Horrible, terrible customer service from manager Tim. He literally walked away from me as I was asking a question about the $550 repair he was suggesting. He doesn't explain anything. He is rude. He acts as if you, the paying customer, are a nucance to him. You know it's bad when the other store knows all about him and his poor business practices. I took my vehicle to the Limonite store and guess what, that same repair was $100 less than what Tim quoted, for the same part! How is that possible you ask? Well that's because Tim parted it out. Why would you do that to your customer? Is that extra $100 going to make his books look better, yep it will if he pads every repair. I had another bad experience with this guy on another ocassion too. Apparently a lot of other people have too. I was told that Tim has the worst reputation as a store manager in the entire region. So what does that tell you.? Go to the Limonite store, at least you know that they are honest and do good work. The other day I went to get my oil change in my car ... the girl said it would be two hours ... I said I will try to get someone to get me so I waited ... other people showed up and they were getting helped. I'm got upset that after an hour my car never went in to get the work done and the other customer had his car go in after 15 minutes . It was completely a waste of my time and very unfair ... the guy said he has another mechanic that just got there but never once apologized ... the girl just looked at me and gave me my key... We only come here since my husband purchased the lifetime alignment service. The front office is rude and under a lot of stress. The mechanics are nice and are the only ones that actually acknowledge the customers. We went in at 11:00am with an appointment and left at 2:40pm.They should invest in a better waiting area since the customers will be spending the entire day there. read more

I'm going to start this off with if I could give zero stars I would. I don't usually write reviews EVER ! But recently I've realized how pissed I am with this location. I went here not even a month ago for an oil change which if I'm correct was around $70-$80 for a Nissan Sentra . & they also charged me for cleaning my battery which I asked for . Mind you it hasn't even been a month and recently I had to open the hood to check my car, I believe this was my mistake for putting so much damn trust into this place but I left .. and returned home to my father checking the car . OIL WAS BLACK I MEAN BLACKKKK !!! So I was a little thrown off as to why if I just spent $70-80 . (On just the oil change) . The battery was horrible like it's the same nothing was ever done my father did a better job of cleaning it. I am mad because I tried reaching out more then 2 times they hung up twice and left me on hold for over 30mins. If you are going to keep my car for over 4-6 hours and not do anything and take my money , this was bull crap . I will never come here again and tbh I would say don't come here either go somewhere where they will actually do their job and appreciate your money correctly. I asked the to do an oil change with no inspections, They ignored me and came up with all kinds of problems. They tried to up sale me on the phone and in person. I was just trying to get back to work! I will be going to an oil change only place from now on. I would give 0 stars if I could!!! PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! I went in there for a simple oil change and alignment and little did I know, it would be hell. I had an appointment for 11. I expected that we weren't going to be there long so we decided to walk around downtown while they worked on my car and they said it would be 2 hours. Then they call me after 2 hours and say that they haven't even done anything to my car yet and they said that my car needed $2,700 worth of work which was outrageous to me because I keep up with my car's maintenance. So I head back to Firestone to see in person what my car supposedly needs. I asked him to check my brakes and he pulled off the drums and the mechanic and I inspected the shoes. Everything in them was fine. I said I would change the brakes myself in a month. He tried really hard to sell me new brakes. I went back to the waiting room and he called me out to the floor a minute later and said look the brakes are broken. They are leaking. I said they weren't leaking a minute ago when we inspected them. I told him to put it back together and I would fix them myself. He told he can't let me leave like that and that he needed to fix them for 600 dollars. I told him no. I am not paying. He was pushy and tried talking down to me. He said he can't let me leave and he had to fix them. I then took a picture of the place it was leaking in the brakes which were now removed and you could see a fresh scrape mark where a screw driver was used to pry the fork off of the shoe. We waited till 6 pm for him to fix the brakes. He then tried to blame us for the brakes leaking. He told me I don't understand how brakes work. Which little did he know I understand enough but I called my brother who is a Nissan dealership mechanic and he said the same thing I thought. That they pried out the fork or they pressed the brakes without the drum installed which would cause it to expand. So we waited for my car from 11am-6pm and he didn't offer a discount or anything and was very rude and argumentative to us. I was about to get a lifetime alignment but I downgraded to just the one alignment because I was so upset. We asked for the manager and it tuned out to be him. His name is Tim Adams. If that is how management treats customers, wow! I will never go back there again. read more

