I came here to get my alignment done after running over a huge pothole in the downtown area. I knew my alignment was completely off when I drove home. I took my car to fix the next day to this Firestone location because it was in the area of my corporate training location. I also had to replace my spark plugs, I knew it was long overdue. I brought it over and was greeted immediately by Kenny. He was great and was very attentive. He made me feel confident that my car was in good hands and that they would finish it in a timely manner while fixing what needed to be done. You can easily tell these guys love their jobs. Avoid this location for your own good! What a waste of time and terrible customer service! I scheduled an appointment online for 11am, since I didn't get confirmation I called at 10:20 to confirm it, I was told to show up and if it was before 11am it would be better. I got there 10 minutes later and a young guy told me they were too busy to take my car, he didn't even ask what service my car needed. I explained I had called before getting there to confirm my appointment; I was told i might have called the corporate number and they didn't know what was going on at the location. I ask again if they could service my car, it just needed to get a tire patched, and he said no. i left and dial the same number again and the same lady answered, she confirmed I was calling the Manhattan location, told me that the guy just got there and thought they were busy, she ask me to go back and they would service my car. He didn't just got there I saw him helping a customer before me, which didn't have an appointment and was very polite, was it an issue with me specifically? I wish I'd known. read more

Iam so greatful for firestone and its' staff. I was in need for a maintenance so i did go here. I got the oil change and got a few suggesgions as to what more i needed and was helped by the ever so smiling assistant manager Michael. Later the week, i came back for some new tires. Everything was perfect when i drove off but the next morning i had a flat. I went back to firestone since i had the warranty on the tires and they replaced it for me. Same story, i had a flat once again. So i called then around 6.30pm and the guy over the phone told me to come in first thing next morning. I went first thing in the morning and a few employess were surprised to see me there because this was literally my 4th visit the same week. The manager, Bryce helped me witht the paper work and since the tires were covered all i had to do was pay the replacement fee.They checked the tires again and one of the employee, named Gilbert found the problem and fixed it. I was really worried because i thought i was the one causing the tires to go pop because of the places i drove around. But thank god for these gentlemen mentioned above who helped me throughout the week and made my life so much easier. read more

