I honestly like Firehouse subs and their Hook & Ladder is my go to but this place was pathetic! We had 1 couple ahead of us going to the counter and I thought it would be a fairly quick meal. I was so wrong. 30 minutes later still waiting and watching all these Uber Eats, DoorDash and online orders go out the door we still hadn't gotten our food. At least the young guy who took the orders was nice enough to wipe the sweat off his face and then proceed to fill the ice machine for the fountain drinks. And as we walked out he was picking his nose with his thumbnail to share with the other patient customers. Seriously the worst wait time I've ever had at any Firehouse Subs or any sub shop for that matter! At least they gave us a small sub instead of the medium we ordered, which shows they're trying to be frugal & save money for this store... If you are a Rewards Member, be careful. I had a substantial number of Reward points. When I went into this store for a sandwich, I pulled up the FS app on my phone only to be surprised that my points were gone. Evidently if you don't use your points within a given period, they take them away from you. There was no notification that my points were going to disappear. Also, while I waited for my order, 2 other customers came in, placed their order, and received it. WHAT THE F...! I usually love coming to this location because they're pretty quick and typically following Covid regulations to a T. Tonight I went in to pick up some food and it seemed much more disorganized than usual. The person at the register must've been new or something, but it seem like he had no idea what he was doing nor was there anyone offering to help him. Then, someone who openly presented himself as an employee came in with no mask on and proceeded to walk around with no mask on, lean over the end of the counter to speak to the people making sandwiches, and sneeze without covering his mouth. this to me was just a total disregard for all the precautions including basic mask wearing that restaurants should be enforcing at this point, and it was honestly a little gross. I like the sandwiches here and they are very friendly. My only complaints are they seem to be really slow even when it's not busy. And despite being slow, something on our order always seems to get goofed up. My wife and I both don't like pickles. To us it's like eating a mouthful of salt. We always ask for no pickles and they always to give them to us anyway. Kind of frustrating. It seems like whenever you say no tomatoes, no peppers, no onions or whatever, that's what they end up putting on. It's definitely time for me to update my review. I'm over the fact that they don't have a veggie sandwich listed on their menu. There are plenty of other places I can go for that. Plus, the under 500 calorie menu makes up for it. In fact, the Turkey Salsa Verde has to be one of my favorite sandwiches ever...and at only 430 calories. The menu is very extensive with something for everyone and everything is always fresh and flavorful. Ordered ahead under COVID19 circumstances. Was surprised to walk in and find that NO ONE there was wearing a nose/mouth mask - no customers, but more surprisingly NO WORKERS behind the counter. If I had been thinking I probably would have cancelled the order but I walked out with it as fast as I could. I hope I don't catch the thing from one of their workers. You'd.l think they'd at least be concerned with their own liability of not the health of their workers and customers.
