They also found an oil leak that Firestone missed on my crankshaft gasket above the oil pan. Overall Firestone absolutely failed me here and wasted my money. The people at Christian Brothers are far more professional, and way more knowledgeable. Save yourself the money and time and go there. Not sure why it would take a lead tech but I suppose I'd rather a lead tech do it. Brought it in and the guy behind the counter was extremely unprofessional and asked me multiple times what I needed then got frustrated his manager didn't "write it up". Said he had to go talk to his assistant manager - then walked back in and quoted $175 to just press in the bearing. When I told him that price was outrageous and I needed the wheel bearing and hub pressed in and to talk to his manager he said his manager was busy and they don't have time to do it. If I could leave negative stars I would. I came in a month ago and had the cooling fan replaced and they said a coolant flush was required to do the job. I came back in as the coolant level was low and requested a top off. The tech grabbed some random jug and was about to top it off when I asked if it was Toyota specific coolant which is red. This coolant was green. He didn't know. He asked the associate helping me Alex. Alex probably has the worst customer service and attitude I've seen. Alex said the reason my coolant is red is because the transmission fluid might be mixing and refused to top off the coolant with the correct fluid. Stay far away from this place. Schedule and brought my vehicle in for diagnostics on what was fought to be a antifreeze leak. Turned out they diagnosed it as a water pump and did a proper flush of the system and put me back out on the road. Very friendly and courteous and worked with my sons has this is there a family go to for repair shop repairs. The mechanics always waved hello & goodbye. Felt like a hometown repair shop. I was visiting from out of town and they took really great care of me. Thank you. Recommend them but be mindful. The service was awful. Had a noon appointment for an oil change. At 2:30 I checked on it and it hadn't been started. Ironically, it was done 15 minutes later. To be honest, I don't think the oil was changed. I was getting a "fleet service" because it's a company vehicle, however, nothing else got done. No fluid checks, no replacing the wipers (which needed it) and they didn't even bother putting a sticker in the window for the next oil change. DO NOT go here for auto work. They said inner tie rod came out after alignment lol your tech doesn't know how to do his job and loosened it instead of adjusting it. Didn't call me to tell me my vehicle broke on the test drive after they touched it. Strike 1) I tried to make an appointment online but later learned that the software for making appointments is really just for making an appointment REQUEST and you need to call the store to actually make an appointment. I can book travel and a flight around the world without talking to a human but I must speak to someone at Firestone to make an appointment because their software is inadequate. This is unacceptable in 2022. Strike 2) I came in to buy one (1) tire for my Tacoma as the tire was destroyed from a flat on the freeway. Firestone was unable to match it or find a similar tire close to my other 3 remaining good tires so I ended up buying four (4) new tires. Strike 3) The tires I selected were not in the store and had to be brought in from another store. More time waiting and inconvenience. Strike 4) My tires were acquired from another store and put onto my truck, but, wait for it... the technician broke one of my tire pressure sensors. They said they would order a new sensor and replace the broken one (free of charge obviously). So now the low tire pressure light on my dashboard is illuminated as I drive around waiting for my replacement sensor to come in. Not a huge deal - but still inconvenient and should never have happened. Strike 5) The replacement sensor arrives, I bring my truck back in, and they put the sensor back on. Strike 6) Manager tells me good news - bad news: The sensor is back on but they were not able to reset the dashboard low pressure light. No explanation as to WHY they were unable to reset it. "It might reset on its own" he tells me. But here's the best part... he tells me to take it to another Firestone and they will quickly reset it. Just pop-in it'll be real quick. Give me a freakin' break. I live in the fastest growing city in Arizona where there is a long line for everything - nothing is quick. To suggest that I would be able to just drop in to another Firestone without an appointment and jump the line in front of other customers for a quick reset of the sensor THEY COULD NOT REST is insulting to my intelligence. Strike 7) I also had Firestone change my oil while the truck was there. The technician who broke my sensor also failed to put a service date/mileage sticker in the upper left corner of my windshield. I know this is a small thing and that a 2019 Tacoma will tell me when it needs an oil change, but attention to detail matters. Give me a freakin' sticker, bro. First time in thirty-seven (37) years of getting my oil changed in various vehicles and dozens of establishments that the technician/mechanic didn't put a sticker up as a courtesy. Weak sauce. Bottom Line: Firestone broke my truck and sent me to another location to have it fixed. More time wasted - more inconvenience. I will take my car to Toyota where there are competent employees and PAY to have the sensor reset properly. Firestone has lost a customer. One customer isn't a huge deal, I know, but hopefully when people read this review on yelp folks will make wise decisions about where to get their vehicles serviced and buy new tires. Do. Not. Ever. Use this company. For any reason. Please. They lie. They're incompetent. They're unprofessional. They throw literal tantrums (The manager Ryan in particular), and if they don't like what you have to say, they do everything they can to take vengeance and punish. Their "master tech", who is the only person "qualified" to do most labor apparently, can't even properly measure engine oil and power steering fluid. They had my truck from May 3 until I picked it up yesterday, essentially, and still it's not right, and now has all sorts of new lights on, suddenly. It's a very long story, but basically they messed up a job on my truck, which in turn,I believe, destroyed my engine. They lied about it and covered it up with offers to comp labor under the guise of wanting to keep a customer, literally performed labor on my vehicle without authorization, and held my timing belt hostage. I ended up buying a new engine (rebuilt with zero miles), with them comping labor, and allegedly fixing my power steering (me still not aware of how they had likely been the cause of the engine going in the first place). They messed up the second engine so much that the warranty wouldn't cover it, and they were forced to pay for another engine, but strong armed me into taking an engine with 50k instead of zero like they're was before. I now have a truck broken in ways I don't even know yet. And don't expect much better help from Thomas, I believe the franchise owner. This isn't even mentioning how Ryan, after the second engine was ruined, possibly from them over-filling the oil, which I observed personally, got angry that I was angry when they had promised to send my vehicle to another Firestone to diagnose, and to punish me and drag out the process sent me through a claims adjuster process, which was denied on his half, but still added about a month to this entire fiasco. They are so adamant about refusing anyone get a second opinion (seems likely because then another mechanic will find how they mess everything up), that they take items off of vehicles they are only supposed to diagnose, and then tell you your vehicle can't be diagnosed elsewhere because a major part in that diagnosis is gone and they're waiting for the new part to come in. They know you likely NEED your vehicle in a timely fashion and aren't above using that against you in every way they can. Then when you get with Thomas, he'll tell you there was "frustration on both sides". Guess where that frustration came from, Thomas? This likely would have all been avoided had your alleged "master tech" been able to put a timing belt into a vehicle without it then ruining an engine and your lying toddler of a manager hiding it, and then your alleged master tech messing up a second engine because it seems he can't pour engine oil, and about 4-5 more times that your staff just weren't capable of doing a proper job? But yeah. Your staff was totally justified in their frustration right? This isn't even all of what happened. They make me sick. Please don't victimize yourself. Avoid at all costs read more

