Sauces had great flavors, but their 1 to 10 heat scale is pretty tame for those that regularly like to eat spicy foods. We tried all the ones they had for our first visit between two sandwiches: Spicy Cajun Chicken and Turkey Bacon Ranch. Favorite sauces for flavor were Backdraft Fire, Gator Hammock, and the Sizzlin' Scorpion. I've been ordering here for the past month through door dash and I am impressed with the quality of their sandwiches. I LOVE the garlic bread option which is something I look forward to every time. Ive been able to use the buy 1 get 1 free options allowing me to try -the hook and ladder sandwich ( my favorite) -Smoked Turkey breast sandwich -Honey ham sandwich They are all delicious options. My only complaint is the diced vegetables because it feels unproportioned and can sometimes look sloppy.....depending on who makes your sandwich, they can skimp out on the diced vegetables on your sandwich. Every sandwich comes with a pickle. The staff were professional and there's condiments and napkins in between drink station. Truly the Anime Expo/LA convention center secret spot to get food. No wait when we were there and there's plenty of seating. There's a code for the restroom but it was clean and well kept, big rarity and W in downtown LA especially with a huge event going on. The gentlemen working there were super helpful and friendly and got our order out very quickly. I got the Fire House Hero, medium. This is a roast beef sandwich with sliced smoked turkey breast and honey ham, melted provolone cheese, and light on mayonnaise and deli mustard. It comes with a pickle spear on the side and I got the combo with the Coke freestyle fountain drink and a bag of chips. Tasted divine after starving and walking around the entire day. Can't go wrong with a nicely sized toasted sub with melted cheese and plentiful amount of sliced meats. Went great with the light sauce and the pickle spear on the side added an extra crunch, sourness, and texture. I'm going to have to see if there's a location close to me since it supports our good ol' (Promare - jk) firefighters and they have an app with a loyalty program/point system. read more

10/21/2021 One of the few times I get to stop in here and I always get the Italian sub. I don't remember if they ask but my sandwich always comes hot. That wakes up some of the meats and brings out the flavors for a better bite. Many different subs as you can customize a sub too. I was set to leave 5 stars. I had T-Mobile free hook & ladder w a purchase offer. This is the closest one to me. It's hard to get to. I called and Raymond told me they validated parking in the joes lot next door. Cool. I go in and Raymond asked if it was me that had called. Love the cs! Raymond was super helpful in helping me place my order and get add ons. I did the celebration cookie and a cup of chili. I asked for lots of cheddar, layers of it. Used the restroom while I waited, happy to say it was clean and stocked. I got my food and went back to my car. I had no cookie O_O and my chili looked cheddarless. I went back downstairs and Raymond said I forgot my cookie. Well... lol. He more than made up for it by giving me 3! That's my kinda cs! I ordered the Hook & Ladder on wheat bread then added a drink/chip combo for an additional $2.99. You can choose whichever chip and drink you want and it's self-serve. The Hook & Ladder is the best sandwich I have had here to date. I could taste every ingredient individually, especially the bread & meat which both had a sweetness that stood out. It is next to the parking structure (sixt rental car) of the same building. Staff said that they can validate parking for 30 min. No need to worry about parking and walking long distance in downtown. I Always love the "engineer", and I tried the limited time prime rib steak. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating! I want to give them 10 stars! We ordered 3 subs to go. The order was ready in the time it said it would be. While it was hot and fresh, there was maybe 3-4oz of chicken if that much on the medium. The place is very clean from front to back. There were 3 staff working and a steady flow of guests. They got everything out in good time and you could see many of the guests have been there before. There was no personality or exceeding the guests needs. All the guests seemed to enjoy their sandwiches and left happy. I would definitely try it again but try a different sub. Ordered through Uber Eats tonight, and my husband and I were not disappointed! Our order: Firehouse Meatball Sub 5/5 - Delicious sub made with Italian meatballs, melted provolone, zesty marinara, and Italian seasonings! The meatballs were very juicy, bread was crispy and soft. I did however, ask for it to be on white bread and it came with wheat bread. In the end, it still was a delicious sub! Tuna Salad Sub 5/5 - Perfect mix of tuna, relish, mayo, heap of lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, black pepper, onions, deli mustard, and a pickle on the side! This by far was our favorite of the two subs! It was just so fresh, juicy, and I loved the crunch from the lettuce. The bread was also fresh and soft! Chili 3/5 - Chili came piping hot with onions, cheese, and beans. It wasn't bad at all. It reminded me of the chili you get at football games on your nachos. It definitely took me back to Friday night high school football games. Cookies 3/5 - We ordered a chocolate chip, oatmeal, and mint chocolate cheap. Each were just okay. This was my last and final hope for trying this place. It's a shame, because this business supports a great cause that I would have liked to contribute more towards. Went in today to order 3 Hook & Ladders. The staff is rude, disrespectful, and clearly don't appreciate having a job here. I ordered all the sandwiches without turkey and just substitute ham. She couldn't understand this and asked me three times what I meant, with attitude. When I received all of my sandwiches, they just threw them all lopsided in a bag (see photo) When I opened a sandwich up to see if they included cheese (there hasn't been cheese on my past 5 orders) there wasn't cheese. I asked Michelle where the cheese was and her response was "It's right there, that's the amount of cheese we give" I pointed to the advertisement where it clearly shows cheese cascading down the sandwich, and her response was "thats the amount of cheese we give. It is what it is." She was smirking and giggling with her fellow coworkers, as if I was her entertainment. Instead of solving a situation, she just pointed at the cheese and essentially told me to F OFF. Look, I'm not here to argue over CHEESE! I'm here for this business to acknowledge they don't add an item that people pay for. The cheese is a staple for this sandwich. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions (both sliced and sautéed), jalapeños, salami, pepperonis, ham, provolone cheese, mayo, and pick on the side. There were 4 other people behind us, all were wearing some kind of work uniform like construction etc. Asked for a manager and employee said he was one of the 3 total making sandwiches. I told employee that all these people and the 6 of us in my group, had to go back to work. No change. Never ate there before.
