It was ok, I have never eaten and this was the first time trying it out. I had heard great things and other reviews made it seem like a good choice. First time here. The sandwiches were pretty good. A little confusing as to a menu saying MED only and the girl at counter asking medium or large. Also girl at counter didn't listen at all to what we said and then repeated back incorrectly. She was too focused on her agenda of taking the order. They already need a larger space. Watched a few people walk in, see the line and walk out. Will go back and try again. Like I said, the sandwich was good. I would have liked to be able to refill my drink, but again too many people. I can eat/pick out a lot of things and usually don't mind mistakes, but I specifically asked for this, and made a point of it. Normal to wait 20 mins for 2 sandwiches with 5 dedicated people in the sandwich making section the whole time? Not packed and the person in front of me ordered 4 sandwiches to go and his was done within 5 mins max. So 15 mins on top of his 4 sandwiches? When I asked the employee if it normally takes 20 mins for 2 sandwiches and 5 for 4? He said yes we are very fast here man. Well that was the nail in the coffin. I took my sandwiches that were already cold in the bag to the register and said I don't want them. I will not even try to come back. Very busy which is to be expected when a new restaurant opens in Awesome town. Everyone wants the "newest" food. I ordered the club with no ham. That was a little confusing for the cashier because I wanted all turkey and no ham. After that was figured out, it took about 15 minutes to get my sandwich. It was fine, I'm not a huge fan of toasted sandwiches, I'd rather have a cold sandwich. Anyway, no real complaints. Its fast food. We ordered for delivery, and while the food we did receive, that was correct, was good... it was not that good to justify the cost and bad experience. One sandwich and chips wasn't delivered at all, almost half the order had substitutions we didn't approve. They apparently tried to call but the call was missed, but that means you just don't deliver said items and not charge us. It doesn't mean make substitutions willy-nilly. Not only were the substitutions things we don't eat/drink but they were still charging us for them. We had to go through the process of getting a refund. The sandwiches were poorly put together, two not as we ordered, and very small. I mean SMALL. I can think of another sandwich chain that gives twice the size for a "small" and the food is just as good(and for some sandwiches, cheaper). The sandwiches at this place are 3 1/2x2 1/2. Yes I measured! I couldn't believe I was forking out almost $6 for something that should be on the kids menu. I was hard pressed to think of whether or not we would bother trying them again, but after seeing other (and recent!) reviews on here I'm almost certain no. Why? Because the owner addresses these reviews saying basically, "we're sorry, give us another chance" but clearly they are not making any efforts to change things on their end. It's clear they don't care, no matter what they say. Words are wind... Been wanting to try this place after seeing all the commercials on t.v for sometime now. Well I got to say I had much higher expectations for their food after getting a ringing endorsement from my buddy. My family ordered 3 different sub combos for around $30. I got the pastrami/corned beef and the wife got the beef and cheddar while my son went with meatball. The subs are prepared the same, steamed meat on toasted bread. The meats were so plain I could not tell the difference between pastrami-corned beef- and the beef if I were blindfolded. I asked for thousand Island dressing instead of Italian, they didn't have it. My sandwich was so dry with only a whisper of mustard and pickles were only on the side. No side dishes, unless you call bagged chips a side dish. It was bigger than subway, but less tasty. I attended the 'Sandwiches With The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriffs'" event yesterday (4/27/22) at the Valencia location. It was the first time I had been there and I was so glad I did! Not only was the conversation with the Sheriff's Deputies so informative, but the subs/food was fantastic! I ordered the "pair" of small chicken grilled sub with caramelized onions/extra provolone cheese/ honey mustard dressing (besides the "normal") on wheat bread with the mac 'n chs side dish as it's originally prepared. PERFECT choice! The mac 'n cheese is right on and very filling. I also picked the Cherry Limeade Light Sparking drink. I figured I may as well try everything new! I am SO happy with my choices and encourage all to check this place out. The internal décor is exceptional and - I have to comment on this - the restrooms are clean and as up to par as the other décor. I WAS impressed! PLEASE Support this location as well as the SCV Sheriffs Dept! They are dedicated to keeping us safe and it takes a special person to be one! read more

