These folks were so super nice and they even went out the buy the parts that my car required. The sales rep, Jennifer, really took care of me and made sure she got me the best deal available. I didn't feel pressured to purchase any of the recommended services they suggested I eventually should consider. The technician, Mike, gave me a good explanation and timeline of when I should think about spending that money so that I could budget accordingly. Ultimately, I left the shop feeling empowered with the knowledge imparted on me about my car's functionality. Although the wait was not the shortest, the manager, John, provided me with an honest timeline of when they might be finished. I just went into mall and did some shopping. I think this Firestone Concord/PH is running a SCAM -- always recommend to purchase tires (of course a pair) even there is a very minor issue on A tire. We purchase our 4 tires in another Firestone in the Peninsula in 2016. We had just moved in the area about 6 months ago and recently noticed that a front tire (driver side) seems to be losing air. We added air on the particular tire for a couple of times. When the problem seem to be happening every 3 days, we decided to bring it to Firestone Concord/PH to take a look on a Sunday (April 29, 2018 at 2pm). The receptionist advised us that it would take a couple of hours until a service staff could take check it out. When they finally looked at the tire (after one hour wait), however, they looked at the WRONG tire and of course they said nothing wrong with it. I told them it's the wrong tire so, they looked again now the correct tire, comes back to us the "there is nothing wrong" with it and they reset the warning light. We were advised to better just purchase brand new tires at least 2 in the front. We waited 3 hours for this service telling us they did not find anything wrong on the tire. A week later on May 6, 2018 I took the vehicle to another tire center to take a look at the same tire and they found a nail in the tire and fixed it for under $35. I find it such a waste of time and money to deal with this Firestone as I feel they are scamming people to buy their tires. I would never go back to this one as I do NOT trust the idiotic people working there. Good luck dealing with these Firestone if you chose to. read more

I was in Concord (an hour away from home) when I discovered that I might have had a flat tire. A kind man helped me put my spare tire on my car, so that I could drive to a tire shop to get it checked. I initially went to Firestone. Bad mistake. I will never go there again. People at the front desk seemed annoyed with all of the people standing in line waiting for service, telling us that we should come back tomorrow. I explained my situation of being out of town, and having my baby with me. He still seemed put out that I would request this exception. After waiting for about 15 min more, he sent out a guy to go look at my tire. The guy seemed inconvenienced, and tried to once again convince me to "come back tomorrow." I reminded him that I was from out of town and would not be able to do that. He then tried to convince me to just drive home on my spare tire. Good grief! He pulled the tire out of my car and said it looked just fine, and that there probably wasn't anything wrong with it, but I would have to wait 3 hours before they could check it in the shop. I was persistent, so he checked the air pressure, and once again said it was fine. Frustrated with not receiving the quality of service that I was hoping for, I asked if he would just put my tire back on. He said there would be a charge, and once again, it would be a 3 hour wait. "Is that okay?" NO. That was not okay! With a baby in the back seat, and being far away from any friends or family that I could call, that was definitely not okay. I called Les Schwab Tire and told them the situation, and they were SO helpful. When I drove into the shop, I could tell that they were JUST AS BUSY, but they still were able to give me quality service. They checked my tires, and all four of them were pretty low, especially the spare tire that Firestone said I would be fine to drive on. I was in and out in no time, and they didn't even charge me. Wow! Thank you so much Jonathan for your superior customer service, and to the rest of the team! The people at the front counter and every other employee that I ran into had a smile and made me feel valued. Les Schwab, you just won a new customer, and Firestone, you just lost one. read more

My car had vibrations going down the highway and I took it here for an alignment and wheel balance, as these tires were on the car when we bought it. Had problems getting straight answers out of the guy when he took my order about how long the wait would be, this was probably my first sign I should've gone elsewhere. After only an hour (surprise we're done) they inform me they're charging me for the alignment only, that the tread on the tires was too worn for their policies to allow them to balance them. They said the tread was less than 2/32" on 3 out of 4 tires. I'm a carpenter that works with 1/16" (2/32") all day, and except for the shoulders which possibly showed extra wear from cornering, the majority of the tread was closer to 4/32". So they refused to do part of what I asked them to do, but I was not informed until after they did the alignment, instead of giving me the partial or nothing option. I understand certain alignment options on the car are not fine-tunable (factory) and unless they are way out they can't do anything, but other settings on the front were still in red on the alignment computer printout. The car now pulls to the left on the highway which it didn't even do before. read more

