "out of service" and men's bathroom is locked. They see me waiting for the restroom and I have to ask if it's locked or someone in there. They say oh it's locked and have to get an employee to open the door. The employee unlocks the door and says lock it back up when done, I don't say anything as I'm entering the restroom and the employee mutters "or don't" as if I don't respond and was being rude. I tell the employee I heard what they said and I didn't need to acknowledge the comment. All the employees working could see the situation including the one who appeared to be a manager, none said anything. This place is far from las for Firehouse sub sandwich locations and hopefully someone does something about it to bring it back. read more

I only ordered 2 sandwiches & they managed to screw both of them up. When I got home and found the errors, I called 3 times nobody answered. So I drove up there calling on the way, right when I got to the corner of their place, they finally answered the phone Nicholas told me that his crew insisted they did the sandwiches correctly. I walked in, showed him my sandwich & that it had no dressing on it & was ordered with extra dressing. Nicholas grabbed the sandwich with his gloved hands that had been on the cash register tore my sandwich apart showed me the back of the meat where there was a little yellow dot & told me that's the dressing! I said well not only is that not enough dressing for regular a sandwich, but it's not extra dressing which is what I ordered, so then he told me he could get me dressing to go, I told him I wanted him to remake the sandwich, he refused, handed me the dressing in a cup & sent me on my way. There's a few things wrong with this 1 - the order shouldn't be wrong, 2 - I shouldn't have to call 3 times to get somebody to answer the phone, & 3 - customers shouldn't be treated like this! Nicholas was rude, didn't have an ounce of customer service in him, & as long as he's making sandwiches there I'm telling you to go somewhere else! I called corporate to filale a complaint, they refer you to their website. On their website I filed 4 times & all 4 times it told me, there was an error in submitting the complaint! A year later much has changed! Smiling helpful employees and the place is spotless. My club sandwich (with pickle!) was delicious. Nice to be back for another visit and looking forward to more. These were some of the best sandwiches I've had in awhile. Very flavorful and they do not skimp on the portions. The only down side was that they had a lot of phone orders and in person customers had to wait a long time to get their orders. The establishment was definitely understaffed. I have never had a bad experience at Firehouse subs, I used to be a frequent Subway, but after trying the sandwiches that Firehouse. Staff is friendly and makes sandwiches perfect. Business is always clean when I've been there and service is good. All different hunger sizes available, just don't get a small if you are any sort of hungry. That's just my opinion, too small. I don't know what happened to this place but it was absolutely disgustingly filthy. The floors were dirty the windows were dirty the tables were dirty... It was absolutely so disgusting that I would have just turned around and walked out however I ordered my food online ahead of time to pick up. I asked for a water cup and when I went to go fill it I just threw the cup away because the drink station was so gross. This location was very empty. It was not busy at all there was four or five people working and we still waiting a while to get our food. Which was good and made to order but I think the service could have been better and faster. I can understand if they are busy and backed up but there was literally no one in there when we were inside eating. I guess they didn't want to clean up any dishes or baskets because we were given to go boxes. The cleanliness was good it seemed they were keeping that part up keep well. This is the first Firehouse Subs I have ever been to. Hard to fathom, I know. But I did some research online and ordered the sweet and spicy meatball, which appears to be a semi-secret off-menu item. It was pretty good! Nice amount of spice and yummy melted cheese on top. However, this location's claim to fame, so to speak, and the reason why I went to this location specifically, is the soda machine (see pic). Very high-tech, but when I actually used it, I realized that they just have a bunch of flavored syrups which you can appropriately, or inappropriately, mix with your favorite soft drink. Some combinations are pretty gross, in my opinion. Who wants a vanilla-flavored Sprite? I appreciate that they have non-caffeinated, no-calorie sodas like Sprite Zero and Dasani Sensations. But keep in mind that if you add the flavored syrup, you will not have a diet drink anymore. Plus, it is hard to figure out what you are getting, if you are a drink nazi like me. For example, Dasani Sensations with Lemon - is that the no-calorie version or is it with the lemon syrup that has calories? Finally, people get enamored with the damn machine and stand in front of it, taking sips of every possible combination. They only have one machine so it gets super annoying. But enough about the drink machine. The cashier and food prep people were friendly, the food was good, I'll be back. read more
