I walked in just to order a drink, and I ordered a small. She said take the medium instead because it's so hot out. I went to go pay for my cup but my Debit card wasn't working, so she gave it to me for free.

I call this the "reverse soup nazi."

Straight Fire(house!) It wasn't until about a year ago that I first tried Firehouse Subs. I'm not much of a "sub" guy, so even though I love their product, this review may lack the screwball energy of my typical post. I had passed it several times on my way to/from the doctor's office next door, and when Firehouse appeared on my MileagePlus dining awards, it was time to give them a try. I got the meatball sub for me and one for my son and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The meatballs and sauce were tasty and the bread just hot and crispy enough. In terms of sub shops, Firehouse is tops, not just for the food, but the people working there are very friendly and I dig the concept - founded by firefighters, built with real American entrepreneurial spirit. It doesn't have that assembly line feel that other sub shops have. I never thought, with all of the different sub chains there are - Scrubway, Jersey Mike's, Quizhos, Jimmy Jawn's, etc. that we'd actually need another one - but when it's the best, we absolutely need it! We've not ventured out into any other type of sub at Firehouse yet as we're seemingly always in the mood for meatball when we go. I would love to try the Jamaican jerk turkey, but as someone who loves all foods Caribbean and vacations in Jamaica quite often, if the "Caribbean seasoning" on that sub can come anywhere close to the jerk sauce I get there, I'd be living in that restaurant! So it's out of fear that it may be either too inauthentic or way too good that I haven't tried it yet, but once I figure out the line between disappointment and obsession vis-à-vis submarine sandwiches, I'll give it a try :-) . I have also not tried any form of delivery or ordering ahead, thus my wholehearted recommendation for Firehouse Subs, specifically this location, is for the meatball subs, cookies, and the coca-cola freestyle machine, all of which we've purchased in-person and sometimes eating on premises, which is clean and inviting. And, of course, the really nice people working there is a strong plus when the food is good (but doesn't really matter when it isn't.)

    A hair in my brisket?!

Waited over 30 minutes for a sub?! Not coming back here any time soon. Disgusting. Served people first who ordered after me

The way they did the lettuce, tuna, tomato, and whatever sauce they use was really good and very flavorful. It's definitely better than Subway. The only issue was that parts of the bread were a little soggy. It wasn't the whole sandwich, just certain spots, so in a few places I avoided eating the bread and I ended up with a clump of soggy bread in my little hand. I did love that they put cheese on the top for part of it though and I thought the cheese they used really complimented the flavor of the tuna. I also think the cheese helped protect the bread from the moisture in the tuna salad so the cheese for me was nonnegotiable for ensuring the quality of the sub. If anything, adding a little more of that cheese and layering more of it so it fully protected the bread from the moisture in the tuna would have likely prevented the bread from getting soggy. Lightly toasting the bread first might have helped too. Other than that small issue, I was really impressed with this tuna sub. It smelled amazing too, honestly better than most tuna sandwiches I've had. I would definitely order it again.

I asked the guy at the register why they would put the dressing on it and leave it sit there, He was clueless, put the salad in a new bag and gave it back to me. So, now I get home to eat it and it is a total train wreck. Please dont put dressing on a salad in cardboard and let it sit for pick up.... seems common sense?