If you love your car! Do yourself a favor and don't ever come to this FIRESTONE location! Bad customer service. Poor mechanic work. I've only been here 2 times. So I bought the lifetime alignment for $160. because it sounds like a good deal. So I get my alignment done and he tells me, my camber are max out and I need a camber kit to fix the problem. I get the camber kit done by my personal mechanic. When I first got there, no lines at all. I'm walking towards the front desk where the manager is standing. I'm 6ft away from him and we both made eye contact. As I got closer, he picks up the phone, and puts his back towards me. He could of said, hey one moment and given me the index finger. I was like WTF was that?!?!? So the other guy help me out. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there. He just had a attitude the whole time he spoke to me. When I drop off my keys to him, I said, thank you. He didn't respond back. So I come back ready to pick up my car. The two same guys at the front desk. The manager was on the phone doing business and the other guy that helped me out earlier was also on the phone too. But he was on the phone with his girlfriend arguing about his work shifts doesn't match her schedule. We also made eye contact. I'm standing here for 2 minutes like WTF! Then he hangs up the phone after three people entered the shop. He goes what??? I said, I'm here to pick up my car. So he looks at the result paper, and tell me, we didn't do your alignment because your blot is stripped. Your mechanic stripped the bolt and we can't do anything to fix it! He blames my mechanic that I've been going for years F* UP! Told my mechanic this and he said, "I don't release cars half a**. Especially installing suspension because it can cause an accident and that's a liability. He said, I take the time to torque the bolts in. The guys at Firestone don't know what they are doing." I trust my mechanic! These guys didn't want to admit they were at fault. These guys lost my business and respect! AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

Be careful when stopping by this Firestone, they will try to upsell you on every little thing. I just moved from Washington and have always had my prior tire rotations done at the Firestone's in Seattle with no problem. I was due for my tire rotation so decided to stop by here to get them done since they were so close to my house. After dropping my car off I get a call from one of the staff about 30 min after I left, saying that everything in my car looks good, except that my oil is looking dirty and needs to be replaced. My vehicle is a 2013 model and I am very religious about changing my oil every 5K miles. Based on the mileage and time since last oil change I had about two months or 2k Miles to go before my next oil change. I just have to say that there is no way for anybody to tell if your oil is dirty or not because after you drive your car for a few days, there is no way your oil is going to be clear brown. So in essence everyones oil is going to be "dirty". Clearly these guys were trying to upsell me on an oil change which was completely ridiculous. I was so outraged I called Firestone HQ to complain about this and spoke w/ the "acting" manger on-site who was of no help at all. Just beware, these guys are very shady! read more

I brought my Lexus in for a routine tire balance/rotation after having 4 tires installed at another Firestone branch. During that visit, they apparently stripped my wheel lock key without telling me and let me go on my way. I had no idea until Jay informed me during my wait that the key was stripped and that the service could not be completed. Without me having to say a word, he informed me that the Lexus dealership had been called to place an order for a new one free of charge. He gladly accepted the mistake of the other store and asked if it was ok that I come back tomorrow after the new wheel locks and key had been delivered. I showed up a few days later to have the new wheel locks installed after receiving a friendly reminder from the store that the parts had arrived. The new parts were installed soon after my arrival which made up for me having to wait 2 hours for the initial service even after scheduling an appointment. All in all, the customer service that was provided to me was above and beyond what I was expecting, and they have won a customer for life. Thank you Devin and Jay. read more

