Neat vibe here. Great subs and choices. Always busy when we are at their Meridian location. Love that they give the kids a plastic fire helmet but so sad when it cracks and breaks minutes after we leave leaving my kid crying. Always a reason to go back. Yum!!!

First time and we ordered online... Yummm

We may have a new office fave after trying Firehouse Subs. I placed an online order today around 12:10 pm and it was ready for pickup when I arrived at 12:25. I found it very easy to place an order on their website. They have a large variety of sandwiches that can be customized, you can save your orders, save payment method, etc. They also have 3 different size options which I found to be rather helpful since a couple of us are light eaters but don't always like to order something to share. FYI... you can pick up online orders through their drive thru. I ordered a small white smoked turkey and found it to be the perfect size with a bag of chips a drink and a pickle spear. It reminded me of the turkey I used to get at Schlotzkys back in the day. Their meat is very thinly sliced just how I like it. I ordered my husband a medium Italian fully loaded and he as only able to finish half of it but on a normal day it would be the perfect size. We also found it to be very affordable as we only paid $23.53 for 3 different sandwiches, chips and drinks. This will definitely be a regular in our lunch rotation!

UPDATED REVIEW: Ordered through their drive thru and got a club on a sub and it's supposed to have bacon AND cheese. It came with neither of those things. The sub was so sloppy once I got home, the bun on the bottom was so soggy it was hard to eat. If I ever want firehouse, I'll probably be eating in the restaurant rather than drive thru just to make sure they get it eight Love firehouse subs! I've been going to firehouse since 2012 in Virginia and it's always been a fave! My ultimate favorite sandwich is the Beef and Cheddar Brisket!! It is the best. Not to mention they use the BEST mayo (DUKES!). My husband got the Firehouse Hero and it was seriously delicious. When I want a sub this is the place I go!

Italian sandwich, medium, with soda can for perspective.

I was hoping for something tastier than subway. Canned mushrooms and meat looked bubbly. Wish I had gone to five guys.

The employee who served us stated that it had been prepared that day and identified it as flounder. When we returned home, we shared the fish with our entire family, including a child. We ate only about one-third of it. By the next morning, everyone became ill, experiencing fever, chills, bloating, and diarrhea. We could not eat anything the following day except water and bananas. This was a very unpleasant experience, and we are concerned that the fish may have been expired, improperly stored, or undercooked. Upon closer inspection, the actual piece of fish appeared to be very small, while most of the surrounding coating had a grayish color and a spongy, sticky, and undercooked texture. It almost seemed as though additional filler had been used to increase the product's weight. The taste was not fresh at all, and it had an odor similar to an old fish tank. The fish seemed old and may have been stored in the freezer for an extended period of time. The surrounding substance resembled soggy breading or undercooked batter. Overall, something seemed very wrong with the product. Customers should be especially cautious when purchasing this type of food for their children. We had to throw the food away, resulting in a complete waste of money. This situation appears to have been caused by poor judgment or unprofessional handling of the product, which is very disappointing from a customer standpoint.

Ordering was quick, though with all the delicious options, it did take a long time to choose what to eat. I ended up trying the hot pastrami sandwich called the "Santana" and my friend ordered the Turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich. We splurged on fries. Lunch took about 10 minutes and in deli fashion, wrapped in butcher paper. I was smitten kitten after my first bite of the Santana; perfectly toasted marbled rye, creamy coleslaw that tasted freshly made (not too tangy, just a hint of pepper), slathered with thousand island dressing cradling a neat stack of perfectly trimmed hot pastrami. Every bite was downright perfection. Yes, I debated leaving half for later...but lost that internal debate. Fries were thick and battered, perfectly fried with a very nice fry sauce. Highly recommend getting the fries with any of the sandwiches. My friend's turkey sandwich looked crafted instead of made...with the shredded lettuce, crispy bacon, layers of turkey on the softest, hugest sandwich roll. She could stop at half but that sandwich was huge! Definitely worth every cent. I woke up the next morning wanting to go again that day...if that's not proof enough that this place is exceptional, I don't know what else is.

My Rooster's bomb had amazing flavors, the sandwich was dripping with juice while eating it. Service was good. Food presentation wasn't nice, just plain but it isn't a high end restaurant. There's a lot of tables and bar type seating at the window. I loved the country type decor and all the roosters everywhere. It's a really cute venue. If I had to describe this restaurant, I would compare it to a cafeteria. You place your order and everything from that point on is self serve. We placed our order at the front register. I got the 2 eggs combo with sausage. My husband got the ham breakfast sammy with sourdough. We grabbed a table and our drinks while our food was being worked on. They has one coffee dispenser for coffee. The coffee looked really dark so I added some hot water to it. Unfortunately, with the addition of the hot water, my coffee was still luke warm. It was drinkable but it would have been nice to have a hot cup of it. My husband grabbed his drink from the soda machine. All of the straws, coffee creamers and utensils were on the side to help yourself to. Food came out pretty fast. My eggs were fried nicely. The sausage was warm but not really hot. The hashbrowns were nicely golden but not really hot. They did give me a good portion of the country gravy. The only thing that was piping hot was the pancake syrup that I got for my sausage. My husband enjoyed his sammy. He did appreciate that the ham was sliced thin and it wasn't a huge chunk of ham. After you're done, they have you clear off your own plates, silverware and cups. Tipping throws me off at this point cause what are we tipping you for? They don't fill got drinks, remove any of your plates or even check up on you. It truly is like a cafeteria. I guess I had a different impression of this joint. I thought it would be like any other breakfast joint in town. Roosters is a easy going venue if you're looking for an easy place to eat at. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably won't be back.
