Meanwhile, my sister is talking highly of them. So I go on line and look at reviews. Only saw 1 negative through Google. Figured, one unsatisfied isn't bad. Schedule with a Groupon for Monday Morning on Saturday. They send me confirmation, I'm set. Prepaid and all. Go this morning at 9am. The guy says, you should have gotten a call to make sure we are available. I said, I tried calling but YOU put me on eternal hold. He says, "oh well, we're busy". Then I'm thinking, REALLY? First you say GET a call. But I call instead. Then, when I tell you I called you claim, "WE'RE BUSY?" Then he says they're booked solid and either come another day or leave my car. I'VE GOTTA LIFE, WITH A LOTTA THINGS TO DO IN IT!!! LEAVING MY CAR IS NOT AN OPTION!!!" Here's My Advice! If you're SO BUSY! HIRE A RECEPTIONIST!!! Plant her butt in that chair. Her ONLY responsibility is to answer phones and schedule services. THAT'S IT! It's not THAT complicated. For Tires, Put them in for Tires. For Brakes. Put them in for Brakes. For Oil. Put them in for Oil. For I don't know. Put Them In for THEY DON'T KNOW!!! Again, it's not THAT COMPLICATED! If you are still that busy. these guys keep jerking me around. their "free oil change" punch card i purchased a few years back clearly stated a $2.50 "era disposal fee". well, the epa fee is now $3.50 AND they have recently ADDED a shop supplies fee to it so now my "free oil" change (as was advertised) is now OVER $10 bucks! and get this, i purchased a "cash and carry" battery, and the buggers STILL charged me for "shop supplies"...they put it on the "shop" counter and i installed it at home! kirk stewart doesn't realize that though he may be generating revenue, he is more than turning customers away, he is really p*ssing them off as well! the only location (which is still open) where i felt like a valued customer was at the gilbert location on burk. read more

I purchased a Groupon for an oil change, tire rotation, and 26 point inspection. I arrived late, and they were very accommodating and finished my vehicle within 30 minutes. So what inspires my very very negative review? Well, I wish I knew what this 26 point inspection entailed. I assume they must have had to pop my hood at some point, perhaps to do the oil change in the first place? They neglected to include in their recommendations after inspecting my vehicle to replace my 4 year old, EXTREMELY corroded battery, which has since died. What they did include in the recommendations? To replace my struts. Well, my struts were replaced mere months ago, which leads me to believe they did not really look at them. They based this extremely expensive recommendation on the amount of miles on my car only. But the battery? I wish I could attach a picture. The amount of corrosion, the year 2011 sticker on the side of it, you can't miss it. So why did they not say anything about it? I can't come up with a logical explanation for it. What kind of 26 point inspection was this really? Did you actually rotate my tires? So many questions. I believe the point of Groupon is to attract repeat customers, not to do a half a$$ job because that customer got a deal. So congrats guys. What started out as a great visit is now ruined. Quoted two hours on phone and then they changed there mind to 6 hours to just fix a flat tire after arriving. No one really wanted to work or give any kind of customer service help. I would not trust taking my car there, they seemed to not know what they are doing. read more

The WORST service I have ever received. I will never return here for a service. I had an appt at 9am for oil change and tire rotation. Dropped my car off early at 8am! Came back to get it at 11:30 the oil change still needs 15 minutes to complete and the tire rotation was not complete. I will never ever bring my car back to this location again. read more