First of all I've never been here before till today. I came in to this shop because of an allen wrench that punctured my rear driver side tire (i know out of all things!! Lol). Getting off work after 6 means every tire shop is closed by then. Except for Firestone (thank God). Anyway I went inside and I was met by a very nice Gentleman named Brendan i believe. He was very polite very knowledgeable and his customer service was excellent. Anyway long story short he saved me a tone of money and was completely honest and willing to do whatever possible to fix my problem without having to break the bank. I believe the person that worked on my car was named Richard? He also did an amazing job and was awesome on the work on my car. Cause of these two gentleman i will come back again. So, I'm a Critical Care Nurse that works nightshift. With my drive it comes out to be an 18 hour day. 16 hours working and 2 hours driving. Call FIRESTONE on Monday and state that I would like to get a tire rotation on the full set of tires I bought in December. I ask should I make an appointment or just come in. He states "if you get here early, like right when the doors open, it will be an hour to two hours max. So take off work two hours early so I can be there by 7:00 right when they open. 7:00 comes, I'm first one in. I state what I need done and the guy who btw doesn't so much as look at me let alone greet me. He says 3 to 4 hours atleast. I explain to him that I spoke to this store late Monday, less than 15 hours ago. Again doesn't aknowledge and doesn't even seem like he is listening. Again he states 3 to 4 hours. At this point I know I'm getting nowhere as he seems like he's in another world. I ask if the manager is here, he says yes. I ask to speak to him and he starts to pout like a 2 year old as he goes to get manager. Same guy comes back, apparently, manager has no interest in speaking to a customer who has an issue. (Note: At no point did I ever raise my voice or get upset the slightest). In hindsight maybe I should have. So again same guy I've been talking to comes back since the manager who is standing there talking to another guy laughing and bs ing. The man says 2 hours, that's it, I go what 2 hours. Barks at me, we will do oil change in 2 hours. I say what about tire rotation, barks again, that will be 4 hours. At this point I state I will go somewhere else. The amount of money I've spent at FIRESTONE over the last two decades both in Chicago where I was born and raised and in California where I moved in January 2016 makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. I couldn't even talk to a manager at 7:00 on the head when the place is empty. I'm glad I took off early 2 hours, 2 hours I have to make up tonight. What a flipping joke, embarrassed for them. I do not recommend this Firestone Tires 2NE1 I've had the worst experience and they do a courtesy check on other car maintenance such as windshield wiper blades if the windshields crack the fluid levels will my windshield is cracked in half they say it's fine they must have overlooked it my windshield wiper blades needs replacing they say they're totally fine my oil level was low they say it's okay they just check off without even checking the things courtesy check I don't think so I had to rear tires put on I live two miles away before I got home one of the belts on the engine came off causing power steering to go out they say they did nothing at all to cause that which I don't believe so no I do not recommend them at all read more

My wife brought the car in because the FRONT LEFT tire was flat. They checked the tire and told her that there was a nail in the tire and it needed replacing. She agreed to buy a new tire to replace the FRONT LEFT tire. They changed the BACK RIGHT tire instead. My wife noticed as she left the store that the low tire pressure light was still on. She called your store and they told her that it sometimes take some time for the light to reset. The next day the low tire pressure light was still on, and sure enough there was low tire pressure in the FRONT LEFT tire. When I got home I looked at the car and noticed they had changed the BACK RIGHT tire, which had no issues before seeing them. I brought the car back to the store, sure enough, there was still a nail in the FRONT LEFT tire and they fixed it for me. I had to pay for a new tire (which didnt need replacing) and a plug for the front left tire that did need fixing. No one will do anything to right the situation and manager will not call me back. read more

Went in to get a new valve on a tire and they threatened me to get two new tires saying that if I didn't they would throw my car in the lot and I can pay to tow it somewhere else. I asked them to replace one tire since all my tires were new and they said that it is Ca stat law that they have to replace two tires. Then I asked to keep my other tire and they didnt give it to me. When I asked them again the representative got angry and grabed it off the shelf and gave it to me. Why was my other tire on the shelf!? What kind of service is this! I feel so regretful right now! If I've known this site and read the reviews here about this store, I would never end up like this. Let's just make long story short: I went to this store for an oil change and the inspection check, then they called me about numbers of things that need to be repaired. I played stupid and allowed them to do them. Now I paid hella of money for things that can be done under $300. In addition, most of the items on their "must-do" list are not even necessary. We had a slight accident at the mall and it included a flat tire. Replacing my tire, the firestone employee noticed I didn't need a new tire and refunded my money.I appreciated his honesty. He also helped assess the other damage done to my car, and he went way above the call of duty and gave me the best customer service I ever had at a tire store. I live in Danville and am two blocks from a tire service center, but I woul go all the way to Pleasant Hill for the tremendous service I received. Awful experience with this place. Trying to get a battery replaced in my car. The Assistant Manager tells me to get an appointment. OK. I ask how long if I just bring my car in - 1 1/2 hour wait. So I get an appointment. Ask the guy how long of a wait with an appointment - SAME ANSWER - 1 1/2 hour wait. I ask why get an appointment - he launches into it is not his fault. They are very busy they have over 60 cars a day. Well not mine. Will find another place that is more responsive without all of the hassle. read more