I called to get an estimate for brake service and I wanted to schedule it out for the 21st. He told me there was availability this Sunday but I was going to get my oil changed as well and I asked for the price and he told me. Took the car here to get all tires replaced and not only did I get a good deal for them, but everyone that assisted us were very professional and didn't try to upsell anything after telling them what I wanted (unlike another location that I called earlier...). I'd recommend checking prices online and calling to confirm prices ahead of time before your appointment. DO NOT take your vehicle for ANY type of service to this location. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service. Took my truck to get 4 new tires, supposedly new brake drums were installed. Picked up my truck and thr truck started shaking when applying the brake. These guys forgot to tighten all lug nuts on the front tires and warped my new rotors that were installed November 2020. The manager Tim has HORRIFIC customer service. He didnt want to hear a word and kept telling me the rotors in the front were warped. Yes, Firestone staff warped them because they failed to tighten all lug nuts! These guys are a total RIP off. They're quick to take your money, but the service is beyind HORRID. Also, Tim, the manager stated the back brake drums and brake pads would be the Wagner brand, but come to find out from another Firestone employee they NEVER installed the Wagner brake drums or pads Beware! They installed DuraLast drums and pads Beware! Tim, you have HORRID customer service skills and without a doubt you lack professionalism!! BUYERS BEWARE!!! read more

Took my car in for a flat tire. There was a screw almost dead center and was told that it could not be repaired because the screw was at an angle. Also my tread was too low for a fix. Curious that I had just taken my car in for service about a month ago and was told my tread was perfect. Luckily they did not have my tire in stock. Was told it was discontinued. I called Costco and luckily they had my tire in stock. The tech looked at my flat tire and said that it could easily be repaired, not an issue. I asked about the tread wear and he said I had plenty of miles to go. This Firestone should probably not be your first choice for repair. Its terrible that this location perpetuates the untrustworthiness of an auto repair shop. Look elsewhere! read more

I will push my car up the steepest hills before I ever bring my car back here. I am sitting in the waiting room as I wrote this. I'm getting an uber inspection done for the second time here. The first time I failed because of my tires. Ok no problem I got those replaced. I brought it back less than 2 weeks later with brand new tires and expect it go quick and easy. It wasn't. The guy that took me in said it would be about an hour. So an hour and 45 minutes later I asked him what the hold up was. He told me that I needed new brakes. New brakes that I did not need less than 2 weeks ago when I came in. Than he says that it's not all that bad and the brakes can wait. A few minutes later another guy comes out and tells me I need new wind shield wipers. Which I also didn't need 2 weeks ago either. On top of that I told him that I put brand new ones on right before the initial inspection and that I don't understand why these supposed problems were not fought up the first time. He had nothing to say about it. My only conclusion is that they just aren't willing to let me leave without spending some more money. These guys are not helpful at all. Go to another location because you will be waiting around in this dirty waiting room with old coffee and spider webs everywhere. read more

BEWARE--If you have a 4WD vehicle, Firestone will not inform you that it is common practice to replace all 4 tires, and that most places will not replace only two (even other Firestone stores). The Firestone place on Market street in Riverside failed to inform me of this. Now I need to replace the other two tires, am stuck in Northern California, and cannot find anyone who will replace only two on a 4wd. So, I bought $400 worth of tires from these guys that are now useless--AND the company won't make it right because they say there is a difference between "recommended" and required. In order to make a sale, they failed to give full information, and now they won't do the right thing. The irony is, I would have bought 4 tires instead of 2 if I'd known this was common practice. This is the worst tire place I have ever been to!!! I will never go back. I will WALK first. Rolled in with a tire that was almost flat and asked that they please check it as I was late to a doctor's appointment. TWO HOURS they told me! TWO HOURS until they could "fit me in" though it would have probably taken just a few minutes to check the tire and repair it or change it. And this is not the first time. Nope. I am a repeat customer because I am local and I like to support local businesses so I keep trying. Last time I was here, I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes before they even acknowledged my presence and then it took a day and a half to put on two tires. Another time, a woman assisted me after waiting 45 minutes only to roll her eyes when I interrupted her personal phone call to tell her I was waiting. Another time, I was given a price quote and a second tire store quoted me a price on the SAME TIRES for hundreds cheaper. The stories go on.. from family and friends. I have never ONCE had a good experience here. I wish there was a rating lower than one. RUDE.. SLOW.. OVERPRICED.. Why would you EVER go here???? I have never been anywhere for ANY service that is as horrible as this place. You have lost my business for LIFE and I hope that I save others the same frustration with this review. read more

