2nd tire injury in 2 months. No problem. Handled by Bryce at Firestone!
    S W.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I'm amazed that the Manhattan Beach location is not busier than it is, because they are so amazing and professional! Bryce and Alan and Henry got my tire job done and, as always, at a fair price (far more reasonable than any other place I've seen, and I am, admittedly, a bit of a car girl). I love recommending them, because they never do me or my friends dirty. Good job guys, Again!

I have been going to this location for three years, but I've been going to Firestone for over a decade for my repair needs. For about two and a half of those years, I had very few issues and the staff was generally pleasant. Most of the problems have started within the last six months. Six months ago, I went in for an oil change and an alignment. This was a standard service. The first thing they did was try to upsell me on a new battery. I had replaced my battery one month prior. When I asked them to show me the battery readings, they refused. They also tried to upsell me on several fluids and a cabin filter replacement without showing me the condition of my current cabin filter. Before the service even began, I told them very clearly that I did not want to be sold anything and that I only wanted an oil change and an alignment. We went back and forth for five minutes before they finally gave me my keys back. Strike one. The next issue involved a TPMS sensor replacement. They quoted me $185 per sensor and told me over the phone that they would price match any competitor, guaranteeing they are the lowest price out there. I obtained a quote from Big Brand Tires for $103 per sensor. I called Firestone back and explained that I had a printed invoice showing the lower price. They refused to acknowledge that they had made this guarantee and told me the price was not negotiable. Strike two. Yesterday, I called to get a quote for an engine tune up. They put me on hold for twenty minutes. I called back and was told they were very busy, but that if I left my number they would call me back within half an hour that afternoon. I left my number and never received a call. Today, I called again for a quote. The person who answered said he needed to get the service manager and then put me on hold for nearly thirty minutes. Since I was already in El Segundo, I decided to drive to the shop while still on hold because this had become ridiculous. Two minutes before I arrived, the call dropped after sitting on hold for so long. When I walked into the shop, there was a single employee sitting behind the desk with no customers around him. He was not helping anyone and did not appear busy. I told him that I had been left on hold for nearly thirty minutes. He offered no apology and barely acknowledged the issue. He then spent ten minutes putting together an incomplete engine tune up quote that did not include all of the services I would likely need, clearly setting things up to upsell me later. To make matters worse, there was a sign posted in front of the computers that read, "The best experience begins on the phone." Based on my experience over two consecutive days, that statement is laughably ironic. Strike three. They are out. I am no longer willing to give Firestone any more of my money, and I have been their customer for over a decade. The only reason I may return is because I prepaid years ago for a lifetime alignment when I bought my car. If they attempt to upsell me during that visit, I will tell them to stop and give me my keys. If any other shop offers a comparable alignment program, I will never return to Firestone again. For the sake of encouraging better customer service, I strongly recommend that potential customers avoid Firestone, especially the Manhattan Beach location. Getting a car repaired is already an unpleasant experience, and this location seems determined to make it worse rather than better. 2/26 UPDATE JUST FOR KICKS: I was reached out to by the store manager, who offered really nothing more than apologies. No incentives. No reason for me to trust them as a service provider for my car. Although it was a friendly gesture, it didn't really remedy anything. I was basically offered the same thing from the BS "socialcare@bfrc.com" e-mail response to my Yelp review: "we are sorry for the inconvenience." They are really doing a good job of cementing my stance that I will not be using them again.

So I booked my appointment online which was smooth and effortlessly. When I arrived the guy at the counter greeted me and looked up my reservation. The waiting area was the typical size of one of these locations. Wasn't huge but it did have refreshments as you wait. The labor fee was costly but the job was done well and in a timely manner.

I didn't see this today. The people here don't even greet you when you come in nor smile.

Got my tires here 3 years ago. Came in with a flat tire today at 8:40 am. I was told I'll get out of here by 11:30am. They didn't get to my car until past 11am. They are unable to "fix" the tire. I was told I need to get a new one and they have to get it from their warehouse. Nobody smiles here.

Pittstop replaced the tire within 30 minutes of me dropping off my car but forgot that I had requested a tire rotation. Upon reminding them that I ordered a tire rotation, they completed that within an hour. As part of their tire rotation service, they filled the air of each tire. Within 30 minutes of driving away, my car detected that the psi (air pressure) for one of my tires was low and decreasing incrementally. I parked my car to attend an event for an hour and assumed that the psi reading was just a system error that would reset once I restarted my car. Upon restarting my car, the psi was lower and at a dangerous level (my car screen had a warning message advising me to park my car). I called Pittstop letting them know about this problem, that I could hear air leaking from one of the tires, and that I'm on my way back to the shop. In the 15-mile ride back to Pittstop, I had to stop at 2 gas stations to fill air in the tire for fear that it would fully deflate as I was driving the road. It was extremely dangerous and unnecessarily stressful. Upon arriving, they inspected the tire and realized that the pin for the tire was broken. I asked one of their mechanics how it was broken and they just said, "it just happens.... who knows?" They didn't accept any responsibility for failing to hear that air was leaking from that tire (which was obvious as soon as you removed the plastic cap) or checking whether the pin was broken or not. These are simple post-repair diagnostics a mechanic should do to protect the safety of their customers. I am extremely disappointed in my experience here -- particularly given how dangerous the situation could have been if I did not have a car that had technology to warn me when air pressure is dangerously low.

