Nice new place just north of liberty center. It is a clean place but not really that big. It has a bar and small draft beer selection but most are craft beer selection. Menu is loaded with burgers, pizza, Italian, salad's and a nice appetizer selection. I had the 1/2 chicken roasted. It was very good and tender. It came with some yummy potato skins. Wife had the fish and chips. Very good and a big portion. Had cheese bread for appetizer. It was very good. So I would strongly suggest to try this place. Enjoy. read more

This is usually our go to place for breakfast. Food is always good. However, today the floors were filthy, the place is literally falling apart. Booths have ripped upholstery and the bar's faux front is falling off. I think they need to put some money into this place before it becomes another small business that closes. I'm giving 3 stars for the food. I'd give 2 for ambiance and probably 2 for the speed of the kitchen. read more

First time visitors and now huge fans of the food & hospitality. Sunday lunch and the place was packed, however within 2 mins I am already having a conversation with Ayten, the owners wife, who is very engaging & welcoming in the essence of " welcome to my home". Each order is prepared from scratch and it shows. We had, and recommend, the spinach & artichoke dip WITH homemade garlic rolls. Might have had a 2nd helping of garlic rolls....just maybe... We followed this up with the Apple Walnut salad, Sporkie pizza (amazing homemade crust w/the pulled pork being uniquely good), and Buttermilk Fried Chicken with a crust that is accessorizing not overbearing nor greasy while the chicken retains a delectable moistness. Excellent taste value across the board. We capped the meal off by sharing a slice of the homemade peacan pie which was the topical start to our experience. Having indulged too much already we requested the pie to-go, but after the strong encouragement of Ayten, we took it first at the table to sample in it's full and fresh presentation, and take the remainder home. So glad that we did. We have not had comparable peacan pie before. DO start at the table before taking the rest home... if any remains. Because the food is prepared from scratch per order, not precooked in the morning or prefab'd, it will take a little longer. Therefore when you are in a hurry this may not be the optimal choice for you. However, if you have a little extra time to enjoy each other's company, modern atmosphere, and a pint or a glass, then this is a great place with exquisite food & hospitable charm. read more

Sat down for breakfast with my husband at 9:45 on a Sunday. Waiter took our drink order and we ordered our food at the same time. At 11:00 we still didn't have our food and our waiter never came back to our table after delivering our drinks. We were on the patio and it almost felt like he forgot about us. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, rapid service, and fresh tasting food. I ordered a Spinach salad with chicken and it was delicious and fresh. They serve generous portions and it's priced just right. Where they lack ambience, they make up for in quality, variety and flavor. Salads, sandwiches, Breakfast served until 3 pm, soups, burgers, pasta and more! They appear to have half a dozen domestic beers and an equal number of foreign ones in bottles with another 6 choices on draft. They're large enough to accommodate a group and have a choice of tables or booths. For comparison, there's a similar style establishment down the road called Putters ( where I had the most unfortunate salad in history), but I don't think they can hold a candle to Fireside Cafe. I know what you're thinking, I ate a salad... well, if a restaurant has fresh vegetables...I can guarantee you that they'll have fresh meat ! The chicken was cooked perfectly. Check in was easy for a Friday night at 7:00. The hostess was extremely friendly and had a nice big smile. The waitress was friendly and casual but busy. I ordered the salmon and rice with a side salad and my husband ordered beef liver and onions. The side salad looked a little sad And the croutons were stale. Overall the salad tasted a bit old so we didn't finish it. The salmon was a ok. It didn't have that wow factor for me like Tzatiki Grill or Longhorn. The rice was just simple over cooked white rice and a little lemon and cilantro but again overall bland. Just A Ok. My husband and I rate the food a 2.3 and since our napkin request and second beer request were forgotten in never never land, and our Wilted salad was served in a bowl sat on top of a take home pizza box meant for the table next to us we rate the service a 2. We've been here for an hour and our waitress just disappeared. The atmosphere was a little loud but for more of a sports club feel I suppose it's fine. Had the quality of the food been better we would have rated it a three. Maybe next time Fireside, if we decide there will be a next time. Please for the love of God bring my husband his last beer so we can leave! Lol tick tock, tick tock. Oh, I Did love the people cooking the food. My mother and I came here and were seated outside by the host. We waited for 10 mins while we watched 2 servers serve and greet the other tables around us and disregarded us. We decided to leave before even getting greeted because it seemed like this was a microaggression considering we were the only AA customers in the restaurant. Entering the place, the smell of pinesol literally burned my nostrils. The gentleman at the front ignored us for a good 3 mins but a waitress finally came up to greet/seat us. We kept hearing good things about this place so we decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the dining room since it is located in a small shopping strip. The place smelled amazing when we entered and put me in the mood for Italian! My mom and I tried the Special pizza. The crust was light and airy and the sauce was very flavorful. My husband had The Reuben and he said that the corned beef was tender and delicious. My daughter had a salad with a huge piece of parmesan crusted chicken. She was happy with her choice as well. Not sure what's going on with this place because it's been great in the past. I brought my daughter and her family in for breakfast. It was before memorial day on Saturday. The restaurant was empty except for two tables and a person or two at the bar. A young man sat us towards the back of the restaurant. We sat there for almost 15 minutes it was like we were invisible. After a year of fabulous brunches, we finally came to this little gem to try one of their fresh pizzas. Wow...just. ..wow! The Best Beef Puzza is accurately named! You may question some of the toppings, but don't! They do an exquisite little dance in your mouth that will ask why no one else thought of it, and more importantly why you didn't try it before! We went there for the second time last week for dinner. First time we went it was very good but this time they were out of most of the things my husband wanted to order - no soup at all, no ginger ale, no decaf soft drinks or tea, ice machine was broken so no ice for soft drinks, lemonade or water, and the soap dispenser in the restroom was empty. The absolute rudest staff! We came with a party of 10 for Lunch and it was pretty dead. Plenty of tables open and servers standing around. They told us an hour wait. It's been a while since we have been here & we had a $5 off coupon so we stopped by tonight. Everything is still the same. #17 is still good as well as the fried chicken breast & mashed potatoes. One of the reasons we do not choose Fireside more often is due to the servers. The manager/owner is usually there & is great but the servers can be a bit snippy & put out if you ask too many questions. Refused to serve me because I had to pay with a 20 and 3 ones and some change for a 27 dollar order which I only had to pay with change because they falsely advertised they have app pay on Google maps. Good food (most the time) but we've had several problems and management is a PAIN to deal with. We came here with a large party for breakfast as an alternative to other breakfast spots and we were very pleased with our experience. They were very welcoming and attentive. Didn't have any issues with our food and the food was excellent. We will definitely return. We haven't even left yet and we already decided that. I only ate a few bites before I noticed it and immediately informed our server. She returned the food to us and said it was cheese (ps, husband is a sous chef and it was NOT cheese.) Walked in craving a stromboli but the wood oven wasn't heated up yet. No big deal will just give me another reason to come back! So, I decide on a chicken cajun Benedict with home fries. OMG. Awesome! The Benedict had spinach ( fresh ) chicken breast ( delicious and tender and juicy with mushrooms and hollandaise sauce!!! Oh and poached eggs perfectly done! I was in shock. I wasnt expecting so much food and the quality was GREAT. I didn't mind it took a bit to get my food cause it is piping hot when you get it.