I have driven by firehouse a number of times. I frequent the Barnes & Nobles. Tonight I decided to try it finally. I walked in around 9pm and the place was empty. There were three employees behind the counter. Everyone greeted me when I came in, which makes the later part of this story more stupid. All young men and a young woman doing some cleaning. As I approached the counter the young woman stepped behind the counter and took my order. She was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. Awesome employee. I get my chips and drink and take a seat. I'm waiting, and waiting. Then two other customers came in and were standing at the counter. I still hadn't got my sandwich. I'm not really one to complain so I went up to the counter. One of the guys behind the counter was making the sandwich of the customer that just entered. I'm a reasonable guy, I thought maybe they just forgot to bring it out to me. They told me they would but no big deal. I'm looking at the guys behind the counter but they're talking amongst themselves. The woman who helped me before came out of the bathroom and I asked about my sandwich. She looked perplexed and asked if they'd made it. They had no idea what she was talking about. Honestly, I'm not sure who is to blame. Apparently, she took my order and no one made the sandwich. I sat there for a good five minutes before the second customers even came in. So they say they'll make it right away and they apologize. I go back to my table a bit disappointed. Soon after, another employee, I guess the manager, comes out and apologizes for the poor service and gives me a coupon for a free sandwich the next time I'm in. This was a nice gesture. Finally my sandwich comes out and I eat it. It was pretty lack luster. Jersey Mike's or Togo's nearby have better more interesting sandwiches. I finished my sandwich and left. Despite the nice offer from the manager, I left he coupon on the table. I realized after the poor service and the lack luster sandwich I would never use that coupon. read more

Fun new sub place in Santa Clarita, especially if your a firefighter fan. They specialize in hot subs. I am more of a cold sub person but the family loves warm subs. Next time I go I will have to see if they will make a cold sub. They have many house special subs. They enjoy the turkey/ham combo. The large size is huge. Their bread is soft and great, even better if you like a wet sub. The have a coke machine that offers a variety of different sodas. They also offer a variety of teas. Kids get a plastic fire hat, which is fun. Looking forward in going back and trying a different sub! Also, fun firefighter memoriabilia to view while eating. read more

But the time we were there, our order took more than 15 minutes which puzzled us because there were only about 12 people in there including myself and hubby. The Firehouse sandwiches are great, no complaints on the quality of the food. However, I had a negative experience with the manager on duty the day of my visit. I somehow, my mistake or the attendant at the register, ordered the wrong size sandwich ( small when I wanted a medium). When my sandwich was brought to the table, I advised the waiter that I wanted the medium and not the small. My receipt indicated that I had paid for the small sandwich. The line to order another sandwich had grown and waiter said he would take care of it. He took the sandwich back, returning a few minutes later. The waiter advised that his manager (Jacob) said that if I wanted another sandwich I would have order one. I would have to stand back in line, order a sandwich and wait for it, while the group that I was with finish their meal. In my opinion, the manager should have talked to me in person and given me the chance to pay for another sandwich without standing in line. When I confronted Jacob in person, he gave me the impression that he thought I was trying to scam a sandwich out of him. Jacob needs training on how to deal with customers. He is confrontational and does not understand the importance of customers to a small business. read more

Funny how things work. Wife and daughter tall me that my niece and her husband went to this new place called Firehouse and that they are still not officially open (no idea how that happened but that is besides the point ...) Next day I see the first ever TV add for that chain. Now I am a foodie and I have no idea how I never heard of this company but there it was. Same day I am reading an article on the best sandwiches in THE USA. Firehouse was second to a chain in Chicago (so not exactly close and convenient). Well it was lunch time so of course we had to try them out (not to mention my car was at the Mazda dealer literally next door ready to pick up and I had to go and get it). Long line but it moved VERY fast. Well I ordered the turkey salsa verde combo. First let me say they have one of those new fangled soda machines that have a million choices and combos so that was fun. Then they had maybe 50 different sauces you can use to spice up your sandwich. They rated them on some arbitrary heat index. No idea who made that numbers up. They had rooster sauce (sriracha) the same level (5 I think) as some other stuff that had barely a kick. Plain BBQ sauce was a 3 LOL. Also it was in a location that was VERY hard to get to since anyone using the stuff will likely sit there, read labels and heat then figure out what they want and really only 1 person can be doing that. Anyways FOLKS IGNORE THE SAUCES!!! The sandwiches are beyond perfect as is. Do not mess them up adding stuff. The sandwich I had was possibly the best i have ever eaten (outside of possibly a Langer's pastrami). No hyperbole. Seriously the best ever. I want to go back again the next day good. Even the service was amazing. I know the guy won't be here forever but a marketing or sales VP type guy was there for the opening. Walking table to table making sure everyone was happy. Tell me who does that? Beyond fresh meat. Crisp yummo veggies and bread to die for. I ordered the light sandwich and folks avoid the calories.