On 12/16/13 I had an awful experience and was dreading going back to get my oil changed and alignment checked. I went in for my scheduled appointment and while discussing what needed to be done, I told them how horrible the service was last time. Jay was helping me and could not have been nicer. He immediately offered to comp my oil change and was so nice. My car was serviced and they even fixed the time on my clock (I have never figured out how to do it so this was really nice of them to do). They didn't try to upsell me and told me my car didn't need anything done to it (when I was at Big O they told me my brakes needed to be replaced...turns out they are at 50% and don't need to be changed. Jay, Moss and they guy that serviced my car were so awesome I picked up a coffee cake to thank them. Way better service than when I was in last time. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Customer service is poor. In the 3 times i went here, i was at the counter for about 5 minutes before a staff talked to me. No greetings or whatever. I took my car for wheel alignment. After I got my car, there was still something wrong with the alignment so i had to take it back. I was told waiting period was more than 2 hours so I asked for a next day appointment. I arrived 30 minutes before the appointment and was told that the car will be ready in an hour. After waiting at a nearby store for more than an hour, my car was still in the same spot where I left it and was told that i have to wait for another 30-45 minutes. What's the point of making an appointment???!!!!! Now i have to go back just to have them fix the wheel alignment. I wish i saw the reviews before I went to Firestone Concord. I came out of Macy's and had a flat tire due to catching a nail. Why was I at Macy's? I have a job interview in Palo Alto tomorrow at 9 am. Hello people this is pretty dire. Not a good situation for a single independent gal. I limped into Firestone with my flaccid tire and I dealt with a lovely gal named Jennifer who told me they couldn't help me due to It be closing time. BUT when I asked if I could ask the tech directly to ask him for help she said I could. I asked to put air in the now completely flat tire and she begrudgingly did. She never said the tire was beyond repair. Never looked at the nail. Nothing. So I stood there like an idiot and waited to beg the tech to please help me get the tire patched as I had a long drive the next morning. So. In walks Miss thing with her satchel purse flung over her like a farmgirl going to feed the chickens. Lovely professional looking piercings in her face but didn't catch her name. They thought I didn't see but I saw Jennifer usher her out into the driveway in front of my car and they hatched their story. Miss thing comes out looks at the tire and and tells me the tire NOW has to be replaced and talking to the tech is not possible and now that it's 6:56its far too late. Wth?!!!!! I could not have been nicer. I practically begged for help and here she was with her chicken feed satchel hugging her ass and saying to basically kiss off. It's too late. And if that was THE story why did I get the cock n bull about talking to the tech from the lovely Jennifer? In that short time I stood there I could have tried les Schwab down the street. They are always wonderful! (Natch firestone). Before I would return to this professionally run establishment I would drag by mothers dead body in a Macy's bag down contra Costa Blvd in a wagon. Well lets see where to start. They were out of all the selection of tires they commercialize on sites. You normally have to order them. They provide you with their tire recommendations, but they were also out of most. I ended up getting what they had available. My total was about $1100 - $1200 as i have a truck, and needed off road tires. Now, they tell you that if for any reason you can return them within 30 days, or certain amount of miles. I went back out of curiosity to see if its that easy, its not. First he said that wasn't possible, and that no customer has ever wanted to return such good tires. Then he spoke with a manager, and he wanted to know where i got that information, i guess he forgot he had told me when i purchased them. Also its written all over their paper work, and their commercials ? After i asked to speak with the manager, he goes to the back, and comes back and says yes you are right, just bring them back and we'll provide the refund. Why hassle with a customer over your own policy ? I kept the tires, but had to test, now you know. Another thing is that while i waited for my alignment other customers which had purchased tires were coming in for their current life time alignment , good god, they were kept waiting, some sent off because they claimed their machine was down. They have two machines, one for their current customers who purchase tires, the other for the ones who want to do an return alignment, good luck cause your just going to waste your time. I'm giving them two stars because the customer service was good, and their tires seem good, just hope they last. I won't be going back for an alignment any time soon obviously as i don't want to be placed like the rest of their returning customers. I'll pay my $ dollars or more somewhere else for a tire rotation and alignment check. Now this review is for this Firestone, at the Concord mall, not for all. This was my experience. Normally I only keep these reviews to Restaurants. But this is the second time my girlfriend and I have had a terrible time. Both times it was the same on site manager, and the same tech. The first time was back in summer/fall 2102. Our tire had gone flat and we refilled it at a gas station and limped it to Firestone. We told them the tire that needed to be done, got back and they replaced the WRONG tire. On top of that they stated we couldn't take it off, and to buy another tire. We did so after they raised our credit limit to cover said second tire. Today, March 16 2013. We went in for an oil change, an alignment and new wipers. They gave us an on time guarantee of two hours. So we went to the gym. Got back at 2 hours and we were told the alignment had not been done yet and the oil change had JUST happened. So, basically it took 2 hours to change windshield wipers. It took another 45 minutes to get the alignment done, after being told it would only take 20 more minutes. As we drove off, our car was making a horrible noise like they either had messed with the timing, or had punched a hole in the muffler. We stopped immediately in Safeway parking lot and I opened the hood, and low and behold, our oil cap was missing. Had we drove it to where we were headed, the oil would have been spewed out the hole and could risk blowing the head. All we got was an apology for our troubles. We will be contacting the company directly tomorrow. DO NOT LET ALEJANDRO WORK ON YOUR CAR... This is the second time he totally screwed up!! read more

