Very big disappointment. My wife and I ordered sandwiches from Firehouse last night. My wife's sandwich was supposed to be cold, but it was hot with bbq sauce on it(which was not ordered), and the mayonnaise was warm. My wife took one bite and said it tasted odd. The sandwich went in the garbage. My meatball sub was so covered with spices, and was not good. The place appeared dirty and the employees were very unfriendly. I'm 69 years old and on disability and DoorDash to supplement my income. Today, I had a pick up to deliver from the Medford Center Firehouse Subs. I asked the girl for the restroom code so I could relieve myself, and she said it's only for paying customers. I stated, "Are you kidding me? She said no. When my order was ready, I stated that I was a senior with a heart condition delivering their product to a paying customer. I stated I would not be back, and she said ok. Another customer spoke up, saying she agreed with me and walked out. Every time I've been in this store, the employees have been rude. I will gladly accept the ding on my acceptance rating from DD as I decline every order from now on. An advocate of mine called the store and spoke with the manager, who witnessed the situation. Being a firefighter I worked there for a total of one month before they fired me because I called the supervisor out on not doing his job. They push old lettuce that is in the cutting board back into the lettuce with mayo. Mustard and all. Never clean their cutting board or knives between sandwiches which is gross contamination. and I have personally witnessed the supervisor taking off old due dates on me and putting on new stickers this place needs to be shut down. A visit here today was tremendous disappointment. They were out of bread except for wheat bread. Low on chips. Soda machine was more water than flavor. The helper lacked knowledge about products. I went after a movie and to my dismay I was told they could not make my sandwich for at least 25 minutes due to the online orders. Why have a walk in restaurant next to a movie theatre if you can not give your walk in Clients service. You should always serve your walk in Clients first and have a separate area for your online order production. Your sandwiches are wonderful but I will no longer frequent this restaurant or recommend because of this. So sad this time. Ordered five large combo lunches and three of the five sandwiches were correct but the other two were not. No big deal on the wrong sandwiches, stuff happens. But what I had a problem with is it took 10 minutes to get the correct sandwiches out to us while sandwiches were were being served to other customers. The correct action would have been to make our sandwiches a priority ahead of new orders. My coworkers that received the correct sandwiches were almost finished with their lunch when the other two were finally served. This was the worst experience here today! We took our granddaughter to see the lion king and where she wanted to go and eat dinner! We went to firehouse subs! Granddaughter and I finished our dinner before my husband even got his! And even then my husband only got half of his order!! When I went in to get something to wrap my husband's sub and to ask about the rest of his order! All I got was a piece of paper to wrap his sub! And a thank you! Come again! They didn't care that they didn't completely fill my husbands order but he paid for more than he got! When I asked for the manager! They are not friendly or helpful inside the store. Had a reward and he couldn't even help me get it qith my order. I have been there 4 times and they have gotten my order wrong 2 times like so wrong it only came with meat and cheese!! Call to tell them and the manager says it may have come up different at the store .... Um wierd because the recipe taked to the bag was 100 percent correct!!! Today we decided to hit Firehouse Subs in the Medford Center Medford Oregon. There was only one girl working and she was slammed but, 20 minutes later we had our dinner. It was hot excellently made and she was so friendly and nice even though she was stressed to the Max. The manager needs to give this young lady a raise. Food was decent for the price, lunch for under $10. Nothing too special though, most of their flavor comes from their sauces and bread, meat was bland. Smaller serving sizes than most places but still enough for a meal. A tasty new sandwich option in town! Nice new store with a new, energy buzz. TV screens, artwork, brightly lit. Friendly staff. I had a brisket and cheddar sandwich. The brisket was tender and tasty. I had jalapeños, olives and mushrooms added. The bread had good chew and good flavor. The sandwich blended well and was delicious. I got a large and it was huge. I planned on saving half. I didn't. My wife got an Engineer with turkey, mushrooms, cheese etc. She loved it and couldn't stop raving. They are about 1 minute from home and I am certain we'll be back. Probably weekly. read more

