I love Firehouse Subs! The sandwiches are amazing and their hot sauce is to die for. I was super excited that this one opened close to home. The Italian sub is my favorite. This Firehouse Sub is no different, it has great sandwiches and the workers are extremely friendly. I will *not* be returning to this firehouse subs though. While the workers here were friendly, the manager was not. Even after I found a plastic string in my sandwich the Manager wouldn't apologize or even admit that it was a plastic sting. The food is great the front of house workers (cashier and sandwich makers are amazing) However I took away a star because the manager here the woman is just a complete terror. Went in today with my service dog and she asked me to see his certification which I had so I showed her but she still had an attitude. Then she was being rude to her employees who were just doing their jobs. Telling people they're going to close in 40 minutes so she wants them to stop serving at 5:20 even though there was a line of people. After years of finally taking my order they take 30 minutes to make it and it comes out horrible, 1 chicken was cold, 2 the bread wasnt toasted after i requested extra toast , 3 the audacity to put a dill pickle in my box is outrageous. I have been waiting a long time for a Firehouse to open somewhere in my vicinity. Jersey Mike's is a favorite of mine but I actually like this more. They have better pricing, and more variety. At JM I order the same thing every time; at FH there are four different subs that I rotate. I've been coming frequently and haven't gotten sick of it yet. It also helps that they give a nice discount for vets. JM told me no when I asked them. The staff and ownership are great too. And aside from all of that, JM doesn't provide cool fireman helmets for the kiddos. If you haven't tried this yet you're blowing it. And definitely get the app for some sweet rewards. read more

Husband and I tried these subs for the first time. We loved it!!! We ordered the NY and the smokehouse BBQ w/brisket (I don't remember the correct names of the subs) they were Medium size subs. For the BBQ sub we left it how it is (which is w/o veggies) and the taste was amazing. My husband loved it. For the NY it as well comes plain so I added almost all the toppings and I completely loved my sub. I will definitely be back to bad it's too far away for me or else I would be a regular. My wife and/or I have been to the Menifee Firehouse Subs about a half dozen times since they opened. The service was great all but one of the visits. On the one that wasn't so great, we were pretty much ignored at the cash register while it appeared that a manager and employee were trying to figure out how to ring up a meal for an employee. On the same visit, there were apparently some problems with the soda machine, that had almost no buttons working. I asked an employee about it as she was walking by, but she just responded "we've been having problems with it all day" and she kept walking. She was not interested at all in assisting. Other than this one visit, the service through all other visits was great. I agree with many others who stated that the prices seem high and not a great value. The quality is definitely better than most other sandwich shops that are around, however even with that being the case the prices seemed very high for the size of sandwiches. I am sure they won't lower the prices, but hopefully they will wait a long time before raising any prices. I love that it is owned and operated by a local couple, who seem to be very involved in the community and active in their business! read more

