1st time there, won't be back. I ordered a small Smoke house brisket, husband ordered a large Firehouse to go. Drove over 30 minutes to home and the small was barely 3.5 inches, not even a third of the large. I measured it 3.5 inches, and no cheese. The meat was miniscule. It also took over 20 minutes to get our sandwiches despite 7 people behind the counter. Restaurant not busy at all, seeing the reviews after, I now understand. The staff could be heard and the lady in charge was trying to get the others to learn how maybe to be efficient and had to inform them the one they were working on didnt need to be prepared for 30 minutes And yet we waited. Never been here and I had not heard of it. Really loved the place. Between 5 of us we got to try 5 different sandwiches and all were great. I would probably not order any meatball one again only because it was more difficult to eat, trying to keep that meatball in the bread. The way they do the sizing does make it easy for friends to order a handful of things and split them up. I do see some reviews about rude staff and that is unfortunate. I never been here before and as I come in to ask for the code to the restroom and they told me to make a purchase. Okay fine. I get it. When I called and complained, I was told that my information would be put on their computer, for two free sandwiches. This is my favorite sandwich/sub place; their bread is far better than anywhere else. Service can be slow at times when they're busy, but that's to be expected. I'm a creature of habit so I always order the turkey bacon ranch on white; never fails to satisfy. It's decorated like a firehouse; hence the name. About the only thing you can complain about is that if you don't eat the sandwich right away, they can get soggy. If you're not going to be able to eat the sandwich right away, I'd suggest ordering the sauce on the side. read more

About 5 mins go buy and a family of 6 walks in and orders- another 10 mins go buy and still I wait for my TWO subs. I finally decided to go up to counter and they ask me what I ordered! However the tables usually aren't the cleanest, seems like one bathroom is always closed for maintenance, and the fancy digital drink machines are infuriating.