Brought our minivan here a few weeks ago to get brakes and an oil change through a Groupon ad. First of all, expect to pay $50 or more when you get your car to pay for "shop supplies". Why they don't include that in the Groupon and raise the price a bit is beyond me. I argued my case and the manager waived the additional fee. The only redeeming thing that happened with my experiences. Car was done same day, but after driving it a mile the brakes squeaked horribly. I figured it was something minor they would fix and didn't worry too much about it. More to come on this. Took my truck in a few days later with the same Groupon deal. I didn't have the same luck getting them to waive the fee up front, oh well I knew it was a possibility so I sucked it up. Got a call a few hours later and the technician basically said all of my rotors and pads needed to be replaced and I was essentially driving an "unsafe" vehicle. The total for repairs would be close to $1,000. My back brakes were fine, I know when brakes are going and those weren't. After 30 minutes of arguing with the guy he insisted that he couldn't consciously not do the back and front brakes and rotors because it would be a liability. He also said he wouldn't let me drive it and would have to have it towed for legal reasons. Soooo scary that I was driving a 2102 time bomb!! I told him to put my truck back together with the original parts and I'll pick it up and hung up. He called back in 5 minutes then telling me the back brakes should be done in the near future but didn't need to be done now. I knew the front left rotor was bad and anticipated replacing that. They gave me a price of $475 for replacing both front rotors and pads. I went on to ask why it was so high since they already had it on the rack with tires pulled for the Groupon deal. "What Groupon" he asked. The one I gave you when I checked in I replied. He said he would call back with a price adjustment because he wasn't aware of the Groupon...he was very busy that morning he said. Two hours later he calls back telling me my truck is done. I asked how it could be done when I didn't authorize any work and didn't get an estimate. After a 15 minute argument the supervisor was put on the phone where he started lecturing me about this and that and how they put synthetic oil in my truck because Toyota recommends it (not authorized by me) and safety this and safety that. Bottom line I told him it's illegal to perform work on vehicles without prior authorization from the owner. He starts getting heated asking what I am willing to pay. I say cost plus 25% for parts, no labor since the wheel was already off for the brake work. After his getting huffy we settle on a price and he hangs up on me. I get my truck drive off, roll the window down when I get close to home and the front left brake is now making a metal on metal rubbing sound. Yea the one with the new rotors. Perfect. I take my wife's car back a few days later telling them about the squeaking problem. I drop it off and get a call a few hours later and the technician tells me the front left rotor is "completely shot" and needs to be replaced. I said "what, you guys did the friggin brakes last week. I picked it up and you guys said I was all set!! His tune immediately changed and they call back telling me that the rotors can now conveniently be resurfaced, the same rotor that was completely shot 10 minutes ago. By the way, rotor resurfacing is part of the Groupon brake deal, so they either didn't do it the first time or did a hack job. I was dumbfounded. They did complete the repairs to the brakes of both cars. Second time is a charm I guess. I hate writing an essay about this, but my experience was one unethical set of shenanigans after another. It was the stereotypical crooked mechanic up sell and doomsday garbage which make it hard for people to trust even good shops. Exercise your free will, but buyer beware. read more

I have been a customer for over 7-8 years. During that time I have had a couple situations that I had to go back to them after a repair was done to have it completed again. It happens. I also know how busy this shop is. So I make plans ahead of time for transportation while it's in the shop. I drop it off with no appointments made and have them get ahold of me when they have an estimate. They do. Then they let me know an approximate day it will be done. No problems. I have spent at least $6-7 thousand their on repairs and tires One last example is I had to move to Vegas. Once I was up here I noticed two items they had replaced leaking. I called them to inform them because it was under warranty. On the same day they called me back and gave me the warranty Co phone #. I now have it scheduled for repair here. It happens. They have been more than fair. Also take advantage of their rewards program. Well worth it. read more

First of all, I want you to know I rarely write reviews and I have been going to this Fletcher's auto for 5 years without a problem. Six months ago, that all changed. I bought a Groupon for a brake change (covered pads either front or rear). I needed the front ones done. They charged me a surprise $20 "shop supply" fee. When I complained, I was told the manager would take $10 off of it, even though it should have been free (I read every word of the fine print on the Groupon, and this "fee" they charged was no where to be found. They also provided no real explanation for it). Last week, I went in for an oil change. I have a Fletcher's punch card I purchased for ten oil changes for $99 about a year and a half ago. Right on the card it says the oil disposal fee will be an additional $2.50. I have used it five times before, and have ALWAYS been charged $2.50. However, last week, when I took my car in for an oil change, my bill was for $7.50. They charged me $3.50 for a disposal fee and $3.50 for "shop fees." When I bought the oil change card, it specifically said it could be used for synthetic blends (which has always been used from this exact Fletcher's for this exact vehicle for $2.50 before now), but now all of a sudden they want to charge me $5 more than before? They also said my brake fluid needed to be flushed, that it looked bad. They wanted to charge me $59 for this as well. I declined, knowing I had just done that myself about 30,000 miles ago. I told them that and they still insisted it looked dirty. So, giving them some credence, I declined letting them change it at the time so I could inspect it on my own. I thought, well, maybe it had oxidized from a crack or something. So, I took the car home, opened the brake fluid reservoir and it looked fine to me. However, just to be sure, I pulled out my brake fluid test strips (yes, these exist and you can buy them on Amazon), and guess what? The fluid was a clean as if it were just changed yesterday. In summary, do yourself a favor and go to a different Fletcher's or a different shop all together. Fletchers in San Tan Valley is the worst place you can take your car or truck. Dropped it off for front brakes at 7am. Went to pick it up at 400pm still not ready. They finished at 445pm but said the brakes were making a clunking noise. It was driveable they said but bring it back on Monday(closed sunday) They brake pedal went ALL the way to the floor before it would stop. Also charged me 245.00 for front brakes and NO rotor work. Brought it back on Monday,now it was making a clunking noise on the opposite side. Took off of work on Tuesday and dropped it off again at 7am. They called me at 12pm to say my truck wont start and its in the same spot as I had left it. The manager said it seemed like a kill switch was stopping the truck from starting. I dont have a kill switch on the truck. I went there and for 2 hours i checked the fuses and tried resetting the alarm. At NO point did the manager or ANY workers come out to help. I went into O Reilly auto parts next door to Fletchers and ask one of the workers to come take a look. In ten minutes he told me it seemed like my fuel pump was not working. Then he looked and noticed my truck was a 2008 Dodge durango SLT Flex Fuel and told me the manager in Fletchers called to order a fuel pump for my truck!!!!! That friggin manager at any time could have come out into his parking lot where my truck was and told me that!!! Instead he stayed inside and watched me mess with my truck. When I went inside and asked him why he was calling for a fuel pump for my truck and why he would not have come out to help he told me they were busy(which they were not) and if it was a fuel pump they would put it in for me for 150.00 plus 515.00 for the pump!!! So i towed the car home,ordered a fuel pump and too it to another shop in San Tan Valley and had it installed for 75.00 and the truck works fine now. BUT STILL HAVE THE BREAK PROBLEM. The manager refuses to refund my money for shotty break work(they never bled the lines right so thats why my brake pedal go all the way to the floor) but said he would give me a free oil change and fix my brakes right on the FOURTH try!!! BTW to fix the clunking noise the first time they screwed up,they put new brake calipers on for some reason!!! WHAT A JOKE THIS MANAGER AND THIS SHOP IS. Please dont take your cars and trucks there. Purchased 4 tires from Fletcher's a few months ago. Called last week to make an appointment for a tire repair and rotation. The Az Ave location gave me an appointment that afternoon to repair the tire but told my wife the rotation would need to be done the next morning (Saturday). When my wife took the car in for the tire repair, she was told they couldn't accommodate her the next morning although they had previously told her they could and then proceeded to tell her "they were pretty full" and she would just have to call back the following week to find time. He made it sound like it was her fault someone else had told her that and the location did nothing to accommodate the customer. In fact, he made her feel like it was her job to call back until they could make time for her. Later that day I called the company headquarters and left a detailed message. I never received a returned call. Sad there's no focus on customer service. I'm purchasing new tires for our other vehicle within the next couple of months and it won't be at Fletcher's. read more

