I waited a whole 45 minutes before they told me they couldn't get to my car for one reason or another. They then had the audacity to ask if I wanted to reschedule. So I wish I would've made this review earlier, but I did not. Of course, does not invalidate my experience at this firestone. So I had a $900+ work done on my vehicle, which also included an oil change... Within the next day, I had a service engine light come on. They proceeded to do additional test on my vehicle, and they cannot find anything wrong. I was also told that I needed to drive my car a little bit, so it would remove the check engine light. That did not occur. I had a blinking check engine light, matter of fact when it came to my vehicle . A few days later, I experienced issues with my car... I have kept up-to-date with my vehicle, never had issues for over seven years, then when I took it there, something occurred... It is possible that I have a Balti engine, which is known for the type of vehicle model that I have, but the fact that they couldn't find anything wrong with it was absurd. Makes no sense to pay so much for your vehicle, for you to be told, a couple of times that there was nothing wrong. And to note, I did not just indicate to them one time about the check, engine light, but it was more than twice. Never bringing my vehicle outside of my dealership ever again. read more

I'd give them a "0" but that wasn't an option! For TWICE in a row this location has jacked me, not to mention an other at their Dairy Ashford location. Dropped truck off in the AM for their Lifetime Rotation and Road Hazard service, only to have them fail to finish the work until after closing, or not at all (I was at a 4pm hard stop and I told them that). Either don't use this location, or hesitate to buy their service policies, for they must bump you to the bottom of their service list, while promising otherwise. read more

I brought my car here because I was smelling gas. The technician was reckless and careless. He created a larger problem by rushing through the job. It's clear he's incompetent. When I arrived I was slightly smelling gas. when I left, the entire car reeked of gas and now has a leak. He also ruined my peanut butter seats by carelessly putting grease and oil all over them, rather than covering them. They screwed up heavily. In fact, my car was sent home without even acknowledging the damage done. I had to notice it and make a call to action. The manger, Stephanie, didn't offer apology. Initially her attitude was "what do you want me to do?" Her attitude changed when her area manager was present. Ultimately, they reimbursed me $160 to get my seats cleaned and they couldn't remove all the stains. I took my car to another location to repair what they couldn't. Ok so I came yesterday 04/25 at around 11:00 am asking how long it'd take to put freon in my car and Moses the "Manager" told me 30 minutes, left and came back to drop off my car at 1:30 pm and they said the systems said it'd be ready around 3:00 pm, 4 o clock and nothing, called the store and Moses said it wasn't ready yet and that they'd call me when they're done, not until next day at 10 in the morning is when I get a call form them saying that the car was ready pretty much forcing me to take an uber to get to work yesterday cause I had to be there by 5:00 pm and another one home at 3:00 am cause they never even take the second to call me to let me know that whatever happened that the car would stayed there overnight, came today at 2:20 pm walking, asked for the manager and Moses was there again, lyed saying that there were problems with the A/C and that was the reason the car took too long but when he asked one if his employees he said that there were no issues with the car and that they were done yesterday at 7:00 pm, once again no call, no notice, no sign of care or customer service at ALL, all Moses said was I'm sorry and that he "HOOKED ME UP" with the price since they had to put a lot of freon in the car because it was empty, which I clearly stated to him in the beginning since I had to change the condenser and that I knew it was empty, that's why I went there in the first place, terrible experience at this firestone read more

Firestone got them shipped from a different location but they were at the store within a few hours. Apparently my tire size was not very common. Was able to pick up the car later that day. On a Sunday while I was driving, I received a warning signal that the engine temperature was high. I parked, opened the hood, and noticed that the coolant hose had a hole and was leaking. Since it was a Sunday and most mechanic shops were closed, except for Firestone, I started calling the nearest locations. I explained the problem, and they outlined what it would take to fix it and the estimated cost for replacing the hose. They also mentioned that there might be additional issues discovered, but at least I would know the budget for this specific repair and have the option to decide how much additional work, if any, I wanted done. The issue with the shops I contacted was that none of them had a certified mechanic on duty since it was a Sunday except one, which was 20 miles away. I then found a location at Westheimer and Sage Rd. (5300 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77056) that was only 2 miles away. I called the store and asked if they had a certified mechanic working that day and explained that I needed a repair for my coolant system. The representative confirmed they could handle it that day, which was a relief since I didn't want to drive far and risk further engine damage. When I arrived and spoke with the representative, I explained the issue and mentioned that I had called other stores but chose theirs because it was the closest one was 20 miles away. I expressed my relief at not having lost the engine. The representative, seeing my desperation on a Sunday with no other options, informed me that there would be a $72 charge just to inspect the vehicle. If I decided to proceed with the repair, the $72 would NOT be applied to the final cost. Additionally, if they found multiple issues, they would either fix everything or nothing at all, due to liability concerns. This meant that a $150 job estimated by other shops could end up costing $1,000, EXCLUDING the $72 diagnostic fee. I told him that no other shop had imposed these conditions and that I only wanted the hose replaced, taking responsibility for any additional issues that might arise. He then insisted that either all the repairs be done or none at all, and warned that driving the car could lead to severe engine damage. He also mentioned that towing the car to another shop would cost several hundred dollars more, in addition to the repair costs at any other shop. Given my situation, he suggested it would be better to accept his terms and spend the amount he proposed. I understand that there are greedy people everywhere who try to take advantage of others' situations, but what I don't understand is when an employee exploits a customer, in a similar middle-class situation, just to benefit the business owner who is likely living in mansion and driving an exotic car. I hope your corporate office addresses this issue and emphasizes the importance of being a decent person before focusing on adding more to the owner's bank account. read more

