Save yourself a trip. Avoid at all costs. 1. The name needs to be adjusted to "Eastern European Market" - as you will only find products from Central/Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Russian, Poland etc.) 2. Products are frequently outdated and/or pass their expiration date but still being sold (most recently cottage cheese which literary had mold on the inside). 3. A lot of products aren't identified in English so better brush up on your Russian. 4. Packaging on many items is highly questionable - see enclosed poppy seeds plastic container - which had NO inside seal with flimsy top that you lift and can touch the product - I do not believe that is even legal 5. You will never be able to exchange/return items - even though it does NOT say "final sale" on the receipt 6. Unenthusiastic, slow, unengaging, unfriendly staff - stereotypical behavior by Eastern European staff that forgot they are no longer in the Eastern European village

Delicious giant loaf of Russian Rye Bread fresh daily.

Loaf of fresh Russian Rye Bread $5 1 lb. tube of Mortadella 1 lb. tube of Chicken Bologna 1 can chicken pate 1 can paprika chicken pate Equals $23 and a week of lunches or one big Saturday picnic for 8-10. The Rye bread is fresh every day and is simply stunning. There are thousands of other Eastern European products and mountains of various frozen perogies. You deserve a visit and a sampling of their goods. There is an indoor dining area. All the ladies were cheerful and helpful. To all the COVID whiners - no masks because they are no longer mandated by the elite oppressors.

I'm not sure if the Ukrainian situation is the reason...but their service is better! They actually smile and look at you now

Bread was the best , "speck" was also very good and priced reasonable. Only negative staff not too friendly.

We have not purchased any other items but perhaps when my Mom is back in March, we'll purchase some Mortadella for her to try.

We moved to Star from out of state two years ago. We had read about Uncle Guiseppe's and wanted to…read moretry it, but hadn't gotten around to it yet. Today, our friend brought us to Garden City to walk along the river, and then over to Uncle Guiseppe's for lunch. It is a small, seemingly authentic New York deli that serves a great number of different sandwiches, along with specialty drinks, like sodas, sparkling water, and lemonade. They also well things like pastries and, of interest to us, jarred roasted tomatoes. My wife had the #9 Monte Cristo, and I had the #3 Bonanza. Delicious. I also had a Manhattan Special Black Cherry soda, also super yummy. My mistake, not realizing what I was doing, was to order "whole" vs "half" sandwiches. The whole are footlong. I ate the entire sandwich, holy moly! My wife brought half home. Next time I would probably order a half. The owner, who I will call Guiseppe, had the heavy East Coast accent, and checked on all of his customers, making sure they were happy and satisfied. This place is a little gem. We're already talking about our next visit to Garden City to walk and have lunch at Uncle Guiseppe's!