I have taken my car here a few times and they are always helpful and quick. I called this morning and made an appoinment for 11am and told the staff that I only had about an hour for them to flush my transmission. I arrived at 11am and they took my car in right away and it was finished within the hour. I waited in the lobby and they gave my regular updates on my car. I recommend going to their website, because they always have discount coupons and I was able to save $12 on my transmission flush. (every little bit helps, right?) My air conditioning went out. At first, my usual mechanic thought it was low on antifreeze. But 2 days later, there was still no cold air. So I decided to take it back to my usual mechanic and asked me to leave it another day overnight because he needs to find where there might be a leak. Well, I was going to in about two weeks because we were going to be out of town. So I decided to stop by Firestone and use their 9.99 coupon to check the AC. I went there and Bryce greeted me promptly and asked what it was that my car needed. I said AC not working, air not cold enough. He said no problem, we will look at it and give you a call in 2 hours. So I left and after 1 hour I came back since I had nothing else to do. He then proceeds to explain how the AC system works and what could be the possible problems that can happen with the AC system. Then he gives me some goggles and showed me where the problem was. Excellent! Now the cost. So it was a bit more than what I expected but opened up a credit card with them and gave me a nice discount on my service. Then we got to start talking about cars, family, work, traveling. I like the fact that he was honest and straight up with me. I did to my research the night before for probable causes of failed AC and luckily it wasn't the AC compressor! They needed to order the part and explained all the charges. I know it wasn't an emergency but my 5 year old thinks otherwise. I could of waited another two weeks and gone to my usual mechanic but because he was honest, professional and talked to me like a person, I was more inclined to get it fixed right there and then. Unfortunately, the wrong part was ordered and had to wait an additional 2 hours for my car to be ready. No problem. One of their workers gave me a ride to the local mall to get lunch. I've been here a few times, usually leave feeling like I overpaid for the level of service I was getting, but the convenience and location would bring me back the next time I needed an oil change or tire rotation. This place is okay. The mechanics knew what they are doing and they solved some problems on my car that other mechanics missed. The mechanics also have a really good work dynamic. I probably wont ever come back here because they were really expensive and they did not do the best job explaining why my car had problems, and what would happen if I failed to replace the said parts. I came at a really busy time and waited here for 6 hours. The guy that quoted me for the cost of maintenance kept trying to pimp a credit card on me. I understand they have a quota to make but I already said no twice. I dropped over $700 on four spark plugs, an oil gasket, and labor. It feels like they overcharged me just so they could motivate me to get a credit card. This review was edited because It has been almost a year and I am still mad about my experience at this particular Firestone. I have a PT cruiser that has a crap load of problems. It is a really common car they should have been able to diagnose my issues. I took my car to a hole in the wall shop a week later when my car was over heating. I almost blew a head gasket. I came in because my car was overheating Firestone should have caught this issue. This is the BEST Firestone I've been to!! You would think they're al the same but they really do go above and beyond expectations! Everyone is so friendly and not the fake friendly that ask how your dad is because it's their job to do so, you can tell they actually care. They give you correct waiting times and don't sit around or give you the run around as I've experienced at other Firestone's (the one in Westchester). First time to leave a negative review. Called at 445pm to ask if it is okay to bring my car in to patch one of my tires. The operator said yes. Arrived at 540pm. They said they are closed because theres only one technician there and he needs to go home. Checked yelp again and the closing time is 7pm. I would advise against going here or any other Firestone tire center, especially if they operate like the Manhattan Beach site. I was calling around to numerous tire dealers to get quotes on tires. I wanted a cheap tire and needed to get in/out fast that afternoon. Firestone quoted me one of the cheaper prices and since it was close, I opted to head there. On the phone, they quoted me "$77 out the door with FREE installation". When I got there, the tire was $120+ with all their add-ons!!! I was in a hurry and needed the tire so I had no choice, but to just go with it. I knew there would be tax on top of this and I'm even cool with their BS recycling fee, lifetime rubber valve, etc., but 35% more???? Give me a break!!! They tell you the installation is free and then charge you $16/tire in labor. What the hell is the difference between installation and labor?!?! I know there are a lot better deals out there so I would suggest you opt to bypass Firestone altogether. If you do decide to go here, make SURE you ask them the exact price out the door, including taxes, labor, etc. before you go. They're also going to upsell you on the road hazard protection for another $12 so be prepared for that as well. read more

Consumer beware. I walked into Firestone (MB) to have a nail removed from my tire. The salesperson told me it was a minimum 3 hour wait. Did see 2 cars ahead of me, so I planned to take an Uber to the local mall. Then the salesperson approached me to say if I pay him "cash" without "writing me up" he can get me out the door in 30 minutes or less. How is this ethical? I planned to pay 20 dollars or so for the repair and always tip 10 dollars but jumping ahead of the line if I paid cash doesn't seem right. No paperwork means I can't any warranty on the repair. Sounds more like the employees are embezzling from Firestone. Either way doesn't seem right to me. I told the manager who attempted to justify the behavior. Decided to retrieve my car and take my business elsewhere. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Bryce, Charlie , Sayeg, and the Firestone team in Manhattan Beach. I ended up with a flat tire right before I was supposed to leave on a road trip and their "can do"..."I got this approach" was amazing! They had to order me a new tire, and acted like that was "no big deal", and immediately had the tire scheduled to arrive the same day and stayed 2 hours past closing to ensure that I was able to get my car back that same day and get on the road the next morning. At 8pm, when I got my car they were still smiling and being service focused and friendly to make sure I felt confident in the work they completed. From the first time I called they were helpful and I made an appointment right away. Everyone here is nice and really helpful when discussing what your car actually needs. I brought my car in for front breaks, fuel injector cleaning, and an alignment. Turns out my breaks were only half gone and Toyota had told me I needed them asap.