I took my Nissan in couple weeks ago for oil change and asked them to check the noise i have been hearing when starting the engine in the morning but after warm up it seem fine.... They told me $29.95 for inspection and i said okay so i left the car there. They called after 4 or 5 hours and told me need a new battary so I said fine since the battery is low already, and i am aware of that.. When i went back to pick up my car I found out they were too busy and did not inspect the car instead it is obvious i needed a new battery but they did not come out tell me they didn't do inspection and still charging me for inspection fee of $29.95 - The reason i said that because I know the noise has nothing to do with the battery being low... Finally they cancel my inspection fee and told me to bring the car back for inspection later days. I went back few days ago since the noise is getting worse, this time they wanted $79.95 for inspection so i told him i was told only $29.95 and he said fine for visual inspection is $29.95, I told them i do not want a visual inspection and he said he will put the car up for a test for $29.95 after little while. So few hours later he called me and told me the car needed a new power stering pump it will cost $425.00 to replace. He also said the power stering fluid is dry, it leaks so needs a new power stering pump. At the same time I check around for a price for new power stering pump and one place told me only less than $300 but they wants to look at the car first to make sure the problem really is the pump. When i picked up my car from Firestone the noise is gone because he added the fluid so the car runs fine no noise at all... when I took to another place for inspection he told me they will steam clean to find out where the leak is it might not be the power stering pump since the noise has stopped. Then i realized Firestone did not run the test too busy? they wanted me to replaced the pump just because they saw the fluid is emptied. This is the second time when they told me they will put the car up for an inspection test but obviously they did not.. they just look at the emptied power stering compartment and decided to charge me for a new pump for $425.00. and so I paid for the inspection fee $29.95 and left - I will not go back to this place ever. They are irresponsible and rip off. read more

It was cool to find out about their appointment system unlike Antioch and Brentwood where it's a free-for-all-pick-it-up-at-closing. I called to schedule for a tranny fluid drain and fill NOT a flush and was greeted with a cheaper price than a flush at Brentwood. The guy in the counter was pushing for the flush but gave in since I wanted just a drain and fill. I mean, even if it's the same price as a flush, it's want I wanted, thanks for listening. Found fluid coupons online this morning out of curiosity and I think they sort of applied it on there on my bill after I showed it to them on my phone. ($30 each fluid service but I didn't see the exact amounts taken out). I was nervous that the printout said flush but when I picked up the car it said drain and fill along with my coolant change and alignment. Anyway they gave me what I wanted and my car feels amazing.