They convinced him he needed rotor replacements on every axle for a car in pristine condition; didn't even offer to simply resurface the rotors. I was quoted about 45mins but honestly was in and out in probably less than 25mins. They did quote $100 for a diagnostic which I declined because I was sure I'd be paying for a problem they couldn't find and would still need to make a trip to a dealership. Unbelievably OUTSTANDING! Most of the time, you worry about whether you'll receive great service or the vehicle will be completed correctly; but none of those worries apply here! This location truly understands and gets what customer service is all about. My wife had to get her tires replaced, and they worked with her to make sure she got the best possible tire for the most affordable price. However, during the replacement of the tires, the mechanics took an extra initiative to recognize and advise her on an additional service she needed on a blown rear brake light. They didn't charge her or do the service, but rather asked if she wanted it. When she didn't have time to do it that day, they offered to do it for free the next day because she had to wait a little longer than initially indicated. She was so impressed with the service, that she brought the vehicle back to get her temperature valve replaced (the thing that cools your vehicle while it's running). On the day she came to pick up the vehicle, she had an appointment to get to at 9:30 am and they had her vehicle ready to go! Since I had the opportunity to come with her, they let me take care of the bill and gave her the keys to go so she wouldn't be late. It gave me the chance to get my vehicle inspection done. So while I waited, I conversed with Chris and Froso. They (together) are the epitome of customer service and great demeanor. We chatted the entire time I waited for my inspection, but they were also attentive to every single customer that came in, in-between our conversations. What was most impressive, was listening to Chris know the exact details and name of a customer that called the day before and came into the center to get the repairs done to her vehicle. I have never had a better experience with any auto shop. I have owned Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan, and BMW, but none of their customer service standards can ever outdo the experience we had with this location and the great service we received from Froso and Chris! Brought it in at my appointment time only to have to wait an hour and a half just to get my oil changed. My question to the staff is, what is the point of making an appointment if you're still making people wait an hour and a half for an oil change to get done? Walmart does it for the same amount of time and there's no appointment BS to go through. Also, I do my own oil changes in my personal car and it takes me less than 30 minutes without all the tools you have available. After the oil was done an hour and a half later, my car was still on lifts because the car needed to get new tires and Chris, staff member, needed corporate to approve new tires. He never said I could reschedule and come back later since it was going to take a while. He just had my car there without a care in the world and without thinking if I had the time. After 2 hours hours of being there waiting I just decided to ask for the car back and leave. The oil change was done but the tires were not inflated till the last second and the valve caps never went back on. I drove off and not 10 minutes later does my dashboard display a message saying "Oil Change Needed." Now, every time I turn on the car and I see that message, it just reminds me of what a crap job they did when i visited. Firestone ruined the bolt on my oil tank by forcing the bolt off. What was once a hex shaped bolt is now a smooth circle. The fellows showed me here before they even touched it. Here, they will be able to get the bolt off but wouldnt be able to use it afterwards. They're going out of their way to repair this damage caused by this terrible shop. I'm a Detroiter by birth, now a Texan by choice, but still loyal to old familiar brands, even if I still remember the horrible Firestone tire debacle. Not Firestone anymore. Never. Nov 19th 2021 I took my car to Firestone complete auto care at 5300 Westheimer Rd. Houston Texas 77056 for a full synthetic oil change. I dropped the vehicle off and walked back to my place of work which is directly across the street from the location. The service associate who checked me in called me shortly after dropping off my vehicle, she let me know that there was a nail in my left rear tire and that it needed to be patched. She also stated the tires had uneven wear and the car would also need an alignment. I told her that when I dropped the car off there was no indication from the vehicle that the tire pressure was low, and that the vehicle had run flat tires equipped, so that I would need to take it to a Mazda dealership to have anything other than just the oil change completed. She let me know that they would proceed with the oil change and that I should be able to pick up the car shortly. The oil change was completed, and I picked up the vehicle at 6:10pm and drove home. I live 1 mile from the location. Later that evening I left my house and while I was entering the freeway black smoke began pouring from the tailpipe of the car engulfing the motorists behind me. The car began to lose power rapidly. I put the car in neutral and coasted off the freeway and into the nearest parking lot and shut the car off. After letting the vehicle cool down, I checked the engine oil dipstick and noticed that the technician had double filled the engine with oil. I called my insurance company; they towed the vehicle to the dealership and the car is now pending inspection. The next morning, I called the service center to notify the manager. She asked me where the car was and that they needed the car immediately back at their garage. I let her know there was no way I could let them touch the car after the experience that I had at that location. The only resolution I see is to have Mazda look at the work that was done and determine the next steps. She ended the conversation and told me she would call back. Never reached out from there. I was able to get someone from corporate to reach out to me by messaging the executives of Bridgestone via email, LinkedIn, calling the corporate switchboard multiple times a day. There is a customer retention specialist assigned to the case but they have no idea what the possible resolution would be and they can't get me a car in the meantime. They also have no timeline for resolution. I saved to buy this car for 8 years. I purchased the used car just 58 days ago. There are only 40,286 miles on the odometer. This is the very first oil change I have had done on the car. Whatever they did to the car, they ruined it. It was perfect before I let them touch it. Firestone galleria (5300 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77056) location is very bad. Left the car for rear wheel puncture. I got phone call with many recommendation. I only allow front wheel hub bearing roaring issue. After completion of work, I took car and start drive and found some noise. I take U turn and immediately return back to fire stone. Now they said noise is coming from right front bearing and asking double amount (they said first estimation 351$ for left front bearing was wrong, so now it 600.00$) to fixed front bearing & hub. After quality Inspection by Area Manager, he did not know which tire they fix for puncture and which wheel has bearing issue. I ask Area manager (Mr. Court) to provide the contact information. He refuse to provide and said he is the higher manager. AREA MANAGER PASS THIS MATTER TO CLAIM DEPARTMENT FOR THIRD PARTY INSPECTION (WHICH WAS PERFORMED AT FIRESTONE) FOR BEARING CHANGE CORRECT WAY OR NOT, INSTEAD OF DIAGNOSES HAVE DONE CORRECT OR NOT. Do not waste your time and money there,the mechanics do not know what they are doing here. i took my car to diagnose what the issue was,and as typical Firestone would do they generated a huge bill for all miscellaneous stuff to be taken care off(fine not an issue as long as you find the primary issue with car). BUT they main issue with the car they told me wasnt even the issue. They told me the differential of the car is messed up, then i went to 2 other mechanics and both of them said the differential is fine,its the transfer case that is messed up. One Sunday my car displayed a low tire pressure warning. Worried that I might have a puncture I brought it to Firestone as it was one of the few places open on the weekend. The attendant that "assisted" me checked the pressure of each tire and told me there was nothing wrong and one of my tire sensors must be malfunctioning. Skeptical of this I bought a tire gauge and found one tire 10 PSI under the rest. Went to an air pump, added air in myself, and the warning light disappeared. The next morning I dropped by Discount Tire to have them check for any issues (just in case). They put my car on a lift, checked all of the tires, and even made sure they were at the proper PSI. All of this was done at no cost too. Since the staff at Firestone couldn't recognize a glaring difference in pressure or just couldn't be bothered to care. I have no intention on returning there for any other service issues in the future. read more

