They also let me know there were oil leaks in two other places, and if I didn't pay over $1700 to replace those parts, there would be severe engine damage. I ended up taking my car to the dealership and they did the work needed under warranty. At the end they told me they found no other issues with my car and, shockingly, no oil leaks!! I specifically asked about the two oil leaks Brakes Plus found and they told me that was absolutely not true. Incredibly disappointed Brakes Plus would do this as I have had positive experiences at other Brakes Plus locations. I would definitely get a second opinion on any work they recommend or avoid this shady business altogether. Edit: I contacted the email below as instructed TWICE, and received no response. This is a disgusting and business that does not want to talk to me because they know they are scammers!!

Identified these issues: check engine light, headlight that keeps burning out (told them its not…read morethe bulb, its wiring), a rear window that will not roll down from the driver's controls, windshield sprayer broken (can see the broken sprayer nozzle on the hood). I was charged a couple hundred for electrical diagnostics, only for them to replace the bulb (which went out again in 4 days, as I said, its a wiring issue). They wanted another couple hundred to diagnose the sprayer issue, even though I told them the sprayer on the hood is broken and its visible. They fixed the check engine light from a faulty oil pressure switch. When I returned a week after my initial visit for the 2nd round on the headlight, I am now told its a TIPM which will cost ~$2k to replace. Window was never addressed. I will be doing both the sprayer and TIPM myself for $750, a $1200 savings. Refurbished/programmed TIPMs are available online for $700

I told them my concern about my brakes and they ok no problem let us take a look. In all seriousness I really thought the next time I hit my brakes there gonna fail. A Midas mechanic came back to me 15 mins later and said I still had plenty of coverage on my pads and I would be fine for now. What?!?! As a woman I feel I'm always being taken advantage of with mechanics but on that day I knew there was only one place I would ever take my car again! Fast forward to today. Two people approached me and said my brake light was out. No hesitation I called Midas immediately and made an appointment. Again the waiting room was welcoming and the mechanic was friendly! I was also cognizant that there were 2 other women there besides me! The Midas guy was on it and said he could fix it in the parking lot no less! Done in just a few mins and I was on my way! I decided to go ahead with all the work he had worked with me and gave me an awesome discounted price to get the work done before the tariffs affected the car parts and service. After the work was completed, I drove off happy and singing. I stepped on the gas and by changing the spark plugs I had more power. I also had the firing system cleaned out as well as putting new shocks and struts and aligning my four-wheel-drive. I took my hands off the steering wheel For probably 100 yards and it didn't pull to the left/right they had brighten and enlightened my day and my car is running and driving and operating as I just bought a brand new one off the floor at the dealership I would definitely highly refer anyone going in and getting service And tire repair, etc. with Midas any of their mechanical repairs and needs. Also, when I asked about the advertised, "FREE 12-point inspection", no one knew anything about it, and when the new front desk person asked the mechanics, they didn't know about it either; they did offer to call me with details (of which I haven't received yet.)