This was my first time here and probably my LAST. I ordered the hot smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket sub online said it would be ready in 15min. I walked in on the dot it said it would be ready. And it wasn't; said it'll be ready in a little. I noticed they were really trying to keep their composures because I wasn't the only customer who was waiting on a pickup that took longer than expected. I said okay I tried to ease their mind by telling one of them "I had specific instructions placed so no need to rush on my order again NO RUSH" Even though I hate waiting after told it would be ready in a certain amount of time but what I hate more is getting my order wrong and messy. I felt so bad for these kids, whole time I'm thinking okay even though times been delayed at least I'll have a delicious sub to go home with. I didn't walk out of that place until 30min after I got there. Before I left I peeked into my sandwich , first thing I noticed my sandwich was not hot , noticed my "specific instructions" wasn't in there anddddd my sandwich looked like it was stepped on then handed to me. This was a recommendation by a client, as it was a brand new location. I've been trying to eat healthier lately, so I ordered the salad...at a sub location. Don't judge :). You'd be surprised how tasty the salad was and how many calories you'll save by not eating bread. The staff warmly welcomed everyone that walked in the door. Also, they had a host or manager walking around the floor asking how the meal was and if they could get anything else for us. Have you been to Firehouse Subs located in Medford at The Village right next to the Tinseltown theater? It's pretty cool to have a sandwich shop that has a firehouse theme. The walls are decorated with fire fighting tools and clothing. There are four large television screens mounted on various walls. Most of them are broadcasting college football games but one of the televisions is tuned to a food channel. The employees speak in coded language like real firefighters do. That's a nice touch. But let's get to the food! I ordered a meatball sub because that's my favorite kind of sub regardless of where I am. The meatballs are big and they are perfectly seasoned in the traditional Italian way. The bread is soft and pliable. I think they use authentic Italian bread. It reminded me of garlic bread actually. Then, the sandwich is topped with marinara sauce and provolone cheese. So what's the verdict? I used to think Subway was the best sandwich shop in town. Well, I was wrong. It's clear that that Firehouse uses better ingredients. Plus, they have neat little fireman hats for people to wear. I love the firehouse theme. The restaurant has everything except a fire pole which would have been awesome! But there probably would have been some liability issues lol. I recommend Firehouse Subs to everyone. I learned the restaurant was founded by actual firefighters based out of Jacksonville Florida in 1994. Today there are more than 1000 restaurants in about 40 states. There are already some existing Firehouse Subs franchises up state in the Salem and Portland areas. Medford is finally experiencing a culinarily Renaissance and frankly it's about time. I hope some day Medford becomes renowned for its world class dining. As I sit here enjoying my sandwich I'm watching a college football game on one of their many televisions mounted on the restaurant's walls. I can't do that at Subway. Also the place is packed. I don't usually see too many people at Subway. I think it's great that I can eat delicious food and support the fire department at the same time. Tinseltown is definitely a more attractive theater these days. I can choose Baja Fresh or Firehouse Subs. White City has Taco Bell and McDonald's. La Dee frickin dah! You know what? I'm going to take another sandwich home with me. I'm determined to try everything on their menu but it's still tough to decide what to start with, knowing that everything is going to be delicious. If it was physically possible I would order every sandwich Firehouse Subs makes and eat them all at the same time. I'm absolutely in love with the bread that Firehouse Subs uses. Its sweet and soft and yet lightly crisp. Every bite of this sandwich is pure Heaven. Firehouse Subs makes the best sandwiches hands down. The townspeople seem to know it too because the restaurant was completely packed at lunchtime. Oh, and when you go to Firehouse Subs be sure to try their signature drink, Firehouse Cherry Limeade. Service was so slow I had to walk out without my order today. I arrived with 5 people ahead of me in line. After placing my order I heard several people ask the woman who appeared to be the manager how much longer their food would be and they had all ordered before I even walked in. She was telling them they were "working on it". I waited for half an hour and the 5 people in front of me in line still hadn't gotten their food either so figured it was still going to be awhile. It was my lunch hour and I had to get back to work so gave my number back and walked out.