I showed up at this Firestone trying to get my brakes fixed because they were sticking horribly. I explained that they were so hot, water immediately evaporated on impact. They were happy to help. Rewind a couple years ago, I got a completely new set of brakes at a Firestone where I used to live. I also paid for (included in the price) a LIFETIME warranty on both parts and service. Yesterday, I tried to get my brakes done. Dropped my car off at noon and got a phone call a few hours later with the run down. "Your brakes are in horrible shape, all of the fluids have burned, and you're dealing with virtually all rust." And I said "perfect, my warranty should cover all of that" and he said "unfortunately, your warranty only covers the brake pads themselves". I have the paper in front of me and the warranty includes everything. They just didn't want to lose money. The guy I spoke to said that he would call the original Firestone and find out why this happened. A couple hours later, I received a call from the service manager, Sam. He said the original Firestone messed up and he saw that they used refurbished parts. He said there was nothing they could do. He told me that I personally need to contact them and figure it out myself. So now the whole thing is on me. It doesn't matter where I originally got my brakes done, all firestones should HONOR their policies! I should not be the one at fault here and have to pay well over $1000 for new brakes when I JUST got new ones 2 years ago! read more

I've been here a dozen times so far for our company vehicles over the years. Since repairs are a tax write-off and it's company cars, we like to go to a semi-reputable place, but personally I would rather buy my parts and go to a small shop and get repairs done for 1/4th the price of Firestone. I think they're at least as expensive as the dealership without any benefit other than being in a central location. What bothers me the most is the upselling. You go in for squeaky brakes and they tell you everything needs to be changed. Fine. I don't know how to tell whether calipers are good or not and wouldn't want to risk having faulty brakes so whether it's true or not, I'll be a sucker and say yes. But then they say the shocks need to be changed and I have to call BS on that so it reaches the point where I don't trust their diagnostics and can't tell whether something really needs changing or it's an upsell. At least with the dealership, they are usually very precise in what needs changing. If I had time to kill, I'd almost want to take the car to the dealership for a diagnostics (for a fee), and then somewhere else for the actual repairs. But I don't have that kind of time. So, if you have to come here, question everything. Ask whether something really needs changing and insist on them showing you the part. Also, add about 50% to any time frame they give you. read more
