Going into FireHouse Subs, I noticed the enlighten decorum. Very bright and festive with its red and white trimmings. It spelled a good time. Being a new customer I ordered a "Steamer" on wheat sandwich loaf. It was tender, fresh and not overly salty as most corned beef sandwiches often presents itself to the palet. It was exquisite for my likings. The big complaint comes because, my son, took the second half of my sandwich when he saw what I had ordered, and proceeded to eat it over his own Turkey he had ordered. The second part of the review comes from my disappointment of not having completed a full steamer, and then finishing with my son's turkey half after he ate my steamer sandwich half. I then ate his Turkey half and was not disappointed with it at all. Full of toppings, a very good turkey sandwich even though I was psychologically suffering from my disappointment over losing out on the second half of my steamer, even though it was very tasty, and made my disappointment disappear quickly after my son's theft of my sandwich half. I will now have to make a special trip back to Meridian, ID Firehouse Subs (alone) to order and recover my lost half of Sub, and then top it off with a spiffy trip to the soda fountain of many selections. Firehouse Subs is new to our area so I tried it for the first time after watching from my car as a guy waved a huge sign. I decided to go in since it was nearly lunchtime. The space is brand new and adjacent to Five Guys and other small eateries there. It was clean and the employees were very welcoming. I chose the most popular sub---the Hook & Ladder--smoked turkey, Virginia honey ham, Monterey Jack with mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion with a Kosher dill pickle on the side. It was served on a toasted white roll. I ordered a medium--nine inches which was totally shareable and ample for both my husband and me. I also like that there are low calorie options listed. Since this business was founded by a couple of firefighters, they also have a foundation that contributes to firefighting organizations in the way of equipment and also scholarships. A very worthy cause besides getting a very delicious meal at a bargain price---$6.00! read more

As much as I used to love Firehouse, lately their customer service has been pretty bad. I don't know if they have new employees or just don't care or what but they have messed up 3 times in a row in the past month or so. I've only had issues at this specific location. They don't listen in the drive thru it seems like and when I clarify and they confirm my order yet they dont give me something I specifically asked for or will add something I asked to not include. They continue to put Mayo on my sandwich, ask me 3-4x what kind of bread I want, never give me a total at the screen, and then give me either regular coke or Dr Pepper when I ask for Diet Coke and repeat myself multiple times. I asked for a cookie one of times I went last and they tell me to "choose at the window" and when they mentioned oatmeal I chose that. What did they do? They put a chocolate chip in the bag instead. The last time I tried my soda to make sure it was diet And it wasn't the girl rolled my eyes when I asked for a replacement. It's been shocking to me and I'm a huge fan of Firehouse. I can go on and on about the stupid little mistakes they have been making and I don't know why I continue to go there expecting a different outcome. I'm not one to complain and haven't even wanted make the effort to call and ask for some type of comp but actually hope they get it together and hire people who give a damn and take pride in their work. Always a fabulous sandwich. Everything in the menu is a winner! And...they're extra friendly to boot.

Sandwiches are awesome, prices are fair, definitely better than subway! One of my new favorites!

This place is delicious! My hubby and I just went today for the first time and we thought it was great. Friendly staff and yummy sandwiches! They do not skimp on their meat on their sandwiches. Usually I get a medium sandwich at port of subs or which wich but I could have gotten a small because it was packed with meat. Same for my husband he usually gets a larger but he could have gotten a medium. The only sad thing was that they gave us a different brand of jalapeño chips then they had listed on their menu. They were 40% fat free, and they were not good. The chip thing wouldn't defer me from going again because it was amazing! read more

Great hot subs and fast friendly service! We have ate here twice and been pleased both times. Kids love the soda machine that literally has hundreds of options. Large subs are huge. Unless you are starving, you can get by with the medium. The Italian is my favorite and slightly different than other places (sweeter). Highly recommended. read more

Ordered a few subs to go and got home and the whole order was wrong. 1 out of six subs was right. There were subs in there that we didn't even order. Not sure why it's so hard to get things right. This has happened a couple of times now at this location. read more

First time trying firehouse and it was Way better then I expected. I had it delivered which was perfect. Will be eating there more often.

I was hoping for something tastier than subway. Canned mushrooms and meat looked bubbly. Wish I had gone to five guys.

Ordered a salad to go and got 2 little cups full of dressing. That is not a sufficient amount of dressing for a meal salad especially considering that the salads are lame at best. Chopped lettuce with chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and green pepper as well as cheese cubes. That is what is advertised and I'm fine with that, but at least provide enough dressing to wet all of the greens. My son's sandwich was good. The real reason for the 2 stars though is the staff. They were far more interested in chit chat amongst themselves than helping customers. We had to stand there and wait while they chatted about their day for 5 minutes instead of helping us. The customer should always come first. They can chit chat all they want when there are no customers in there. read more

Would have gave this place 4 stars a week ago when we came but my experience last night will probably keep me from coming back. Tried it a week ago and it was very good. Last night I went through the drive thru and the boy taking my order was taking to me in a robot voice (on purpose) and I could hear him giggling with co-workers as he was doing it. It was so awkward for me. Then at the window he was trying to explain why he was talking in that voice. Just weird and unprofessional. When we got home with our food he had forgot the cookies and our sandwiches were made wrong. I looked at the receipt and they were punched in wrong. Probably because he was having more fun acting like a idiot through the speaker. Kinda sucks. My advice, hire more mature staff. I'm not sure if there was a manager in there at the time but my experience was not good. read more

I have been wanting to try Firehouse Subs for quite a while now and just got the opportunity this week. Very impressed with their efficiency, the accuracy of our order, the table service in a somewhat fast food restaurant and the quality of the food. Pretty good sandwiches, but the ham is WAY sweet. It takes over the whole sandwich. Also, make sure you tell them if you don't want your sandwich hot, they put most of them through the oven. I may try again and not get ham:) read more