With this particular location, I didn't have any problems with, except the job taking much longer than it should have. But I only was getting 4 new tires from these guys. I think the genreal consensus with Fletchers is, if your getting tires from them you'll be fine, but make SURE to instruct them not to go under the hood AT ALL for any reason what's so ever, if your getting work done under the hood even something as simple as an oil change you may be in trouble, with workmanship and or bogus estimates etc. I gave 3 stars because nothing was 'special' about the experience. They put tires on my car and they did it correctly, but I hardly think that deserves 5 stars from a 'tire shop'. I now take my car for ALL under the hood work to ONE place to avoid nonsense. I have had a terrible experience with another fletchers location tho but not this one, I think their work 'under the hood' as an entire franchise is hit or miss, but if you need tires ONLY and I do say ONLY check em out. read more

I also share the frustration of working with this branch of Fletchers as others that have posted reviews. This is a store to stay away from! I called the day before I wanted to come with a slow leak in a tire. Since the tires were purchased through Fletcher's, I took my truck there in case it would turn out to be a road hazard and under warranty. The apt was made for the next day at 11am through "Kenny". All good so far. When I came in at the appointed time, I was met by "Troy" who was rude, condescending, told me flat out I did not have an apt and he couldn't possibly get to the truck until 12 noon. I left it anyways and then the wait began. I called twice checking on the tire and after 4.5 hrs, I told them to get the truck back together, I am coming after it. I can't believe 4.5 hrs to check for a leak, change a valve stem and re-mount/balance a tire! I spoke to "Troy" on the phone during this time and when I asked him a question about the status, he told me in a rude manner,"how would I know, I am not back there!" That was when I told them to get the truck back together and I would come and get it. I would NEVER return to any Fletcher's, especially this store and I have no problem spreading the word about their lack of professionalism, lack of abilities, poor customer service, and just nasty staff. Made an appointment with this store for an oil change and tire rotation. Arrived early for the appointment. It took them at least an hour to get to my car (I actually saw it in the parking lot and thought it was done and when I asked at the counter they said it would be going back soon, this was at least an hour from my appointment time). Then it took them 2 more hours to do the oil change. When I complained, they told me that other people were waiting too. No apology and as if others having a terrible experience too was somehow justification. When they finally brought my car out after 3+ hours they did not even do the tire rotation! The mechanic (term used loosely) said that they could not rotate my tires because the wear was 5/32. I was so mad about the wait and their holding my car hostage all afternoon, that I did not argue with the tire guy. I later took my car to a real tire shop who had no issue with completing a tire rotation. I won't mention the serpentine belt they tried to sell me as they told me they just happened to be running a special on them. Be aware that most belts show minor cracking, either the tire guy does not know this, or they were running a special on them. I usually do not post feedback, however this was so awful that it truly warrants a warning to others. read more