I come here for the 19.99 oil change on Saturday. They are quick and I never had a problem with my oil change. I would not go here for anything else because when it gets complicated, the communication with the front desk to the mechanics on the floor falls thru and everything goes down hill from there. Also, be very weary on the recommended "fixes" that they say to you. I was told that my three week old tires needed replacement. Again, oil change in this place is good. I've followed Robert (Store Manager) from the Redlands store, to Yucaipa, and now to Riverside because he has treated me and my family and friends that come in so well! He always lets us know the best day/time to come in if we are in a hurry as well as gives great customer service. If there are multiple things needing work on my car, he lets me know what needs to be worked on first, second, etc.. I normally come in for an oil change or tire rotation, and I'm always made aware of anything else that may need my attention, be it a license plate light that has gone out or anything else! My "tech" was so rude to me closed the door in my face, no eye contact when talking to me, horrible customer service. It never hurts to smile guys! And an he and a half for oil change? Great customer service! Came down from Beaumont and lost a tire. Ended up having to have a tired order and it was going to take a few hours but I felt really taken care of by the staff at this location. Mark Anthony took a look at my car and was very aware of my needs. I felt like he genuinely cared about the whole situation I was going through. NO QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY OR THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX: Took my car here for REPAIRS. I experienced the following problems with the service or lack thereof at this Market St. location: 1) It took 5 hours to do 3 things--not major items either; 2) When my car was finished, I started my car up and opened the windows and the entire right side of the car's windows would not open. A problem that DID NOT exist when I brought the car in. 3) Manager Robert or Maurice (not sure which) said that since the diagnostician had gone home for the day I would have to come in the next day; 4) Next time I try to bring the car in to have the windows fixed---the diagnostician was not in that day either!!!! What was remarkable about this was that in the case of #3 & 4 there was no attempt to do the following: 1) engage in creative problem solving----like calling the car dealer to find out the code for fixing the electrical problem they had caused? 2) Suggest that I go to one of Firestone's other locations that did have their diagnostician on duty; 3) No attempt to call one of their other locations to arrange for me to get the service that they could not provide at the Market st. location. On my own initiative I suggested to Robert that I could take the car to another Firestone location to get this fixed and would he call ahead so that they knew I was coming, their diagnostician WAS on duty and that I would not be charged? "Oh yes you can do that." Gee why couldn't he think of that? Where is the Firestone quality customer service???? Not at Market St. Went to the Alessandro Blvd, Moreno Valley location and they knew without asking or being told to call the car dealer to get the electrical code! Windows fixed in minutes. WOW! Firestone Management---you have some people at your Market Street location who need additional training in quality customer service. read more

Extremely disappointed with how far the quality of service has fallen. My first appointment wasn't honored by the store manager, so I took time off work and arrived at the location to be turned away. I scheduled a second appointment, I some basic maintenance and also requested a complete vehicle inspection and never received it. My vehicle sat for 5 hour requiring further attention and the Firestone stuff never attempted to call to notify me of the additional work needed. It wasn't until I arrived to pick up my vehicle at 5pm that they informed me of the additional repairs needs. Moments after leaving the Firestone location my tire senore light came on, which should have been inspected with the vehicle. I've lost complete confidence in Firestones ability to safely maintain my vehicles. Now I have to complete the repairs myself, not what I expected dropping my car off this morning. read more

