My second and last time here. I was hoping for improvements from my first visit as it's under new management. Upon arriving it was a slow meet and greet and seated. It is a strange vibe and two ladies sitting at the bar had just fought and yelled at the bartender and paid and stormed out. Menu is interesting with a little bit if this and that. I opted for Chicken Picatta. It came with a salad that came out with limp greens that needed some ice water before letting it set in the walk-in. After the salad came the entree. OMG it was swimming in the liquid that was supposed to be a lemon cream sauce. Chef school 101 in sauce making is that a sauce should coat the back of a spoon. No coating here as it was way too thin. Even the flavor was lacking. I ate half and boxed the rest up. I unfortunately wanted to support local business but this was another fail for me. I would actually suggest to skip this place if thinking of giving it a try. Sorry.

The undercooked hamburger they served us.

The food was undercooked. I ordered a well done burger and it was very pink. Sent it back. Still came back undercooked. Hubby ordered med well and his was almost bloody. The wait was horribly long so we opted to pack up our food and cook it at home. They only had 1 person answering phones and waiting on all tables and this was at noon. The tiles on the bar front had many broken a nd missing pieces. The flower hangers in front were rusted and missing the container to actually hold flowers. I will never return to this establishment!

I had seen good reviews so thought I would want to try this place because everything on the menu seemed great as well and I won't lie I was a little worried when I walked in and when the food first arrived. I was not worried at all once I got a taste. My friend had a veggie quesadilla with feta cheese which is kind of a weird combination that worked out really well, and my salmon club was amazing! I added a little bit of chipotle mayo, and that really made the difference in taking it from a good sandwich to a great one. Prices are really cheap, food is delicious, service was okay at best but it was also well worth the trip still. Not in this area often but I'll probably come back when I am. Definitely want to check out the breakfast at least

My neighbor & I were looking for a good breakfast/lunch spot & stumbled upon this place. We arrived around 10:30 am & I inquired if I could order off the lunch menu that early. I was met with a resounding YES! Our friendly server took our drink order & gave us a chance to look over the menu. There's quite a variety from Asian to Italian to American burgers, sandwiches & salads and a fabulous breakfast menu too. My neighbor got the classic eggs benedict with hash browns while I ordered the special of the day: fish tacos. I chose a bowl of clam chowder as my side. The clam chowder was homemade & delicious. My fish tacos were scrumptious. My neighbor liked his breakfast & I must admit, it looked good. I'll have to order breakfast next time (and there will be a next time). Breakfast is served until 3:00 daily.

This place is a hidden gem. I don't think many people have discovered it as yet.... but we had 7 people and every plate of food was amazing. Best Clam Chowder we've had in years! The Pizza was superb Fettuccine Alfredo as good as any Italian joint. The Apple walnut salad didn't disappoint The gluten pizza with cauliflower crust was excellent. Didn't taste gluten free :) And the knuckle sandwich was delish!! You should try this next!!

Excellent brunch spot! The place was busy on a Sunday morning, the servers were on the ball so the wait wasn't too long. The cafe is on the smaller side in a strip mall but thankfully it didn't feel too crowded when seated. We got the breakfast pizza for the table to share, it was delicious, highly recommend. Everyone ordered different entrees - pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelet, tacos and we all raved about our meals. If you're looking for something casual and fun different than a chain restaurant, definitely visit Fireside Cafe!

I have been here twice now and I really enjoy this restaurant. I have been here both times for breakfast and I have to say it is yummy. I will be back. I came here because most other places were packed for breakfast and lucky for me they had a table open. Both times I have tried different things and I will gladly come back. Service here has been excellent both times as well. I can't wait to come back in the afternoon and order something other than breakfast. I may even add a 5th star to my review. :)

Leftovers from the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. They are HUGE and delicious No syrup needed, but they have it if you want it!

