Awful results. I bought four new Firestone tires for my Toyota. After the tires were installed the tire pressure indicator on my dash stopped working. It worked perfectly before the tire change. The salesmen said that it did not work because the pressure transmitter batteries had died and they would replace the pressure transmitters for $80 each tire plus labor. read more

New front struts were installed. They did an alignment and my tires began to rub. Took it back to fix the rubbing issue. The so-called expert technician said " I put it back to factory specs". My truck has had a leveling kit since I bought it 5 years ago with same size tires and all. He arrogantly says to me you should get smaller tires. What an absolute ignorant thing to say ! We looked at his work sheet and saw that he moved the casters back towards the inside of the fenders to where it was rubbing ! When asked him why he did that seeing that was the reason I brought it back second time ? He said that hey it's at factory specs according to the computer. I asked him if the computer was told the tires were rubbing the back inside of the fender and he said that he didn't have to explain to me anything. Obviously because he's the "expert "... Firestone will never see me or anyone that can find another place to get an alignment ! This was the most disrespectful treatment I've ever experienced in a very long time. I have lifetime balance and was charged for it. In order to get a refund, the manager required me to take time out of my schedule to return to the store. Due to the incompetence of the staff, I was required to spend time correcting their mistake. After the oil change, the light was not reset. When brought in, there was no low tire pressure indicator on, yet upon picking up my car, it was. The manager said he is proud of his team, and you would be too, if you value incompetence! read more

This location in particular was much better than others but I don't think a $200 LIFETIME alignment job even on a lifted 3/4 ton truck is expensive at all. They stand behind it too. In fact I noticed a wobble more than normal and thought alignment and went to one Firestone and they said next week before they could get to me...called this one and they made time for me that day and ended up finding and fixing the problem that was not alignment after all for free. I have been there a few times and have generally been satisfied with their service on our car. However, when I went there last week (this is during the covid-19 pandemic, for future readers) I was extremely disappointed that none of the staff was wearing a mask, even when interacting with customers. And even though I was clearly using a portable oxygen concentrator and standing well away from other waiting customers, the counter person made no effort to practice social distancing. I had to back away when he approached me in the waiting area to discuss my repairs. This is a serious disregard for customer safety and I will not be back. read more

NEVER bring your car here. All I need was a simple battery change and replacement of a lower front control arm -- which they did. However as soon as I got the car to drive home, it began stalling out at red lights (which it has never done before) they told me this was a coincidence it started doing this as soon as I left their lot, however I think all of the other 1 star reviews that say they left with their car worse than when they started aren't all coincidences either. They refused to refund my money I spent on the initial repair and then EVEN tried to charge me more to fix a problem they created. Its clear that this Firestone and the technicians that worked on my car either know absolutely nothing or are just crooks. And to top the cake off, the technicians(Joseph and Anthony) who I interacted with were extremely rude about the whole ordeal and even began yelling at me over the phone telling me it was my fault the car is stalling as soon as I got it from them. read more

where to begin...we dropped a punctured tire off there at 12:30 pm. Jimbo says it'll be fixed in a half an hour, so we call in half an hour. They've not gotten to the tire yet. We call back half an hour later, but Jimbo went out to get some parts and Dusty McGee doens't know where the tickets are. We go to the store two and a half hours after the first drop off and subsequent promise to have the tire fixed in half an hour, and Jimbo informs us that filling a tire puncture is against Firestone's policy. So, the moral of this story is that the morons that work at Firestone will take five times longer than previously estimated to tell you that they don't know what they're doing and then try to sell you a $200 tire to make up for it. I had my brakes worked on I told thim to put OEM original Ford parts on and they didn't they put the wrong pads on the first time they put a poor quality pad on the second time it run my rotors then I had to buy new pads and new rotors I would not recommend these people to anybody what they do is try to find something wrong with it and exploit it to charge you more money and make you feel like if you don't do it you're being unsafe read more

I hate to be the type to write a review, but it took 30 minutes longer than they told me after I have already been waiting an extra 20 minutes. I came a little before 5PM and it is now 6:30. Drove an hour and a half for this appointment seeing as it's the closest Firestone and when I got there they didn't have the tires in stock. I have family in the Lubbock area two of whom were hospitalized back in February unexpectedly. As I left Denver in a big hurry I stopped on my way out of town and had a quick inspection of my tires as one was low....no problem found, air was added and I went on my way. It was slippery, snowy and icy all the way to Texas and when I got in I noticed the same tire was low again. I took care of my family and during a quick break I stopped by the Firestone at 50th and Indiana to check the tire and a squeal that had developed. The store manager - Bill - drove it, had a tech take a look at it and get work started even though it was quite busy. He knew I needed to get back to the hospital. Truly amazing, compassionate customer service. During the time I was there so many customers came in and greeted the manager by name - I could tell that this is one of those hometown places that take good care of people. Long story short, there was a screw in the tire all along (and I knew I needed new tires anyway) and I needed new brake pads. They got me in and out and into the very best 80,000 mile tires, oil change & brake pads at a very reasonable price. Got back to Denver safe and sound and noticed a huge difference in the smoother ride on the way back. I write my review now because I just made another trip to Lubbock on this set of tires this last weekend for my son's College Orientation. This is now his car. We encountered torrential rain, wind, along with marble and golf ball sized hail on the trip out in the middle of the night and on the trip back to Denver. No hydro-planing...no slipping...smooth control while other vehicles were all over the road. These tires likely kept us safe and alive. I went back to the 50th & Indiana Firestone to have the oil changed and say thanks. Once again I was greeted with outstanding customer service by Bill and Steve-- who remembered me -- and the car was done in about 20 minutes for less than I pay at Grease Monkey in Denver! The store manager made sure my son knew that if he had any car problems while he was at Texas Tech this Fall to call this Firestone and they would help him out. I am so grateful to know he has a trustworthy and reliable "car guy" in Bill and his team. My only complaint is that I can't move this Firestone to Denver!! read more