I have a long story about my breaks that have been squealing for months now. I got an oil change at PepBoys in Moreno Valley a couple weeks prior, and they do free break inspections with an oil change. So, I had them take a look. They came back with unfortunate news saying that my breaks were almost metal to metal and that I needed to get them replaced ASAP. I couldn't afford new breaks right away so I said I would return. Fast forward to scheduling an appointment for my breaks they told me one of their machines was down so I called around to see if anyone else could do my breaks. I am so glad that machine was down and led me to Firestone!! The man at the desk listened to my story and assured me that the job will get done right. Few minutes later he comes and gets me and takes me to my car that's hoisted up and shows me my breaks and says I don't need new breaks and that the ones on my car are practically new! All that needed to be done was resurface the drums and buff the shoes. Firestone, thank you for being honest and saving a stressed out person some money! I took my car here to get an alignment done ( I have a lifetime warranty on alignments ) and i have to say this place is way better than any other chain auto company i've been to. They were very professional and nice, no questions asked (my car's lowered with aftermarket suspension and these types of companies like to harass you for that ), but yeah they had no problem with my car being modded. The only thing bad was the waiting ( I had an appointment at 4:30 didn't get my car back until 6 something ) wasn't that bad though since they were busy. This place has gone downhill a lot since Rex left. Service is super inconsistent - sometimes it's very professional, sometimes its garage staff with sketchy visible tattoos. And pricing is inconsistent, too. Sometimes they discount because I work downtown, sometimes they shrug at me when I ask. Sometimes I get charged quite a bit of money for them to check why my check engine light is on, sometimes they do it for free. I chose this location because it was nearest to my home however I would've preferred to make that drive elsewhere if I had known it was going to take 7 1/2 hours for them to have a battery ready for my car. It wasn't the wait that I mind but it was the fact that I called at 7 AM and had to call three times within that time span because each time I called they told me that they were "on the way with the new battery". But in reality didn't have it until 2:30pm. Other than that ........ Once I arrived, they replaced my battery in about 30 minutes which was fine. read more

I've been there quite a few times as I am a card member with four kids that drive it just makes it easy for them to pull in. Have the car worked on charge it to my account walk home. Catch up on homework and pick up the car later. this location is only busy because there's nothing else downtown for a quick oil, change, tire, rotation, or alignment although when Frank was their service manager, he help me rebuild my sons engine in his truck. we miss Frank? But for him to get his own store, he had to go out to Temecula area okay is the situation that happened with me. I'm trying to teach my oldest daughter how to become more responsible. She is now four years in college going for her masters and she needed a oil change but she's short on money for college and work I make sure she applies more college time then work time so she said that she need a oil change can you pay for it? I explain to her that she needs to get more responsible on her expenses and decided to show her how to do a oil change in the backyard so we got the car up on the ramps. Got everything ready try to take the socket off and we cannot get that off for anything. We were shaking the entire car while pulling this thing called fire stone and asked them if they riveted oil pan bolt asked if they could please just on tighten it a little bit. They said sure I sent my daughter down there. They told her they cannot loosen it unless they do the oil change after he had already agreed to unloosing it buy this time we were very upset after spending a good hour in the back trying to get the bolt off I had them do the oil change, I have no choice. I don't have power equipment to loosen the bolt for what reason that bolt was powered on. I have no idea when she picked up car. The young man tells my daughter oh, it was so easy for us to turn the bolt. read more

I called asking about prices on diagnostics and they hung up. When I went to their location I paid for the full synthetic oil change. I dropped my car off at 12:00. My car wasn't ready until 4:00. And even tho I paid for the 5,000 mile synthetic oil change the sticker said to get my next oil change at 3,000. And when I called this morning whoever answered the phone told to simply just disregard the sticker and that I could go up to 7-10,000 miles. I've made three trips to this Firestone in the last few years. Once for battery replacement, once for Oil Change/tuneup, and once for Tire replacement. In all three cases the staff has been thoroughly professional and helpful to me. All estimates were given to me up front, and they always made it clear to me which services were recommended, how critical they were, and how long I could put them off for. The work was done in the time they said it would be, and the cost/service was exactly what they said it would be. After a bad experience elsewhere, it's nice to have a place I feel I can rely on to take care of my car. read more