We needed a dog friendly restaurant while traveling, and this fit the bill perfectly with a covered patio, outdoor fan, and TVs if you are into football. I ordered the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes with fresh blueberries. They were so fluffy, fesh, and sweet they didn't need syrup. My aunt ordered the chicken pizza, and it looked amazing and cheesy. The BLT was stacked with fresh crispy bacon, and it was so big my husband only ate half. The food was so good we didn't think to photograph it until it was almost all gone. Sorry, no pizza pictures, but we were sure to take the leftovers home for another meal. Great value!

If there were a way to give zero stars I would. Husband ordered his usual mussels, and they were fine. I ordered chicken fried rice. Got it, room temp and salty...I mean salty. Server came and asked how things were, I sent mine back (too salty, too cold). He didn't apologize NOR did he ask if he could bring me anything else. Got the bill, entree still on. Spoke with manager who proceeded to tell me she doesn't order it because she has HBP. WTH??? Had to argue to get it taken off bill...we'll never go back. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. We've been a couple of time for breakfast, and once for dinner and are blown away each time. There hasn't been anything we've ordered that has been bad. We are definitely trying the pizza next time. For breakfast, def have the Banana Fosters, or the tacos and you won't be disappointed. The amount breakfast potatoes alone could be a meal. They don't skimp on anything! The rigatoni Bolognese can stand up to any Italian restaurant. We always leave with leftovers. Great service every time. read more

The food was okay. My table got a wide variety of things including the fish and chips and the French toast which were both bland. The problem ended up being the baked rigatoni which was too spicy. In the stores defense, it did say that it had chipotle roasted peppers in the sauce, but the spice level was not clearly marked in comparison to other options on the menu. Even though the plate was barely touched and taken away by the manager who had acknowledged a refund, we ended up having to discuss a discount for the food for 10-20 minutes. It seemed that the manager wanted to guilt trip us into ignoring what happened. The waiter was nice, but the place is not worth the price or the attitude of the manager. read more

Glad we tried again. Place was empty. Server was friendly. Ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo. I think the best I ever had! Perfect amount of rich creamy sauce, noodles perfect texture. My husband had the special, buffalo chicken mac & cheese. He really enjoyed it too. I hope people keep trying to come here, will be back for sure! read more

I seldom post negative or 'less than positive' reviews, however, I was a little disappointed. The service was great but the quality/flavor of each item ordered was quite variable. Some good some ?? The Chili in the appetizer section was excellent. The onion rings were soggy and lacked flavor. The chef's salad with blue cheese was flavor free and the lettuce a little stale or limp. The beef liver and onions were great and I would certainly order that again but I'm not sure if we'll return. read more

Because you might not read all of this, I'll skip to the most important part. GET THE RICE PUDDING FOR DESSERT. I know what you're thinking... rice pudding? But seriously- it will rock your world. It's a warm, creamy, carmelly taste of heaven you won't regret. We have been going to Fireside for a couple of years now and it has become one of our favorite restaurants. Every single meal we have had there has been absolutely outstanding, and so has the service! For breakfast, everything is good but especially the Crispy French Toast! The spinach artichoke fonduta, burgers, entree's (especially shrimp n' grits) are amazing. Now, we all know there are a ton of pizza places around here, but this is one of the BEST- our boys will attest to that! Their BACON PIZZA is like gold in our household. And for dessert? I'll say it again... do your tastebuds a favor and get the RICE PUDDING!!! read more

This was fine. It's sort of having an identity crisis. Is it a casual bar? Is it an upscale eatery? No one can tell. The food was solidly decent. It was a step above your standard strip mall sports bar, which is always a good thing. I went for dinner, but I have a feeling they put out a better breakfast product. One of the people I was with got the home fries, which are their shredded breakfast potato, and they were really delicious. Pulled pork, chicken parm and fish and chips fed us. All good, nothing to write home about. I can't tell if the food comes from restaurant supply freezer bags or is actually fresh, which seems like a good thing? The decor is weird. The place used to be a pizza place, and it hasn't lost that skeleton. I will try again, but as a skeptic. Bonus: we saw the guy in one of these Yelp pictures in the kitchen part, so that was pretty entertaining. read more