Its all in the management! I used the Firestone near the mall for years and had great service with them. Till management changed and it got awful. I found one of the former managers moved to this location and he still "WOWs" in his customer service. Goes out of his way to fairly price things. I missed a sale on tires that were quoted for me due to my brother's funeral. I arrived a week after the sale and was offered the price I was quoted. I get treated like I am THE repeat customer they want coming back and I could not be happier with them. read more

Have never had a problem with this Firestone. My car would not start and took it here because this is where I had bought my battery. After looking at the car, I was told the starter was the problem and it would be $315. I agreed to the work because I would be without a car without it. I got a call an hour and a half later and was told there was a problem with the wiring and there would be no need to change out the starter. I applaud them for their honesty, and believe any other business would have just gone ahead with the work for the compensation. I had a flat on my F-250 on the 3rd of December. At the time I noticed that flat, I realized that it was time for me to buy some new tires. So I was telling a few friends of mine at work that I needed to buy some tires, and I was referred to Firestone in Lubbock. I called the next day and spoke with a gentleman, who identified himself as Bill and he was the manager. We spoke for about 10 minutes and he made me a great deal on some new tires and advised me of their hours of operation. I will be heading up there on Saturday to get my new tires. I didn't believe them and took it to another place, DIscount Tires, and they said the tires looked really good for the number miles on them. So don't go to this Firestone. I would give this place 0 stars if I could! I have visited this place twice and have been extremely disappointed both times! Making an appointment to get my car worked on is an absolute joke. I have had to wait over two hours both times I have gone in to get my oil changed. The first time I went, the store was a little busier than expected so I understood why I had to wait so long (even though I had an appointment). The second time I went, there were literally no other customers in the store and maybe a vehicle or two in the garage. They still took about 30 minutes to start working on my car and then took another hour and a half to finish working on my car. With all the time I wasted at this location, I probably could have changed my oil myself. I also had an appointment the second time, which was pointless. Another note, I was not even greeted when I walked into the store! I had to walk up to the counter and grab someone's attention to tell them I had an appointment. To top that off, the guy was extremely unwelcoming and rude! I do not recommend this location to anyone unless you have a day to waste and have time for ignorant workers! read more

They gave me a great deal on my new tire, and they even knocked $33 off the price! They checked in with me throughout the process, so there were no surprises when I came to pick up my car. I just called and spoke with a gentleman named Matt. I'm here visiting from Arlington, Tx. & I had work done in Arlington prior to my visit here to Lubbock. I was told in Arlington that I needed break pads & there's currently a $50 coupon that they would apply to ticket...I didn't ask, they told me about the coupon. I called Firestone here in Lubbock & spoke to Mat about getting my breaks serviced here....he said he would try to get it done by the end of the day today, it's currently 10:25am on a Saturday. He said he only had two technicians working today and I needed to have the car there within the hour. He didn't say anything about the $50 off coupon & when I asked him about it he said he "thinks" there such a coupon and if there is I needed to bring it in...why wouldn't he first, tell me about the coupon as they did in Arlington, & why would I have to bring in a copy to this location???? This store has the same capabilities as the one in Arlington, right???? His tone on the phone when I brought up the discount completely changed. I won't be taking my vehicle to this location EVER. My experience at Firestone was horrible. I took it in because my engine kept starting and stopping, an issue I believed to be with the starter. I took it to firestone because they were open on a Sunday and I wanted it fixed for work the next day. I specifically told them to check the starter. They get back at me a few hours later saying the starter was fine, but I needed a new bearing on my tire. I think "sure, why not. Anything to keep my tire from falling off." They say they'll have it done by closing. They didn't have it done by then because they ordered the wrong part. The next morning, when it was suppose to be done, an inexperienced technician had fitted the new part wrong and destroyed it. So, that's another half a day to get another part and put it on correctly. The next morning, when I was suppose to get my car, these incompetent people broke my driver's side window. I go in and, as courteously as possible, tell the sales manager I want my car back, fixed, by the next morning or I would be a very unhappy customer. The next morning I get a very rude, blunt call saying my car was repaired. It basically went like this, "Thi is Firestone, your car's ready. *hangs up before I can say anything*" I arrive, the manager was as rude as possible, slamming down my keys. Perhaps this is the good cop, bad cop routine they give to people who complain (the sales manager being the butt-kisser and this manager being the threatening one). We basically get into it; apparently he was angry at me and my car because of the out of pocket expenses his shop had to pay to fix it... expenses they caused! It basically ended with him threatening physical violence to me and my friend if we didn't leave. A few days later, my car was having the same issues that I took it into Firestone for, again. I take it to Scott's Automotive, you know what they found? My starter was damaged and needed to be replaced. Haven't had an issue with it since Scott's took a look at it. Moral of the story? This is a great bunch of guys! My daughter's car broke down the night before we were moving her back to Austin from Texas Tech for the summer. The gentlemen working on her car worked hard to diagnose and fix her car as quickly as they could so that we could get on the road that day. We appreciated their hard work and effort.
