My hubby and I come here just about every weekend. The meat used in our Italian sub has a really good flavor. The service is always very good and "if" there is ever an issue it may be a new person learning the ropes, but it's nothing we can't deal with. A nice alternative if having a sub craving as there are several options in the immediate area. A good amount of protein on the sandwich is standard. Cheese is melted nicely. A large selection of hot sauces from very mild to very hot are available to add some spice if you want. Always the best and excellent service when Debbie the manager is there! She always goes above and beyond in ensuring every customer is taken care of and runs an efficient, organized and clean store! She definitely should be recognized for all she does and her hard work. I've been coming to this location since it opened and always when Debbie is there. Only bad experiences I've had is if the other lady is there which I believe is the owners wife or part of ownership. The subs are OK. It's better than subway, but they're not the best. It's OK for a franchise though. I ordered two sandwiches. One was a special order which they got correct. However, they messed up the regular sub because of it. They were not accommodating or helpful in fixing their problem. They really turned it into an ordeal. I have never left a review before but I have to on this place. They are so slow and rude. I ordered a grub hub order to pick up. I am there right when it says to be. I stand there for 20 minutes and everyone is getting their food and no one asks me my name or anything. I ask if I was forgotten and then they tell me they didn't have my order. I show them my phone that I paid for it in grub hub. They then tell me they are very busy but didn't get it. The manager comes out and asks my name and they did in fact have it. Well ... because you are busy you can just skip orders? What kind of customer service is that??? I finally get my food while the employees keep commenting about how they are busy and so on and so forth under their breath. I even added a tip to my order. It took 13 more minutes for my food to be made. So 33 minutes of waiting and having to ask for assistance. They claim ordering thru grub hub or door dash is not the way to order and calling is the best way. I will not be back there. I want to leave zero stars. read more

Stopped in this past Sunday to get my 87 year old Mom a sub. She LOVES sandwiches but has a hard time eating because of no teeth. Got her the brisket and cheddar knowing how wonderfully soft it is having had one myself on 'my side' of town--downriver. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. Quite disappointing since my store the staff are always cheerful. They were not overly busy. One ahead of me and three behind me. I do love the atmosphere. I took in all the photographs while waiting for my name to be called. Grandma loved the sub. She said it was one of the best she's ever had. Since she only eats a tiny bit these days I can agree since I ate the other half. This is my top sub restaurant. I can't express how much I love FireHouse. Their subs are literally levels above any competition. I have tried only three subs on their menu which are the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar, the Hook and Ladder, and lastly and my absolute favorite their FireHouse Meatball. The bread they use is just phenomenal and their subs are just amazing, they come back neat, and generously stacked with meat, they lever skimp out. To the reader, just go in and try it yourself. Firehouse Subs is like the love child of Subway and Jimmy John's. Every sub I've ordered from them has been absolutely delicious, the employees are all super friendly and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. I'd also like to point out the place is spotlessly clean :-) They offer dine in or carry out - but there really isn't any wait service, unless you count them bringing your sub to your table. Which I don't. The menu isn't very large, but it's not limited by any means. They seem to have something for just about everyone. My only "complaint" would be to add fries to their menu ;) Subs are served as "medium" (appears to be about a 8in sub) or "large" (about a 12in sub) on your choice of white or wheat. Just the sub, or a combo (includes chip and drink) They also have salad and chili. Their sub bread is really good - It's not as Chewy and Jimmy John's, but not as mushy as Subway. The friendly staff yelling "welcome to firehouse" as you walk in is super cute, as are the plastic fireman hats they have available ( I suspect these are for children, but I've seen plenty of adults walk out wearing them, and I'm not ashamed to admit I too drove home wearing a fireman's hat) This place is a win on every level. read more

Good stuff right here, man. So far, I have tried the NY Steamer, the Italian, and the Hero. They were all great. The subs are choke-full of delicious goodness. They steam-heat their subs. I think the process unleashes the true flavor of each ingredient. Whatever the case, they make a savory sandwich. I like that you can customize your sandwich with things like pickles, peppers, olives, vinegar and oil, etc. I also like that they have a full staff of people working. Therefore, the kid who was just cleaning tables and handling money isn't the person making your sandwich. Finally, the restaurant is very clean. read more