I'm from Chicago and planned a rehearsal dinner there for my son. All done over the phone a month in advance with the manager (Jamie). She made the process so easy and always communicated with me via phone or email or texts. Now. As far as the dinner. Food was wonderful. But the service was excellent. They were happy to have us and we were treated like kings. I also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Bruno and his lovely wife. (The owners). The restaurant is new and all of my 35 guest were happy with what they ordered. I highly suggest people stop in and give it a try. I'm just sad I live so far away and can't come here often. Salute Bruno. And Jamie, and the staff. Thank you again. Loved it.... read more

Ate here for the first time today for lunch. I had a chef salad that was loaded with meat and eggs. Great salad as far as salads go but not what I wanted to order. The other food in their looked and smelled awesome. My friend got a pulled pork sandwich that he said had great flavor and was very moist. The pizza and burgers looked and smelled awesome. This place is definitely going on my list of places that I frequent. Also, they have a great breakfast menu. I will be going back soon to try it out. I almost got it for lunch since they serve it until 2:00 everyday. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. read more

I don't know what's happened, but the last few visits have been bad. We went for breakfast this morning. We were seated at 9:40 and didn't order until 9:55. Most of the food came out at 10:25, which seems exceedingly long for breakfast foods. Additionally, only 3 meals came out. The waitress came over to tell us she forgot to put son's pancakes in system, but it should be right out. It was about 12 minutes later, when the rest of us were almost done eating. Also, the wife's toast was burned. Who sees burned toast, butters it, and sends it out? Evidently, Fireside does as the table next to us also commented on this. Lastly, when she finally came to get the check, so we could pay, she decided to clear the table. No. Serve the customer first. This means get the bill paid and then clear the dishes. This is a major pet peeve of mine! read more

Expected more from this place based on reviews. We ordered wings - along with other items - about 20 minutes later the waiter returned saying the had no wings. Ok, that happens. We ordered a different item and waited another 30 minutes. After giving the bar a hairy eyeball our waiter scurried into the kitchen and brought out our food barely warm. Obviously our food had been sitting for quite awhile. The food might have been pretty good, but barely warm food and especially fries is pretty unappealing. Supposedly short-staffed in the kitchen but not sure how that translates to cold food. read more

Great menu and overall happy with the food. My only complaint is that every time I walk in the place looks dirty. The floors aren't clean and tables aren't cleared quickly. It makes the place seem dirtier and worse than it actually is. read more

We were very hopeful on trying this establishment. My son was home form the Navy and wanted something different to try. We waited at least 20 minutes until we waived the bartender down for some drinks. He seemed surprised that no one had come to take our order. He brought out our drinks and said he'd be taking our order. He recommended the Crusted Parmesan Chicken. 4 of the six in our party ordered it. My daughter had a burger and my husband the Stromboli.. the food was ok... My daughter Loved her Burger. We had to constantly ask for refills. I just feel he was put off by our request. I feel he seemed overwhelmed. Towards the end of our meal we were getting such an off vibe from him. The entire experience was below par for a new restaurant! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. We dined in for an after-funeral reception with the family, and the staff (particularly the owners) were BEYOND RUDE! We had made a reservation, so they knew we were coming. They were inconsiderate, unorganized, and completely unprofessional. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. read more

If I didnt put a star there is no review.. A party of 4 on Sun at 6:30. We enter and are seated, its only been a few minutes, but another couple comes in 5 mins and is seated behind us, in less than 30 seconds they are asked for drinks and then she goes to another table... Yeah, we're black... does it still happen..it does.. then watched as we left and not approached... The point..should I be mad, I could ; its better to write this review..never come back. I am not sorry for your total failure on customer service , because that person represented YOUR ESTABLISHMENT.It could be training, or her being rouge and racist. Black or White, people deserve respect and courtesy. I will never come back, feel free to respond read more