If I could give negative stars I would. These people are crooks. Took my son's car in, for a check charging system error. Did some research online, and it said it might be battery or alternator. I call them up explained to them what I found and the tech tells me it's definitely the starter. $795.63 later the same error comes on two days after we get it back! Took it back, now they are saying it's the alternator which happened to be "fine" before. Now they want $661 to fix the "problem". They have the audacity to say they waived the $118 diagnostic fee as if I should be grateful after paying almost 800 for something we didn't even need! DO NOT USE THEM!! Save yourself $$$ read more

Definitely the WORST experience ever. I had stopped using them for everything based on them never being able to pinpoint a problem and asking me to keep pouring money and time into their supposed fixes. However, I had purchased a lifetime alignment and went back. I was told we can't get your alignment done because the tire rods need replaced. I replaced them and then that still didn't fix it. Now it is the motor mounts and the axel....couple that with the lack of communication and the horrible customer service. The guy was on the phone with a vendor on speaker phone when I went to go get my car and pointed out that he was on the phone only to make me wait as the guy continues about week plans they should make together. I called, they quoted me a price over the phone and even remembered me when I walked in the door. I did the work myself so I can't speak to that but their customer service was friendly and efficient. I honestly think they didn't do any work to my car and just charged me they told me they test drove my vehicle and that my brakes aren't squeaking but I can hear it every time I stop. they were supposed to do a brake fluid exchange they said it would help w the "soft peddle" but that didn't happen. they said my brakes are fine but the peddle is soft and is squeaking when I push on the brakes. they also did a pressure test I didn't ask for I only asked for a coolant flush and exchange and they did an ac performance check w dye I didn't ask for I only asked for an ac recharge seems like they tried to scam and charge me for extra stuff and didn't actually do any work to my vehicle. read more

4 minutes ago I went to have an oil change yesterday was quoted $65 asked if they price matched for another place down the street offering $50 they did price match and everything was great until today when my car was leaking oil on my drive way and I had to take it back to get looked at which was a inconvenience because they didnt make sure to clean and tighten things. Wow, first off I have experience working in a tire store, as well as, doing frame straightening and Alignments. This place is just a machine to sale tires. Took my car in to have an alignment done and rotation. They said that they couldn't rotate the tires due to wear (that's why you rotate your tires in the first place) I went home and measured tread depth and they are still within the manufacturers guide lines. TRYING to scam consumers and replace tires before they are needed!!! Second thing. Car went in with a straight steering wheel and not pulling / drifting. Came out pulling to the right and off center steering wheel. I'm pretty sure they adjust to wear out the tires faster. So, check to print outs when they give them to you!!! read more

I have been taking my car there for multiple years for routine oil changes and minor issues with my car. Within the past 2 months my car has been there 4 times. I originally brought it in for a squealing sound my car was making. After dropping it of for half the day they said they couldn't hear what I was talking about. A week later I brought it in a showed them a video so they could hear what I was talking about. I paid for them to fix what they told me was wrong. Two days after it being fixed, I hear the sound again. I bring it in and they tell me it is actually my power steering pump. So I pay for them to replace that. 1 month after that, my car is leaking power steering fluid. I bring it back to them because that part is under warranty. They give me a new pump no charge. 2 hours after I pick my car up, I am driving down the main highway and my entire inner wheel well on the passenger side comes off of my car and into the middle of the road. I call them to tell them what happened and they said that if I buy a new piece they will reimburse me for half of it if I bring them the receipt, or I can bring them the part that fell off that is in the middle of the road now! The reason I called them is because they removed that piece to install my power steering pump and they obviously did not put it back correctly, if it is falling off 2 hours after I pick up my car. They do not take responsibility for their mistakes. I gave them the chance to make this right and fix what they did incorrectly, but they are making this my problem. My $50 oil change became a $150 oil change because they did some things I didn't give them permission to do.