I am so disappointed in the negative reviews I've read here. We came here very soon after it opened and were very happy to support it because of our love of First Responders. Love our Firemen!!! We'd do anything for them and would support them for sure. So we did! We've been back many times - lots of times! I nearly always order the same thing: the Italian Sub with pepperoncini's on the side!!! Love that sandwich. I once tried the Cajun Chicken, but for me, I found it too sweet. Hubby loves several sandwiches there and switches around. He does have a favorite, but neither of us can remember it now. When brand new, the service was outstanding - really super friendly and welcoming. It's dropped a little bit, but not enough to keep us away, I think the owner/s are no longer there much, so it tends to lose some coziness and warmth. But we'll be back again many times - after it opens inside again. The sandwiches can be messy-juicy, so we don't want to eat them in our car. OPEN SOON and we'll be there! So first time in this restaurant The prices are higher than most sub shops I asked the young lady which was better the cheese steak or the brisket She said they were both popular but she liked the smoked brisket better. I tired it a medium one about $9.50 ( I think ?) Anyway when I got out to the car to eat I was happy there was mayonnaise on the bread as the thinly sliced meat was DRY !!! Also the BBQ sauce was a little too much for me ( my fault should have told them go easy on the sauce) Glad I did not order the foot long !!!! Bread was good. I would have liked it better if there was more cheddar cheese and also the fat was trimmed off the meat. I'm an honest blogger/vlogger, I'm sticking with this restaurant because our bad experience was " outer limits" a horrible experience that lasted DAYS as the supposed "Manager" Lisa (which I've now come to understand is Valerie and NOT Lisa) texted me for HOURS after our berating incident with her. Her friends were leaving horrible PERSONAL digs at me via the avenue I'm using with compliments that were not compliments, but personal slander against me. Now I've encountered bad customer service, but this took on a life of its own. NEVER have I been so disrespected on a personal level as what was dished out by Lisa and some other lady (Now I believe it was Valerie) yelling at Lisa ON HER COMPANY PHONE, to "Hang up"!! WHILE OBVIOUSLY STANDING AT THE REGISTER CLEARLY IN FULL VIEW OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! When we in fact called in to order, Lisa was shouting at a customer (This is exactly what I heard before any of my torture began, yelling at a customer telling them "They were understaffed".......Look, this doesn't make me happy. I have a terminal illness and my time is PRECIOUS and I have much better things to do with my time. But right is right and wrong is wrong. I was not a fan at all and it just made me not excited when this place opened here in Menifee. ****HOWEVER**** Let me just tell you.. this is the 4th time I have been here and it is the BEST! The absolute Freshest food and sandwiches are outstanding! Not to mention service that is unheard of. It's important that I mention a few of the people that I have had a few times now who are just outstanding. I never give personal kudos but these people are more than employees. They should be trainers for Firehouse because I think they could really make a huge difference in your company. Saying that.. I got the Engineer sub and my husband got the Italian. The subs were really big and FULL! Mine had a pickle pear with it but my husband didnt get one- that's the only thing I would complain about, if anything lol! But over all the staff was fantastic, the place was clean and organized. I really wanted to like this place. The sandwich was fine. Not worth 12 bux. 2 inches on both sides at the end was meatless. I shouldn't have to rebuild my sandwich that I just overpaid for. The chili was decent, but as an addon for almost 5 bux. The restaurant was pretty clean considering it was fairly busy. I will admit, it is better than Subway, but, soggy socks on rye is better than subway. Over all almost $20 for lunch. Will I do it again? Naw, a sub certainly isn't worth that much dough. read more

First time in this location and my first impression was good when I walked in and it was very clean, the guy behind the counter Spencer has dispatching orders back to back, he's a hard worker. I noticed that because he took my order , made my food and dispatched it! The subs were bomb by the way Spencer, good job! I was a bit disappointed on the rest of the staff, the 3 girls that were there were just on the side congregating complaining about how their coworkers don't work and then they all go outside to hang out and leave the guy inside doing all the work while he has a line. He even had to go outside and tell them that he is busy and needs help. When they came inside they all rushed in and yell at the guy about what was inside a cooker and he told them that it was the order and the asst. Lisa was absolutely rude and lacks customer service etiquette. My husband went in to get us sandwiches for lunch. When I opened mine I noticed there was nothing added to my sandwich that I wanted. When asked at the register "is there anything you'd like to add" to save time, we always say "everything minus whatever I don't want". NEVER had a problem ordering this way before. When I called to explain the mistake on the order I can hear Lisa over the phone talking to whomever answered saying how this is was not true. She then got on the phone with me and I explained what was wrong with the order. She proceeded to explain that we need to specify what exactly we wanted. Mind you, there are so many things that can be added. I didn't know I needed to spell out all items. I'm sure "everything" should suffice when asked what I wanted to add. She had a rude attitude and kept talking loudly over me when I tried to mention we've never had an issue ordering the way we did. I couldn't even get that sentence out because she continued to speak over me. No apology was given & no responsibility for the actions were taken. Eventually I just had to hang up realizing this conversation with Lisa was going no where as she continued to speak over me. This is unfortunate because we love the subs. In today's era of labor shortages, I try and give businesses the benefit of the doubt. However, when my wife and I went into this Firehouse location, there were 3 things that had us leave without ordering. First, none of the employees were wearing masks, even though they were preparing food for the general public. Second, we waiting at the cash register, hoping to order for nearly 5 minutes. The person at the register was preoccupied with an online order and took no steps to ask for our patience or ask another employee to assist in taking our order. Basically for 5 minutes we were completely ignored. Third, and probably worst, the store has a giant Christmas card right next to the ordering area, which evidently was signed by a number of people. That sounds cool and uplifting but the ONLY signature you could read was one in huge bold (probably Sharpie) letters reading "Let's Go Brandon". Now everyone knows what this means, and it's terrible to be in a business that allows such blatant political speech in their location to be displayed for all their customers. Now, I'm no big fan of "Brandon" and frankly would feel equally ticked off if an equivalent phrase relating to our most recent ex-President was on display. In a day and age where EVERYTHING seems political, it's clear this location has chosen sides and is quite happy alienating potential customers. We came for food, but left with nothing. And we'll never be back. It's a shame really, because my in-laws live nearby and this has been their favorite take out food for the past couple of years. read more
