    Reuben with tater salad.

Fairly small deli with tables inside and more outside for Al Fresco dining. Not rerally enough room for decorations, although they do let people sign the walls. The menu is on chalkboards and signs over the counter, where you order. They deliver to your table. About 4 people in line ahead of us, but that wait was short. It arrived at our table outside between five and ten minutes later. The sqeeze and I split a Reuben samminch and got two small orders of tater salad. The sandwich had plenty of tender meat in it, a good amount kraut and dressing. It was served on rye bread with swiss cheese. Very nice sandwich, wonderful flavor and plenty for two people. The tater salad was different as it had some meat in it, but very good. I am not sure what the meat was, but it sure added a different texture and flavor to the salad. Service was very good with friendly servers. We are glad we finally stopped in.

Wow, what a grimy, dirty place....The tables, chairs, floors, napkin holders and more were greasy and gross. The staff were incompetent and mostly stood around talking, sat on bar stools at the counter and some were on their phones. . Oh, and the food; the bread was falling apart because it was old. The sandwich did not have much meat and was mushy and wet. I got stomach cramps an hour later which made running errands a little interesting.... Truly a waste of money and time and an afternoon.

Customer Service was amazing and super friendly. The restaurant was clean. My sandwich was huge! Portions are out of this world. I couldn't even finish half of my sandwich. That being said, my sandwich as a combo with potato salad and a drink was $20. That was eye brow raising that I just wanted to stop in for lunch and didn't anticipate $20 for a quick bite. I likely won't be back because I don't need that portion size and I don't want to spend that much. Upon leaving I got to my car and realized they forgot my potato salad so I went back in to get it. Taste of food.... It was ok. So much bread.... Turkey and cheese was seasoned nicely. Overall, it was ok. Potato salad was ok. Seasoned nicely, a bit strong for me. If isn't my fortay, but could be perfect for someone else. Don't knock it till you try it so if you're craving a sandwich, and have a deep pocket, give it a go.

    Any food between that bread?

Fat Guy's is a pretty good deli spot with a super friendly staff. The sandwiches are excellent when it comes to the meat and topping, but I think the reason this place is called "fat" is because of the way-too-thick bread. It's simply too much and unnecessary. I ended up eating mine open-faced to make it feel like a normal amount of bread. The most ridiculous sandwich is the kid's pb&j. It's a whole loaf of bread in one sandwich. Neither of my kids could finish half, thank God. I would come back but just for myself, and to eat open-faced.

The potato salad is absolutely awesome. It's not sweet and loaded with goodies. The coleslaw was meh. Neither my husband or myself enjoyed it. Didn't have much flavor. More like Italian dressing-y. Not creamy. Both sandwiches were amazing. Tons of meat. Bread was good. Lots of toppings. They do not offer free water cups, but do have bottled water available. Prices are pretty comparable to other sandwich joints. I'd pick this over any of the chains any day!

So I've been a customer for years. Since it was originally called 2 Fat Guys. Ownership changed since those days at least once...maybe twice now. The place is a lot cleaner inside, however, the sandwiches are a lot thinner (less meat) & more $$$ for less food. Come on Fat Guys. Meat used to be as thick as the bread. Not anymore.....not so sure I'll be back.

Nicest place ever! Not only are the sandwiches absolutely delicious, the owner and all of the staff are so kind and friendly! We will definitely recommend this deli to others and visiting it again!

Service was really slow, then out of rye bread for pastrami. Over 30 minutes for a mediocre sandwich.

Friendly service. Fresh ingredients. Too much bread and on the high end for a deli sandwich.

Today, our friend brought us to Garden City to walk along the river, and then over to Uncle Guiseppe's for lunch. It is a small, seemingly authentic New York deli that serves a great number of different sandwiches, along with specialty drinks, like sodas, sparkling water, and lemonade. They also well things like pastries and, of interest to us, jarred roasted tomatoes. My wife had the #9 Monte Cristo, and I had the #3 Bonanza. Delicious. I also had a Manhattan Special Black Cherry soda, also super yummy. My mistake, not realizing what I was doing, was to order "whole" vs "half" sandwiches. The whole are footlong. I ate the entire sandwich, holy moly! My wife brought half home. Next time I would probably order a half. The owner, who I will call Guiseppe, had the heavy East Coast accent, and checked on all of his customers, making sure they were happy and satisfied. This place is a little gem. We're already talking about our next visit to Garden City to walk and have lunch at Uncle Guiseppe's!

They had three or four dairy and gluten free options. I particularly liked the banana nut bread and also got their chocolate-chip banana bread. I ordered an egg salad on a gluten free wrap during one of our visits - excellent. Their lattes were outstanding. I highly recommend the Soup Kettle Grille to anyone close enough to try it out.

Sandwich was soggy and difficult to consume with a lot of the cheese running out of the sandwich and being too overcooked to eat. Didn't actually finish the sandwich and that is a rarity for me. Tomato Soup was very runny, weak and lacked flavor and had an almost microwaved consistency and taste to it. Coffee also tasted off for some reason, almost having an old/stale flavor. Overall the staff were nice but the food left much to be desired.