Food is decent, draft beer selection is craft but nothing to go crazy about. Have had their burgers, pizzas and Stromboli. The pizza is what I would get again. Service tends to be slow unless you sit at the bar, which is small, maybe 5 seats. Want to try their breakfast at some point. read more

We went here because of a recommendation from a coworker. My son and his girlfriend were with us as well. We were greeted immediately and promptly seated and given water and drinks. The waiter was extremely friendly and the menu had excellent and a variety of options. We had the fried chicken, salmon, pork chops, and the Cuban. We were all pleased with the food, especially the portions and the freshness. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Solid example of a local joint. Breakfast is really good. Mimosas! Corned beef hash, kielbasa is on the menu. Actually all the hashes are great, they have 4 to choose from. Dinner is solid with daily specials. Wine and beer, no liquor. read more

This was our first visit here this morning after deciding to check out a new place for breakfast. Nice interior, friendly staff. Both my wife and I ordered the Bananas Foster French Toast. We've been here a couple times and have had great food and service. We didn't have to wait either time. The waitress was very friendly and always made sure we had refills. I ordered the meat lovers omelette, it came with fried potatoes and bread. The portions were huge! I'm not a big fried potatoes person but these are so well prepared. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

So I waited till my second time visiting Fireside to give it a fair shot in the ratings. Unfortunately, the second time equaled to be the same as the first time. My first visit I did a to go pick up and I ordered the Veggie salad which consisted of mixed roasted veggies on top of mixed greens with grilled chicken. When I picked the order up, the woman was not too pleasant who took my payment. Just overall demeanor was not good business like and come to find out she is the owner, which tainted it even worse for me for a return visit. That was the first part. When I got my order, it felt on the lighter side to be a mixed veg salad with chicken but I took it back to my office anyways without looking. When I opened it, there were just a few mixed veggies such as squash, zucchini, mushrooms, carrot, onions and tomato on top of a tiny bit of leafy greens and maybe 6 small pieces of chicken. It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't paid $10 for this. This was not $10 quality food. It was, however, good tasting chicken and veggies. The veggies had a Mediterranean roasted taste which was good and the chicken was juicy but for $10.....no. I didn't review until now because I believe everyone deserves a second shot. I went again for lunch and I ordered this time a veggie omelet which was $9.25 and comes with three eggs, roasted veggie mix, home fries and toast. When I called to order, I asked if I can take the home fries and toast off and instead get a side salad. The girl taking my order acted confused and said 'well let me ask..' so she came back on and said the owner said yes but just this one time...just this one time?? Considering that romaine lettuce and a couple tomatoes would be less money than potatoes and toast but whatever. When I went to pick it up, the owner wasn't as unpleasant but still never smiled and seemed rushed even though the place was dead. She handed me the food after I paid and it still seemed light to me but I was t making a fuss. I just wanted to get back to work. When I got back, the salad was a tiny bit of romaine with one wedge tomato and one cucumber slice, the omelette was ok, but was watery a bit and the veggies were all hard. It just def was not $9.25 lunch. My problem is that the prices need lowered for what you get. There may be other meals that are better than mine I ordered but I ordered two off the menu that were the same quantity and same problems. I may return, I may not. The service and quality/quantity don't really warrant a 'go for it!!' At this point. read more

A few chunks were at least 2" in length and about 1 1/4" wide. Also, it comes with a boq sauce already on it, besides their special sauce. My preference is the pork has no boq sauce on it but it's at the table to add if it's needed. But, gotta say this, HUGE amount of meat, and a tasty bun. Fries were good, but not spectacular or special. Their ketchup has some kick to it, so that was pretty neat. But, my taste buds were almost confused with the special sauce, the bbq sauce and then the ketchup. My wife ordered the Coca-Cola Braised Short Rib Slow-braised short rib + Coca-Cola reduction + Buttery whipped potatoes + Smothered green beans + Crispy tobacco onions. Next time I may order that.