Not only were all four of my tires in rough shape, but I was also dealing with a serious axle issue. Most places would've either overcharged, taken forever, or flat-out turned me away. Not these guys. The team at Globe Tire handled everything flawlessly. They fixed all four tires, repaired the axle (which is no small task on a Land Rover), and went the extra mile by using balancing beads to ensure everything was riding smooth and properly balanced. They also dialed in the alignment perfectly--my car honestly drives better now than it has in years. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, honest, and easy to talk to. They kept me in the loop the entire time with clear communication, no surprises, and zero pressure. It's rare to find a shop that combines this level of technical skill with such genuine customer care. If you're looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and all-around solid tire shop, Globe Tire is the place to go. I won't be taking my car anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Fair enough. I stood there patiently at the front desk for about five minutes, fully visible, and got absolutely no acknowledgment. No glance, no gesture, no wave. Nada. With the clock ticking and closing time creeping, I went back to my car to restart my search; stressed and sitting there with a sagging tire. Then I saw Eric and his coworker out front. They looked friendly, available, and most importantly, present. I walked over, Eric came to take a look, quickly assessed the situation, had me pull the car up, and got straight to work. He handled it quickly, efficiently, and right before closing time. I didn't have cash on me, but this review is the least I could do after he quite literally did the heavy lifting. If it weren't for Eric, this would have been a very different review. Funny how often the people furthest from the front desk are the ones actually carrying the business. Some people hold the title. Some people do the tire lifting. Eric is clearly the latter. So yes, 5 stars for Eric. In this little roadside drama, he was the fix, while others felt more like the nail in the tire, expecting the other three wheels to do all the work. Thank you, Eric, for the hospitality, the efficiency, and for working right up against the clock.

Saved $600+ and got a safety issue fixed same-day -- highly recommend this shop…read more A month ago my Lexus dealership flagged uneven rear tire wear during an oil change and quoted me $977 total: $345/tire plus a $287 alignment. The tires still had some tread, so I held off. Two weeks later I noticed a plastic shield scraping under the car. When I looked closer, both rear sidewalls had wires showing through -- dangerous, and clearly a bigger issue than the dealership implied. I brought my car to Pacific Tires and asked if they had my size (255/35/18) in stock. They did -- $145/tire, in stock, work started immediately. While they had the car up, I asked about an alignment: they said it was only $80, with a full before/after printout showing the correction. Total cost: $370, versus the $977 I was quoted at the dealership for the identical job (excluding tire brand). Tires were a budget Lexani brand (made in China), which is the right call for my use case -- I work from home and don't put many miles on the car, so I'd rather replace budget tires every 2-3 years (or however little my these last) than pay dealership markup for a premium brand I don't need. Pacific tires are Fast, honest, and transparent about pricing. This is now my go-to shop.

My Go-To Tire Shop Since 2019…read more I've been going to Pacific Tires in Lawndale since 2019, and they've consistently been my go-to for tire service. It all started after my boyfriend had a terrible experience at the Pep Boys across the street. He had a nail in his tire, but they couldn't even locate the nail and weren't particularly helpful when it came to repairing it. We ended up trying Pacific Tires, and the difference in customer service was night and day. Since then, I've returned for oil changes and regular tire services, including rotations, tire repairs, and purchasing both new and used tires. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and straightforward. When there isn't a line, I'm usually in and out pretty quickly. More importantly, I've never felt like they were trying to upsell me. If I ask them to check my tires and tell them I'm looking for used tires, they respect that. They'll show me the best used options available at a reasonable price rather than trying to convince me to spend more than I want to. The last time I purchased tires from them, they lasted me more than four years. This time around, I decided to go with used tires because I have an older car and primarily drive locally for work and around town. If I were taking the car on longer road trips or driving significant distances, I'd make different choices about what I put on the car, but for my current needs, used tires made sense -- and I appreciate that they respect my decision. That's probably what keeps me coming back: they listen to what I actually need. I've had enough experiences with automotive businesses where you feel like you're being talked into something you didn't ask for. Pacific Tires has been the opposite for me. Nearly seven years of returning here says a lot. I'll definitely continue bringing my car here for tires and other services.
